The easiest way to give a dog pills is to give them a few treats by throwing it into their mouth (they are more likely to snap at it to catch it) and throw in the pill randomly. Works like a charm and they never know. :)

I feel like dogs that learn lots of tricks over the course of there whole life seem to live longer. Maybe because bit keeps them more alert and happy? Not to mention it works them physically. Anyone else notice anything like that? I mean, obviously breeding and nutrition play a HUGE role, but older dogs like this one just seam so much younger than other dogs the same age/breed when they learn new things all the time.

She's so cute, proof that an old dog can learn new tricks! I taught my dog to "Stick 'em Up" with the cue that is used for Sunny's "Bang Bang." Definitely a crowd-pleaser!

Sunny is gorgeous 💖 💖 💖 💖 grew up with a golden, she was awesome! I'm having a ball teaching Valentine tricks and taking her on the bus into town a couple of times a week we've progressed from just, bus station, other bus, vet and repeat back. Then I got off the bus at the bottom of town and walked up the main street. We now get off the bus though the station and mall, up and down the street back to the bus station, get the bus to pets at home. Then walk over to Asda, walmart, and get the bus home. I'm finding that, time in the garden and around the house with her ball and teaching her tricks is plenty exercise for her and the breaks in between means if she does react at a dog or a person, it's giving her time for her cortisol levels to lower. Just loving it and had to share. Big thank you to you Zak, you've been a huge help 😊😊😊😊

My parents super smart 11year old sheltie learned "spin" just by watching my dog do it. I wanted to show my parents how good my dog was doing and suddenly he walks over looks me right in the eye and spins 🤣🤣

Within the next few moths I'll be getting a puppy for the first time as an adult (it's been almost ten years since my family had a dog at all and we never went through training with them) and watching your videos has really helped me feel more prepared for down the line with my pup! It especially helped solidify my stance that I don't want to work with any OB trainers that use anything but positive reinforcement and follow philosophies similar to yours. It has really helped me to know what I'm looking for in trainers for the future - the breeder requires at least two OB classes. I really recommend people watch your video about knowing when to fire a trainer/finding a good one in the first place.

People People wish I could get my dog to fetch. All he'll do is catch it then drop it immediately. We got him one of those pet's R Us treat dispensers where you drop the ball in and treats come out.... Yeah he doesn't play with it. We show him and show him but he wants nothing to do with it. Lol so cudos to you for getting your dog to fetch that's no easy feat.
Chipz thanks. He does fetch rope but not balls, we're still working with him on that... He literally shows no interest. We've got this ball that we fill with peanut butter, he seems to be doing well with that one (with peanut butter) .... So maybe he'll learn to like the tennis balls. May have to try the rope with ball to see if he takes to that. Thank you for your suggestion 👍

Been trying to teach my super smart and well behaved minigoldendoodle new things. Train him five minutes a day which helps so much with obedience. He’s my service dog- incredibly well behaved and great connection with me. The problem is in finding tasks he wants to learn and will learn. He won’t do roll over, guess I’m not doing it right. I taught him spin - he runs to the couch. Where do I find things not too easy and not too hard. He’s 3. Thanks. I used your videos to train him from 8 weeks on.

Just got our 8 week old GSD pup Behr (22 lbs!) on Saturday. Didn't go home right away as the drive was very long . Brought his crate and only had a short time to crate train him. Luckily, I "Zak" crate trained him and after only being with us for approximately 4 hours he slept in his crate with the door shut, no crying, for 5 hrs. He whined to go outside, did his business right away, went back into his crate and 3 hrs. later let us know again. I know it hasn't been a long time but I do have to brag a little. We are home now and he actually goes to the door on his own to let me know he needs to go out. I have a feeling I'm going to be a very lucky dog Mama with this pooch and thanks to your videos Zak he's going to be perfect. Keep up the good work!

We bought him from a breeder in Timmins, Ontario Canada. We live about 6 to 7 hours south of her so it was a bit of a drive but she has always had excellent pups. Her name is Trina Johnston and her web page is Boom Lakes Shepherds.

Oh my God! I love dis video, this woman and her dog! How well trained. I have a 3 month old pit/lab whom I'm training and because of your videos I have taught him a few tricks already. He is house broken already, & I exercise Him daily which has helped out with the biting. Zack, you're the man when it comes to training dogs. How to train the Bang Bang? 😂😂 Please make a video of it
Jahn Chloe Garcia depends whether you want your dog to "die" standing up or sitting pretty. basically from standing position/sit pretty position, lure your dog into a down. Once your dog has the hang of that, raise the criteria and lure your dog into a down and onto its side. then once he got that down, add the verbal cue. Say Bang! and lure him into the dead position. Keep repeating and after a while you would be able to just do the hand signal (mine is a finger gun) and say bang and your dog should do the trick. Keep repeating. Also be patient. It might take your dog a few days maybe weeks to master the trick. Hope this helped 😊

Riyaz Shaik don't put the treat over the head more than 3 inches *takes out ruler* no but airiously... check out my "Eevee Entertainment, how to train your dog.
Riyaz Shaik umm just wait until your dog sits just position your hand (with a treat)high up that your dog can't reach the treat
but don't forget to let the dog sniff the treat so that your dog knows that you have a treat.
if that doesn't work position your hand (with a treat) at the top of your dogs nose so that your dog doesn't need to jump and let your dog look up.
(and also be patient when training your dog)
and I also have a dog that when I try to train her to sit she will jump.😃😉😃

Oscar Ortega try different things on alternate days.....one day give him toys inside.....one day dont lock him up and let him choose where he wants to sleep......one day make him play to tired......one day move his cratle nearby your bed so that it can see u......hope any may help. My advice is don't lock him up, let him be inside your room and lock your room, when u sleep and seeing this for days together he will learn. its not an overnight process though

For anything that's not time-release, I just grind it into powder and mix it into a spoonful of jelly/jam. Works like a charm. Pill pockets I use for stuff that's extended release so you don't want it broken down before it hits the stomach.

One of the dog videos I saw to help with bow was to throw the treat infont of them as soon as they bow preventing the back legs from ever going down. It was really helpful and my dog learned in about a day or 2
this was so cute
After a few videos I learned how to train my 8 week old cockapoo to do many different tricks etc. I was worrying about training because it was the first dog I had ever had.
But after the first day he knew how to sit. After the first week he learned how to eat on command, lie down, roll over and shake my hand. After a bit longer I had toilet trained him fully.
I've not had any problems other than play biting but that's no big deal because I'm sure you've got a video for that!

Hi Zack. I taught a 10 year old German Pinscher all basic commands and then some tricks after as when we adopted him at age 10 he did not know any commands.

Andrea Syvertsen Hove well um if that’s what ur vet recommended then go with that. Alternatives aren’t always the best and ur vet will have more knowledge then a regular dog owner
