Not sure if you monitor your account still but just wanted to say thank you! After multiple replacement resistors and repair wiring loom fails I bit the bullet and copied this idea.
I actually did as you suggested and took out the pins from the connector and soldered them directly onto the tabs on the resistor. Ive only just done it and tested (everything working as it should) but so far no heat at the connections or wires like I used to get. Hope this lasts longer than previous attempts!
Great to see this account active and posting videos again. You are a smart man. Keep posting
Thanks very much chief.
Jaysus man, Ain’t seen you in a long time. I hope you and the family are keeping well! Its Dicey and Rene’s son btw.
Good to hear from you. I hope you are all well. I still see your old man out and about. All the best
Any chance anyway to reach you in person for further details on the equipment you used and the detailed instructions from the above to fix the problem, as I encountered the same issue after replacing the new connector and resistor.
How long did the new resistor last?
@@KkKk-px2le less than a month with the new resistor, that's why I reckon this method last longer
No way 😭 I'm putting one in soon but have no clue how to do it. My wire is stripped near end the brown one
@@KkKk-px2le well u can try but once you turn the heat to the highest it will melt the connector again
Literally just need it for the bs steam build up otherwise the car doesn't really feel cold due the old cloth material interior
Where can you get these wires?
What connector block do we need?
