I mentioned American trucks having the roof rack. I just checked and they offer one bar for the roof rack? That is weird so just go to rhino rack. The roof parts I used were:
    2500 Fitting kit: DK427

    2500 Leg (x4): RLKVA

    Vortes Bar (Black 59"): VA150B

Wind Faring-1270mm/50": RF4: (not sure if you need it)

For the back tonneau with the rails I used:
    Quick Mount Leg (x4):

    Vortex Bar (black 71"): VA18B

The t slot m6 nuts that came with my rhino rack vortex bars are too wide. Did you have to trim yours or use something different?

From what I remember yes I grinded them down to fit.

Do you know if the Yakima Overhaul towers will fit on the Explorer Rails? They are a little different than the UltraGroove rails.

I am not positive but to me it doesnt look like it would work. They look like they hook on to the rail for mounting instead of fitting in a track. Thqt being said i have nevwr seen them in person.

@@RideTheEarthnow Thanks for replying so quickly. Yakima makes an adapter kit that replaces the bed rail J hooks with a T-slot rail bolt system. But Yakima says it only fits the Retrax cover rails and the UltraGroove rails. There's a lot of rumors that they work with the Explorer Rails but no one can find a confirmed fit case. Just thought I'd ask, hoping maybe you'd heard of someone who had done it. Thanks for your help.

@@jfstarr ahh got ya. Yeah sorry i cant confirm. I will say alot of the track systems are pretty much the same. I've had rhino, and yakima. Good luck with your research.

Nice video. Which racks would you have to buy to be compatible with the explorer rails?

I have rhino rack, but I know Yakima makes landing pads that would work as well. Just need a landing pad that mounts to a track system. Sometimes you have to grind down the little metal plates so they will fit in the track, can't remember if I had to do that with these. Here is what I have. Check this out! a.co/d/5cGYYvv

You slide those flat nuts into the explorer rail and adjust as needed.

If you have it half open will it close by accelerating or do you have to pull on that strap to unlock it to close?

It locks in at different points so you can drive around with it at multiple levels of open/closed.

How well does it keep water out of the bed?

Very well! I didn't notice any water in the bed at all.

Just ordered the same bed cover. Racking my brain on the bars. I need my set up to have shorter bars. At the end of your video you confirmed that those bars can be cut. Don't want the T look on my set up. Good video
