Beautiful
Thank you for all of your comments . Great Discus info ! The hobby doesn’t talk like this . Experience counts 85% and the other 15% takes the Discus hobby to a higher level . Most people have some kind of info that is good . With wild , commercial , hobbyist etc . What your video to me was color .thats the color factor that’s the15% to build on . Thanks again nuff said. 🙏👨👩👧👧🇺🇸😎
@@glenclute1863 thank you!
Great information thanks 🙏🏽
@@adammercado9061 Thank you!
Very nice. How did the fish do?
Great video. How many Severum Cichlid in that tank? Wow!
That is the best packing job I think I have ever seen.
Yes, panda garra is best algae eater among the ones I have tried, if you consider all points like size, bio waste and interaction with other fish Golden algae eater SAE Pleco Amano shrimp Snails Mollys Otos The list goes on...
Great video 👍
@@Bock75 thank you!
This was a last-minute video. Sorry, I had my phone the wrong way for some parts of it. Keep watching; I finally figure it out. Lol
I love the Black Diamond Stingray. I wish I had a tank big enough... and the money! lol
Fantastic Video. Love the Stingray footage. Where do those rays come from?
Please Like, Subscribe, Comment, and Share. Thank you.
So i have seen people have them in the substrate of their fish tanks, is this fine to do with proper oxygen in the tank?
Maybe I missed it, but why put the inserts inside the tank and not the outside?
@@dafly46543 I had difficulty with the fry finding dark seams in the glass and avoiding the parents. Inside was a tighter fit and no seams.
@@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto gotcha, thank you for the response.
Thank you
I'm curious as to what happened when you had discus in a tank with substrate. Full disclosure: I recently got discus for the first time after 45 years of fishkeeping. Even knowing that it's not recommended, I have them in an aquascaped, heavily planted tank with an aquasoil substrate. While I've only had them about eight weeks, they're doing great. The tank is very heavily filtered and I'm doing twice a week 50% water changes. There are only six discus (from Discus Hans) in an 110 gallon tank along with dither fish and a cleanup crew.
I was frantically looking for a way to put my fish down today and tho it was hard to do and watch I did it and it worked so thank you
@@remusspencer I am sorry you had to do that. You are very welcome.
I like the way the tank Is aquascaped.
Wow! Daily water changes seem too much.
@@CVo-qj6yx when you first star your tank they are needed!
It's a lot different having a seasoned tank than just a cycled tank
@@jefftucker9225 absolutely!
The fact you can’t put on timer on the light on this is a major design flaw.
@@SupraStringing11b I agree that is something that I did not like
Sorry you lost your fish
Stunning and relaxing
Can they live with shrimps?
@@Qwertz97 I personally have never kept shrimp. I recommend you do more research on that before making a decision. Rummy nose Tetra are a medium to large Tetra so I would think they could pose some risk to shrimp. Again do your research.
@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto thanks
You are a legend in the Discus Game
Thank you! I was worried that they were working too hard. I had three, now there are mysteriously SIX 😂. I enjoy them all.
@ they are very good at disappearing and then suddenly reappearing with babies. That can happen even in a very active community tank. Enjoy! 😉
🤔This was the perfect learning video. I have never had anything but Angelfish or Discus since 20 years ago. This makes me want to put another tank together. Thanks.
Great video George. Thank you!
Fantastic video. I really like this setup and how you went through the whole thing with information that was helpful in setting up my own tank. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have finally come to terms with the fact that one of my oldest Pygmy Cory females is not going to get better. She has a slow strain of columnaris and her mouth is deteriorating. She’s been in a separate tank and none of the meds suggested for columnaris have worked (or a broad spectrum antibiotic/antifungal med) 😢. I saw her continuing to go up to the surface for air struggling this morning because the white patch is now on her gills, I won’t let her suffer any longer. I have clove oil on hand and will unfortunately have to euthanize her because it’s been going on for over 1 month (it’s a very slow progression). This video really helped, thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s always so painful..
@@AudreyCooper-n4k I am so sorry to hear about your Female Pygmy. It is almost inevitable when they can’t eat. What Medications did you use?
Turn off the blue light tho.
Thanks!
@@MBBTigger1357 Thank you Marty.
Very detailed on everthing going on inside of that aquarium. Very thorough. Thank you for taking time to put together this video.
@@MBBTigger1357 Thank you for watching. Thank you for the thoughtful and generous gesture earlier.
Thanks George for another short relaxing video.
@@MBBTigger1357 I hope it was also informative. I am trying to keep this channel a float financially. I would never ask my viewers for money, but if I don’t get more super chats or Thanks on this channel I will have to cut back. I am right on the edge of making this channel more popular. I need two things to happen. I need to reach 10,000 subscribers and have several people each month help me by giving gifts or small amounts of money that will keep me from having to cut back. I know it is all about content etc. I think my tanks are beautiful and informative, but the algorithm must also be in place. I am working hard at it. Thank you for your support now and in the past.
Check out my last full video on this channel and give me your opinion? I value that a great deal!
Nice!
A very insightful Video. Great content. Happy New Year.

My canister wont fill up
@@DavidSmokey-cz3eq what brand and model is it?
@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto betta 700
@ I am not familiar with that model. Did you clean the tubing? Sometimes the tubes narrow from build up and can’t pull water.
@aquaticconceptsbringingwaterto it's only a new one it's my 1st clean. It's very similar to the one you're working with only it's black and blue
@ did you fill the canister with tank water?
Beautiful tank! I have a 75 gallon too. How many discus do you have in yours?
@@shaynacatherine8286 5-7 typically. That is a really good balance.
Great advice. Has someone pointed out, the 30% water change every couple days seems excessive. BUT to avoid water changes, you really need to set up an environment, with a good biological substrate natural filter, I suggest a few inches of gravel or sand. And you will have to have plenty of plants and bottom feeders. If you're going for the artistic minimal look with a glass floor, or if you are a beginner and don't set up the environment properly, of course you're going to have to do a lot of water changes.
@@CreativeChallenge2025 I don’t use bare bottom tanks much anymore. As you can see, this is an older video. I have gone to just a light sand dusting on the bottom, about an inch or so and that seems to do really well in my discus tanks. I agree the bare bottom is really just a little bit more difficult in the long run. Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Is there a link for the light?
@@samanthameyers2768 look in the comments. I believe I posted it there.
Hmm, I am not seeing it anywhere. I’ll do some web searching for it.
