As of 2022, if you are ceiling mounting, the flat bracket shown in the video that goes against the ceiling that the track goes in, doesn’t exist. It’s been replaced with a washer

@@vishnupanayara do you mean a raw plug? If so, I wouldn’t recommend without one. They are simple to install, don’t risk without one especially when the screw is pointing down and the track and curtains will be heavy

Fantastically effective if moving your curtains quickly is important. I installed 3 of these (5 rails total) in the past few days and it works great

*HELP* Which type screw do you use to put first fixture on the ceiling?
The kit is incomplete it has nothing to fix the rail to the wood it is going to attach to, first time i have found an incomplete kit, shame, also no curtain holders to put my hooks into

So i bought the tracks... The hardware that comes w it is missing the ceiling piece ... What do u call that. Been looking in the ikea web and cant find it.

Anyone know if additional vidga runner/hooks can be added after the rail has been put up or does it need to be unscrewed/undone and then added?
This is extremely hard to line up two tracks together. Why don't you sell the parts separately that come with the railing? I had to buy a railing just for those parts!

How do you hide the track from view by raising the curtain in a way that obscures the track and makes the curtain appear flush against the ceiling? Thank you.
That's a mission impossible my friend.
Of course it's possible. Just google for vidga ceiling and look at the images. Not sure what's it's called in English but there W shaped metal hooks you can hang your curtains in, and if you do it right it'll hide the track

Ужасное крепление профиля к кронштейн. Защелка, которая их скрепляет, никак не поворачивается после соединения. Сломал 2 штуки. Или конструктивный просчёт или на производстве брак. Изматерился сегодня, вешая карниз. Причём 2 штуки удалось повернуть и закрепить и две ни в какую. Теперь покупать целый карниз из-за этих крепёжных деталей?

Can you bend the Vidga tracks to go over a bay window?
I did try that by applying a blow torch but gave up on it. I carefully marked my angles on the ceiling then marked and cut the bends to get the correct angle. It was a bit of a pfaff fileing the edges and making sure the openings were good for the runners as when you cut it may narrow tthe openings but we're happy with it.
They have curved track. You can take a look at that.
How do you fit the curves? Our's came with rounded curves but no unions (well, seemingly anyway...)
How are you putting the hooks in we tried a few ways still hangs messy?

I haven't bought IKEA stuff in over10 years....and now I remember why. Half the "hardware" is missing from each bag (I bought two) and this is the crappiest quality product I have ever seen.

Folks im a competent DIY'er and hv fitted many curtain poles.
My advice - stay away from these. They are rubbish. If you need the corner piece - forget about it. Total waste of your time and money. Ask ikea why they don't supply the plastic piece that link the poles (and most susceptible to breaking). These are weak and many have rsorted to 3d printing for a replacement. Absolute rubbish
agree. We have the system and the panels never slide as they are supposed to. We are so annoyed

this video shows the standards of IKEA clearly. no valid information, but a lot of useless marketing. don't even mention, the product itself is a failure as the heavy curtains (their heavy ones, not another producer...) can't be installed without having the rack bending in a couple of weeks. I don't buy anything from this company for more than a decade - when I realized other than extremely poor quality products, not really functioning design they are also taking out all the profits from Europe through Luxembourg - meaning robbing every citizen in Europe not paying the tax -, I decided to avoid them in the future. Now I inherited a pair of heavy curtains. Thought better to use than waste it, so I needed a rail for it. definitely the very last shopping (I had to make 2 rounds as the super kind sales woman in the shop resentfully stated it's not a hardware store, so for 2 screws I have to visit another huge store..., CS is zero, taking care of our Planet is minus1000 points...) and will more likely to waste things than waste more money, time and effort to deal with them.
the most disappointing for me that this company could be THE change - and as far as I get to know it's establishing history it was -, but profit overwrites everything even though we can't and won't be able to eat or sleep on 100€/$ bills...
