Honestly, I feel like slaying with the silent-if done right-is the hardest. Might just be me, but I feel like the amount of synergy deviates way too much with the silent, and you can basically give them everything that they *aren't* building towards. This is also true for other classes, certainly, but I feel like their cards work a bit better in tandem with one another. If they're going shiv's give 'em poison. if they're going poison, give 'em shivs and discard. Unless you get a good shop, it becomes a real struggle, but maybe that's just because I'm too inexperienced to see the value of every card.
The silent is a little harder because you do actually need to know what you're doing to be really good, there's far less synergies that involve throwing in the whole hand and ending turn
I think silent has the advantage to have a lot of card manipulation, so you're less vulnerable to "dead draws". And you have strong turns 1, so you can avoid some damage. I'd say the hardest would be the watcher, I think she is the more vulnerable to "dead draws" and having a large deck. I think you could only give defensive card for example, and the watcher would struggle (she usually relies on preparing a good turn and one-turning the enemies, or stance changing which is harder to guarantee with tons of garbage in the draw pile). I'd say the defect and the ironclad are way better than the two other.
Not necessarily. I like shivs, I often take them for early damage, but discard is basically good in every deck to some degree, depending on what exactly you get and how many copies you take, and poison can be useful to have as a solve for certain fights. The biggest problem I run into is not scaling or being able to go infinite (which you can perhaps call scaling). You can take a bunch of shivs, but if you never take terror/envenom/phantasmal killer/accuracy etc. you have, at best, 16 damage. You could also take every poison card but skip every block solution and the deck would need to find either a catalyst (in recent experience having multiple if your damage plan is entirely poison is good for awakened one) or some form of intangible to live. If your deck does insane damage, 1 turn of intangible and your face can just be enough to beat the heart. I've had over 200 poison on turn 1 and it died on turn 3. Poison is seen more as an archetype because it's a scaling damage solution that works with any other poison card, but I often find crippling cloud/fumes/corpse explosion to be just generally good at 1 copy for certain fights (like shapes if you roll a bunch of spikers and you have a lot of shivs), and flask/deadly poison can be good takes in act 3 if you have too few damage multipliers on your shivs, or if you have a clunky infinite. It's not ideal, but if it prevents you from dying it's fine. Tldr: Not having scaling will kill you eventually unless you're infinite. Time eater/beat of death will kill low quality infinites. If you pick every blade dance and skip every damage multiplier, you'll die.
I have yet to see the specimen relic despite the fact that I have approximately 150 hours and also that the silent is my most played character. The only other relic I have yet to see is mark of the bloom for rather obvious reasons

Any advice to be obtained from either a viewer or the big man himself, im struggling alot on asc 4 with the defect, im finding that my damage doesnt scale and by act 3 im feeling like im hitting them with pool noodles. Any advice on what i can do to make asc 4 a bit easier on myself? Not cheese or anything like that, just tips and tactics to help out
