Im glad you made this video, i get a lot of hate because of this subject but there is no doubt to me this is factual information. Discus are just a different animal.

I like the TH-cam video you Do on your BlueRam and Apistogramma and your Disk😊
Very useful information. I know you had a similar video a few years ago but this video answered more questions about what size tanks and feeding schedules too. Thank you.
Great info. Thanks for sharing
Fantastic Video George. Thanks!🙂
Thank you for the video, George. I always get a little nugget to take away that helps me with my own Discus Tank whenever I watch your channel.
Thank you Mark. Glad to hear that!
thanks for the info
Hey mate, have enjoyed the last video and this video so have suscribed :)
@@horsingwithhugo thank you!
What is the smallest tank to put them in
2-3 fish per 20 Gallon tank until they reach 3.5 inches
Hey, great video! I am actually in the market to getting some discus again. I have a 75 gallon tank with some community fish (not over stocked). It is a planted tank with Co2, I have been reading so much about stunted growth with discus, bare bottom being better than substrate, smaller tanks better for growing out etc. So many conflicting information. I think I am just going to pull the trigger since I have kept discus before in a bigger tank and also seen growth. I only was wondering in terms of paraguard, how do you dose it in your tank when you add fish to your community tank? I do not have a quarantine tank, so I would be doing the same thing as you when adding new fish as a preventative measure. I do also have a catfish which is scaleless, would that be a concern? Also what about the plants?
I have never used C02 in a Discus Tank so not sure how that would play? As far as Paraguard I use it with all new fish going into a new tank or adding fish. It is a very safe product and I personally have never had a problem with it.
Your videos are very enlightening.
One of my Discus fish has a small white pimple in its mouth, any advice?
What size tank?

35 US Gallons. Do you have Seachem Paraguard? If so use that for three days and on the 4th day do a 30% water change and ad 1 tablespoon of aquarium Tock salt
I have a couple of 2 inch discus in my 20 gal tank but are not eating. the water quality is perfectly balanced, what can I do? I am growing desperate afraid of them starving. Garlic Guard is not activating their apatite nether.
How long have you had them?
George, can I put 5 small Discus in a 10 gallon tank? Would this help them grow or is the tank too small?
20 Gallon Minimum. I have had 2 very young Discus in a 0 to get them to grow., but not 5
I have a heavily planted 125 gallon tank. Can I add 8 juveniles . I don’t care if they take longer to grow. They would be 3.5 inches.
Easily, but I need to know what else you have in the tank!
@@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto no other fish in the tank, two big pieces of
Root some rocks that’s it. Fx6 at one end Eheim classic 1500 with 262 motor at the other end. Right now 78 to 80 degrees, tons of LED lighting. Tank has been u 11/2 years. Only been plants in the tank. I have a few snails. Filters have not been ever cleaned.
Oh I also inject CO 2 at different times.
I have not used C02 so can’t speak to that with Discus. My plants are mostly Anubias and Java fern. Low light thick plants!
Who the hell has time to feed a fish 5-6 times a day. Never heard that
That is juvenile fish up to 4 months old. If you are a breeder.
