- It's finally time to share my top 20 favorite manga of all time! I've read a lot of manga and have collected some great series, but these are the best of the best in my opinion. Let me know what you think of my list and comment your own personal top manga lists!

@ThePromG My first thoughts: Wow, has it really been 2 years since you've done this video? IIRC my first video I saw of yours was that video, which got me back into reading manga!

1. Gantz: Yeah ThePromG, you and I have the same favorite manga. The difference is that I have a hard time reccomending it because it's very much the creation of a bigoted old man.
The rest are in no order
2. Eden Endless World: One of my faves for all the great moments in it, however I didn't understand a lot of the second half, and again, it's clearly written by a bigoted old man.
3. Battle Royale: For the longest time this actually was my favorite manga. It's the OG Hunger Games, only a lot better.
4. Pocker Monsters Special(only the first 3 volumes): I know what you're thinking? Pokemon, really? Yeah, what you don't know is that the mangaka was given a LOT of freedom for these first 3 volumes, and so they naturally gave us what is pretty much a PG version of a Quentin Tarantino movie. The MC is constantly almost dying, sends multiple pokemon out at the same time, and is constantly killing his opponents and other pokemon. I cannot stress how much of a blast this is!
5. Inuyashiki: I got the memory of a gnat so I can't remember anything specific about it. What I can say however is that like Gantz it's very fast paced, and because it's so mercifully short(10 volumes, and 85 chapters) I was able to binge it in 2 dayss, IIRC the second day I read the the last 8 volumes!)
6. Defense Devil: Story about a demon who plays the defense attorney for people who he believes don't belong in hell. If he loses a case, he gets tortured for all eternity with the person he's defending. The story about the orphans is one of my favorite arcs in anything, manga or otherwise. Dear god that arcs final page too! :D
7. Brynhildr in the Darkness: Another fast paced manga. Words are hard, so I can't say anything tangible about it sadly. I will however say that despite my love for it, it's got a lot of disturbing shit that I wouldn't be able to handle anymore, and I hate the ending. But I remember most of this manga being gold!

Man... Eden is just an amazing manga. So many themes starting from post apocalyptic, war, politics, religions, local ethnics, slice of life, sci-fi, cyberpunk, horror, etc. The writer somehow managed to mix all of that themes and connecting each one of them into the main story. One of the best manga i've ever read. And also it's underrated as hell. I'm currently reading Blade of The Immortal at chapter 35. So far the story is really great.
I was waiting until you mention Gantz thought it's no longer part of your manga list. So many feels while reading Gantz. It was an experience and something I never got from other manga series.
Reading gantz is like snorting coke. Im currently 320 chapters in and i love this shit, the tae-chan kei-chan thing thats going on rn is really annoying tho ngl

I really appreciate seeing Eden: it's an Endless World get some recognition!These were all great manga choices but a few of them were in places either too low on the list or too high up on the list, but that's okay because it's your subjective list. Although I was anticipating Battle Angel Alita to be on this list.

@@ThePromG 1 thing I remember with the Sanctuary manga, is that 1 of the creators of the manga also has a connection to Kazuo Koike who worked on Crying Freeman, 1 reason I wanted to collect that series long ago, that the name of it, went under my radar, almost forgetting that it existed.

Yup it used to be in my top 20 but I decided to omit it from the list as I haven’t read any for like a year. Got to about chapter 150

I have been reading manga since 2013 and my most favourite is surprisingly blue lock,it was previously Akira/Berserk,but yeah this one dethroned them all for me,I have been rereading it 3rd time

Yup. I've recently finished that manga. The story is simply epic. I think it really has some inspiration from Evangelion because the colloid stuff is pretty simillar with lcl. And also the ending is somewhat simillar and less depressing than eva. One of the best manga i've ever heard.

I could have added the whole catalog of Asano and Oshimi. Because I am Edgy(angsty)XAsXF×ck. But I figured that would be pretty lame, so I tried my bestest breastest asbestos to add some different mangakas. . . Sooo hard though. I LOVE THEM!
I would've probably placed Happiness in my top 20 but I mostly went with manga I've either completed reading or read a good amount of. I sadly only have volume 1 same with flowers of evil( just the omnibus version).
Dragon Ball is a totally valid pick. It has excellent paneling and artwork.
