    For those wondering why players like Zach Baun weren’t mentioned, I will explain below.
    For simplicity sake, I used a CBS sports article which listed the most “notable” meaning top 8-10 paid per position. Which means some guys didn’t get mentioned that overperformed. I didn’t want to have to list and analyze every single signing so I tried to keep it simple.
    Due to this, some impact signings weren’t mentioned.

When CD3 went down and he needed to take on a bigger role i was concerned. And he was really flukey, again as expected imo. Great against Jettas, but got burned by the Commanders. Marino tore his Achilles on a non-contact play and was never the same. He just couldn’t push off like he used to and so he lost ball speed and accuracy because of it. If you watch that final game, against the Jags, he was picked multiple times and in reality he had declined much earlier than that. Dan was easily a Top-5 passer all time though - until that injury.

    I'ld argue Blake Cashman met expectations, sure he probably didn't meet the stats to be a PFF meet expectations kinda guy, but if you look at Flore's schemes, he fits in perfectly with what that defense needed. In the first set of losses to Detroit and LA, those were the only games he didn't play.

    If I’ve said it before I’ll say it a million times: the giants would not be any better off if we kept saquon. Everyone’s saying “the giants made a mistake, the giants are stupid” yea paying Daniel jones was crazy stupid but bringing back saquon would have maybe helped us win one or two more games at the most. We were terrible with him and we’re still terrible without him. We found good value with Tyrone Tracy as well. I’d rather see saquon ball out and be competitive on a rival team than keeping him on this depressing giants team so that we can just go 5-12 instead of 3-14

    The contract for Russ was strategic on the Steelers part, not a stupid one. The Broncos are(now were) paying Russ about 36 mil I think due to dead cap from getting rid of Russ, so basically, the broncos are still paying for him and the Steelers are paying for him. There’s an mmg video that explains it better than me, but that’s from what I remember

    15:09 Anyone saying that runningbacks are obsolete and not valuable is not smart (and then some, but yt doesn't like mean words). Count the number of 3 and outs QBs have every game. It's usually at least 5. Good runningbacks turn those into field goals or better. The yards per carry stat ALONE turns teams competitive, and it keeps rising since 2020. It used to be around 3 yards per carry was normal, now you can see 3.7 to 5.

    • @jonathanhay3212
      @jonathanhay3212 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Its because passing is so much more valuable. Every single team has a higher yards per pass attempt than Henry does yards per carry. Not yards per reception, yards per attempt. So even including the incompletes, passing generates more yards per attempt on every team, than Henry gets per carry.
      If anything, good running is most valuable because it makes your passing better by forcing the defense to be honest.

    • @pacificbanana6179
      @pacificbanana6179 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@jonathanhay3212passing is NOT more valuable. Passing touchdowns and rushing touchdowns are worth the same points, yards are worth the same. As long as you set up backs for success, it’s worth doing.

    • @yeetusdeletus5714
      @yeetusdeletus5714 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@pacificbanana6179passing has just been made way easier and for effective across the board over the last decade and a half. We are going back towards rush first offenses recently since teams largely over corrected when passing became more prominent, but for now running backs are largely relegated to being undervalued. A great rb like saquon or king henry can obviously and definitely elevate a great team into an elite team or a good team into a great team, but the floor they provide for a bad team is largely negligible which leads them to be undervalued compared to other positions that have secured value to a team

  • @bryanjones4444
    @bryanjones4444 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The Cousins signing was a big mistake but not because of Kirk's play. He actually had a high quality year. Kirk played against the toughest schedule of defenses of any quarterback in the league. Against those 6 elite defenses his completion percentage and yards per attempt were about 30% above the league average against those teams. That includes his only two bad games Pittsburgh and the Broncos. There was a lack of touchdowns and too many interceptions but many of the interceptions were not on Kirk and a quarterback is not going to throw many touchdowns when they don't allow him to throw in the red zone, or on first down, or second and medium or any other down where it was not an obvious passing situation.
    When they took the handcuffs off he destroyed the Bucs twice and led three 4th quarter comebacks, which have always been his specialty. His other specialty is going through his progressions. In 2022 he set a record by completing at least 60 passes to 4 different receivers. In 2023 when he was injured he was on a pace to absolutely obliterate that record. In 2024, when he was benched, he was on a pace to break the record again. He was also the only quarterback in the league on a pace to have two 1,000 yard receivers. He was not only completing lots of passes but racking up lots of yards. In fact he was running third in the league in yards. All of that in a run first and only run in the red zone offense.
    Cousins will find a new home next year and return to his 2023 MVP form. There are plenty of teams out there that know how to use hs immense talents.

    Saying Burns during his career has been "good not great" is absurd. He's a 2 time Pro Bowler who's been consistently the best player on some trash Panthers teams. He's been arguably the Giants' best player this season. It's unreasonable to expect Burns to play like Superman when the only dudes that do that are the guys getting paid more than him.
