For real, I just restarted playing Slay (againagainagain) and started FFXIV around the time JoCat did, and loved it about as much! So this is a great treat.
I love how JoCat's "bad player impulse" voice is about 60% of the way I play.

They’re both right. Double Orb Walkers used to be a regular fight, then was moved to the Elite Pool because it was too hard, and then was moved to the sphere event because it was STILL too hard, replacing the event exclusive fight of 3 shapes and an Orb Walker and being replaced in the elite pool by Reptomancer.

I'm conflicted. Ik it's the right play to not do that, but a lot of my fun from roguelikes comes from pulling off builds rather than just winning.
Honestly.. I like that to, But I don't want the control of what I get, Its the same in Isaac to. there is no "build" I can go for. But its still hillarious to break the game with whatever jank I get.

Yeah you can’t really force a build.
But sometimes I go in thinking “I’d like to play an exhaust build on Ironclad, but I doubt the game will give me the cards”, and then I get a floor 0 Fiend Fire and a Floor 1 Feel No Pain.
My god i love how they are so matched. Frost carefree enthusiastic spirit goes so well with Jocat's mild "fanboy" awkwardness. It's just so sweet to watch lol

Day 101 of asking Frost and Andrew how their day is going.
It’s now Day 1 of asking JoCat how his day is going, and it will only remain as Day 1.
There may or may not be a day 2 👀 also today has unfortunately not been great. Had a panic attack on stream and had to cut it off. I think between all the news going on with twitch and it’s creators I’ve been more stressed than normal and it got to me. But now I get a long evening to relax so it’ll become a better day for sure 🫡

I was only going to watch the first few minutes and then dip but the dynamic between you and JoCat was great and I was learning real Slay the Spire strats. I was entertaining and educational.

This is the ascension level I'm stuck on! (with everyone except the Watcher who is even lower but I like to pretend she doesn't exist) Lots of great advice for newer players, thank you -- and it felt like hanging with friends, the way you guys interacted. I play on PS4 so can't do all the fun mods I keep seeing on your channel... and -- you talked about smoke bombs -- maybe it's different in your game, but I was really pissed off when my bomb didn't work to get me out of that Act 4 elite fight. It SAYS it works in non-boss combat, but apparently it lies! (PSA: it does work on regular elites)

Jocat the real person is fine, but good lord, the thought of trying to teach JoCat's internet persona a game that takes patience and thought would be painful.
You two have a very synergistic friendly chemistry which brings me a lot of joy! Normally I find slay the spire game play from other people too boring but you two together just make it a good time. I can't wait for part two!

I'm bad at the game. But.... my favorite build I've ever made was just absurd energy gain, I had the thingy that gives you block on first turn for free and i just had a ridiculous amount of out maneuvers, energy relics and draws combined with energy manipulation stuff and then my only attack were blowout cards and I just melted stuff
