- In this episode of Fail Proof Kitchen, Pro Chef Robbie Jester and 1st Phorm Athlete Jenna Fail make a classic and cozy tomato soup recipe that is perfect for these winter months! Level up your tomato soup game with this delicious recipe all made from scratch!
Tomato Soup Recipe:
-4 large Tomatoes
-1 large onion
-1 orange bell pepper
-Salt & pepper
-8 garlic cloves
-Olive oil
-1.5-2 cups Chicken broth
-1/4 cup Heavy cream
Chop all of your vegetables minus garlic (big chops are fine!) keep your garlic whole. Toss everything in a light coat of olive oil and roast in a 425° oven for 45 minutes or until everything is tender and lightly charred. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes then place in a blender (you may have to do this in batches based on your blender size) when the roasted vegetables are in the blender, add chicken broth (1 cup at a time) and blend until smooth. Transfer to a Dutch oven, add your heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
