A case the two had a rough argument asking for a break and within a day she's bin longing for a conversation and criticises for not reaching out.

This is so spot on 💯 I once heard that statement last year. I already saw it coming. Instead of the usual chasing, begging and sending paragraphs, I said nothing. I chose to move on and worked on myself. Things started to improve for me. Later on I met someone new whom I'm still with right now. When my ex found out that I met someone else, that hit a nerve. My wife who we've been together for 16 years,last month I noticed shes been acting a bit different, she told me she's going to her friend's house with my car which is fine, I felt something was off so I checked my dashcam and I heard a conversation with her and a guy and it sounded like she's cheating on me or about to , then I confront her and she tells me the conversation I heard was over coffee , that she would always cancel with him because she knew I'd be upset. Anyway, she lied to me and she met a front that she knew when she was younger, it was another man but she claims they are friends. She would go to his house a few times after she lied to me about it but she knows I don't like it and she says his girlfriend is there. We argue about this friend alot but she swears up and down that they are just friend s. Then today she tells me she wants a break from our relationship and it caught me off guard , she wants time alone. I didn't take it well. Then this evening she tells me to forget about what she said earlier. I'm so confused
I don't believe in breaks! If we need to have a break then it's time to BREAKUP

I remember my ex asking me would she be wrong if she wanted to see other people because she's been thinking about it. I said no not at all. I've been no contact for 9 months and I haven't felt this good in a long time. Don't get me wrong the first 6 months were rough. Today I woke up and my first thought I said to myself was that I'm ready to love again. I'm not going to though. I'm going to wait after the year anniversary to reevaluate how I'm feeling. Her birthday is the 28th and hopefully I don't get any hoovers. I think she tried to hoover me a month ago because I got a text message from a phone number based in California I never saw before. It was the language and phrases that made me feel it was her from a fake number. I ignored it of course.
My opinion is if you love someone you don't need break. You need to talk with your partner about problem/s. Because you are team.
