This car is super special. I grew up and my grandfather had a 72 AMX and he sold it before he passed away without telling anyone. To see this exact car get so much love and attention is trully amazing. Thank you Ring Brothers for bringing this amazing car to the masses with so much love put into it.

I learned more about the details of the car from Leno, mostly because the Ring Brothers were there, but ya a Leno burnout would have been appreciated!

I come back to this video 3 years later and This AMC Javelin still is my all time favorite Ring Brothers resto mod. I Had a 70 AMX Dad had a 74 Javelin and these cars were built in kenosha, WI...right in my back yard. one of the Best looking muscle car that you wont see on the road. This one by far with all its got going on looks phenomenal. Kudos to the owner!!!! Id be proud to own this car and would pass it on to my kids afterwards and put a stipulation in my will they couldn't sell it and would have to pass it on to their kids.

I watched Jay Leno drive this and was kinda let down, but then these guys get their hands on it with no supervision and let rip, now I'm happy. Also, those HRE S2 series S204 wheels are $2.8k a piece before finish options. Oh my fucking lord, that's more than Teague's car. That's almost twice the supercharger kit I want to put on my car.

Love it! In the process of restoring my ‘68 javelin sst my father got it for a dollar from a wrecking yard it had went through a flood in Oregon bout 30 years ago he restored it then it has sat in his shop for the last 20 years. Can’t wait to bring it back to life once again.

My dad about shit himself when I sent him this. He had an amx when I was a kid, and we always thought his fastback looked huge next to it. This is probably the coolest example of a javelin EVER. The body lines are immaculate, thats ridiculous for the amount of lengthening done to this car. Great episode, thanks for connecting the dots and getting it to the garage larry!

I'm a huge fan of the Ring brothers. Every car they build is outstanding, exceptional, and just outright crazy. Just as beautiful under the hood, and under the car, as it is inside and outside. They give their customers what they want and so much more. They have achieved something I did not know was attainable.

Amc didnt make a javalin AMX it was just called AMC AMX they dropped the Javelin name from the more performance model. Still a bad ass car none the less. Also this is the exact car the deviant is modeled after in GTA. online.

68-70 AMX was it's own car. They shortened the Javelin wheelbase to make it a 2 seater. 71 up it was a trim level. I saw this car at SEMA in 2018 and was 100% a show stopper. Loved it!
Zach is right, it is a BMW color. They called it Jalop Yellow because Jalopnik said it's the ugliest color you can get.

2:04 taken from the Ring brothers themselves yes the color is the Austin Yellow from BMW. Reason being why its JalopGold is because Jalopnic voted it as the ugliest color they’ve seen on a car. So naturally they used it.

So first off this is a AMC javelin, then there is the AMC AMX, 2 different cars from AMC. The Javelin had 4 seats. The AMX was a 2 seater, and was rumored to be AMC's answer to the corvette. AMC had been making muscle cars since the mid 60', like AMC rambler S/C and the Rebel.
