Should also be the theme when Bill Gates finally releases the Mark of the Beast vaccines. The pyramid/triangle of NWO is complete.

If you ask me, Babymetal are the best thing that happened to Metal in the last years. Lots of people are getting introduced to Metal, while old metalheads like myself get rejuvenated and appreciate the music again. This song is special, it is their love letter to their fans, and the final part of a two song epic. Thanks for reacting!

I don't think I've ever seen _The One_ as anyone's first BabyMetal reaction before. Well, it's the fan anthem/love letter to the fans, so that's an interesting place to start. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Welcome to The One. :)

Popular for a metal band in the US, UK, and Japan. Top 10 Billboard world album this year even though they didn't come out with a new album.

This is an epic anthemic show closer, dedicated to the fan base. It is the only slow BABYMETAL song and probably it's least metal. Check out Road of Resistance, Karate, or Gimme Chocolate to move into the middle of the BABYMETAL spectrum. Each song is unique and covers different metal subgenres and different musical mashups. Plus they usually dance, something you don't see much in metal.

Nice that you like the song. I discovered them and became a huge fan this year. You actually picked their softest song. Every other track is heavy.

Yeah, they are extremely popular in Japan and they have toured in the U.S. with many different bands. They started out at ages 11,11 and 12 until present day. They mix what is called J-pop with metal and add techno into their songs as well. Very diverse.

To clarify, that's when BabyMetal started, and Yui and Moa were still fairly new to the biz, but Su had already been gracing stages with her presence for a while. I'm surprised that Su wasn't born onstage and handed a microphone. :)

  • @Mick.Fitzmaurice
    @Mick.Fitzmaurice 7 ปีที่แล้ว +30

Yeah, they're singing in mostly Japanese. They do have a full English version of this song. It's really good. This is probably my favorite Babymetal song. Because of the maturity. They get shit on a lot by the metal community. Mostly elitists. Even though they have toured with Slayer and performed with Rob Halford. I enjoy their energy, and stage presence. They command the stage and the audience like none other. And their backing music, the "Kami" band are talented as hell. You should check out some of their heavier stuff. Road Of Resistance or Karate.

And all during the same show! they go back and forth from 3 to Su-Metal solos to Moa/Yui (MoiMoi we call the pair!) and back to all 3 again. This gives everybody a little break to rest due to the amount of energy they expend during the show. Versatile little buggers aren't they? Every form of metal used in their songs and sometimes several forms in one. From hard grind to surf punk, to power metal all in the same tune. Dude, I've bangin' near 40 years and these kids are a breath of fresh air! Live shows are freakin awesome as you saw in The One. The fans are highly motivated and dedicated.

Damn what a way to start off the year lol. This is a huge loss for Babymetal. I mean they still have Takayoshi who plays in Marty Friedman's band but this is a devastating loss.
Watching Fujioka play for me was a religious experience. He was very respected in Japan. Not two mention authored several books on guitar.
He was a featured instructor at my music College I attended back in the day as well. A few years back I got to attend a jam session.
Which was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Check out ESP Guitars: ESP Snapper-7 Fujioka Custom demonstration. The guy could play & it such a tragic loss. R.I.P. Fujioka. 😢 🔥🎸🔥

Metal came with varieties influenced by cultures eg. Folkmetal, symphonic metal, classic metal, rock n roll..etc. You name it metal got it. And Japan introduced Kawaii Metal via Baby Metal needs no exception. Just embrace the Kawai Metal with an open heart because Metal is for all afterall..

Some random facts about Babymetal to give you some ideas of how Babymetal has been doing: they started in 2010. They got some fame in Japan, but some of their MVs got posted on metal news websites and they kind of went viral in the west. They did, 3 world tours before the girls were adults, the second album broke records in the US and UK. In the US it was the highest charting Japanese album in over 50 years at #38 and in the UK highest ever at #15 and in Australia it was #7. Yes, their 'gimmick', for lack of a better word ?, is little Japanese girls/young women and metal, but one of their other interesting things about them is that the songs are from different metal sub-genres. So they have very diverse songs and they have the best metal musicians from Japan they could find that can play all that live. In the UK they had their first arena show outside of Japan, at Wembley Arena (the first Japanese band to play there/such a large venue in Japan) the day after the album release. This year they didn't do much of their own touring but did a whole bunch of openers for other bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Korn (US) and Metallica (Korea) and Guns N Roses (Japan). And their own shows except for one were in Japan. The show did in the US had their first opener ever (by Japanese child labor laws they were never allowed to play late, so that is one reason to not have an opener). It was non other than Hellyeah, the band of Vinnie Paul of formally Pantera !

I would love it but I don't know they are big enough (they don't have a single no. 1 hit or album in Japan). I suspect you are more likely to see Arashi and AKB48, who have dominated the charts for years - other likely groups are World Order, at least one Vocaloid (the animated pop stars), Ayumi and the top selling Japanese group of all time Bz (over 100 million records sold) - but Babymetal would be great

Babymetal is (are?) the Real Deal! I’m in my 70s and have been around the musical block; I’m from South Carolina, the Deep South of the US, and I remember quite vividly Elvis during the Sun years and Elvis was a punch in the gut ... Link Wray was another one ... and that’s been my criteria through the years: if it hits me in the gut, I’m all in, baby! I remember Elvis’ first appearance on national TV, and it was OMG ... same thing with the Beatles ... I go by my gut. Babymetal destroyed the old paradigm of what metal is (and can be); they are unique, and to my way of thinking, a work of art. Once you fall into the rabbit-hole, it’s all over, dude, you’re hooked.

The One is one of their slower songs. I recommend Road of Resistance Live next. MUCH faster. th-cam.com/video/pT5Sgi_hm4w/w-d-xo.html
The three girls names are Suzuka Nakamoto 19 (Su-Metal, lead singer), Yui Mizuno 18(Yuimetal, scream & dance on the left), and Moa Kikuchi 18 (Moametal, scream & dance on the right).
They are world famous, not just in Japan. They started performing at very young ages (Su was only 5yo). BABYMETAL formed as an idol group originally in 2010 when the girls were 11, 11, and 13. In 2013, the main singer became to old for the idol group and had to "graduate" out of the group. BUT, their manager/creator of the group (Key Kobayashi aka Koba-Metal) saw its' huge potential and decided to turn the group into a real band to keep the original members together forever. That's also the year they gained new members of the band called the Kami Band (God Band). Made up of some of the best musicians in the world (which takes there live shows into the realm of legend).
BABYMETAL became really popular, and by the end of 2014 were a worldwide phenomenon. Their popularity is still growing and shows no sign of stopping. Multiple world tours and have sold out arenas (even played live on US national television on the Colbert Late Show in 2016). We're all waiting to see what comes next in 2018 and the HYPE is real.
They've toured all over the world, have won countless music awards all over the world (Metal Hammer Magazine even named their debut self-titled album "Best Metal Album of the 21st Century"), and have opened for The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady GaGa, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Korn, Stone Sour, and have shared the stage with Rob Halford of Judas Priest, and Dragonforce. All have signed off and credited BABYMETAL as being a legit/talented band.

With all the other comments you obviously will see they have a big fan base and lots of songs. This song is more of a ballad and is dedicated to the fans. Babymetal is backed by a big label so many of their shows (especially in Japan) have a massive stage production. The music can range from sort of urban (Onedari Daisuke) to dance/ddr (Iine) to pop (too many to mention) to just plain fun (Gimme Chocolate, Catch Me If You Can) to beautiful ballad (No Rain, No Rainbow) to stirring songs (Rondo of Nightmare, Karate). Fans will not like that I left out songs like Megitsune and a bunch more. But that's exactly what makes Babymetal so awesome, every song appeals to different people strongly because every song is different and new. This is a new thing, the fusion of metal and dance and multiple genres. It's rather brilliant.

Sad news today ,,,Babymetal Guitarist Mikio Fujioka has passed away.
According to Fujioka’s wife, the musician fell from an observation deck on December 30 and later passed away on January 5.

Dude, you spoke so little, but your face said everything. I think that I had the same facial expressions as I first watched a BabyMetal video. At around 5:00 the smile that came upon your face as you realized you liked what you were hearing... priceless. I knew, seeing the guitars on the wall behind you that you were gonna enjoy "The One."
As so many have already said, please react to "Road of Resistance" next. Bad ass... This link never gets flagged for copyright by Amuse, so you can freely react to it. Best part- this is what they sound like live at a festival. Prepare to be amazed...

Hello, I am a large big fan of BABYMETAL, of course. You seem to like it. When I listen to "THE ONE" why I am seeing an onion ninja. This MV is a state at the Yokohama Arena in Japan in 2015. LIVE is wonderful anywhere in BABYMETAL anytime. I won the 2017 World BEST LIVE BAND Award. I hope the Blu - ray of "Baptismal Rite REGEND - s -" that was held on December 2 and 3, 2017, will be released soon. I went to see on the 2nd. BABYMETAL has a long history unexpectedly. Last year, SU 20 years old, Yui-chan and MOA-chan 18 years old and young, so it's surprising. LIVE images are out many around 2013, so please watch the images of the past.

    They're becoming better known.
There are mainstream Idol groups like Momoiro Clover Z that are ridiculously popular in Japan.
They are not at that level yet, but the same is true of most flavors of metal in the USA compared to pop acts.
BABYMETAL did sellout Tokyo Dome in September 2016 two nights in a row with 55,000 people per night.
2017 has been a little slow as the two youngest members are still in school, graduating at the end of March 2018.

Glad to see you finally got a BABYMETAL video up on your channel. This is normally one of their closing songs at a concert which is also why it's much slower. The One is also the name of their fan club.
...did you hopefully manage to read my wall of text in the comment I posted on the MtH video? Sorry about the lack of links in that one. Just didn't feel like hunting the stuff down at the time. Here's a link of all the songs I suggest in the my wall of text comment:

Everytime I see this video I think it's a pity they don't used the original live audio but the studio recording instead.
They are big in the metal sector in Japan. But that's even more like a niche there, than in Europe or America. But you have to know, they drew the biggest audience at the biggest festival Japan had this year (#SummerSonic). They outclassed even the Foo Fighters. And most shocking for the most people who don't know them already: They are in bussiness since 2010!
Let me give you a suggenstion for your next BNABYMETAL reactions. They are best experienced live, so a live performance would be fitting. So maybe you react to "Ijime, Dame Zettai" live at Sonisphere 2014 (th-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/w-d-xo.html). This was their international breakthrough.
But they have also a few good produced music videos. You could react to "Megitsune" (th-cam.com/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/w-d-xo.html).

Are they a big band? ummm...when any musician is suspended in a neon triangle for the duration of the song, they're a big band.

This song is not a good one to check what Babymetal is about. You should check songs like Gimme Chocolate, Karate or Road of Resistance.
