Great video Peter. Lots of good info about both rifles. I am looking forward to the videos of you shooting the 16gn Zan slugs. Cheers from the desert SW USA!
At about 8:20 you mention installing a "Barrel Change Assistant" I can find no information about that. What is it? Can you supply a link to it if possible?
It is a grip from Eagle Vision. You can check it out on their webpage. I have medium sized hands and I dont get in trouble with the bottle. I like it better than the vertical standard grip, but I guess its a matter of taste 🙂
Its like a real high end ikea airgun, you put it all together yourself. I’m still not sure if I’ll go for the Daystate Alpha Wolf or the fx impact M3. I still hear inconsistent quality from the FX guns, like the regulator as u mentioned. Good video btw, I’m subscribed!
IKEA airgun - love that discription 😃 That or LEGO airgun 🤗😂 Getting a new gun and having to service it straight away is a bit of a bummer, but having shot Impact for 4 years now it is remarkable how few times I have had to service broken o-rings, and with good instructions from TH-cam it is very simple to do 🙂
Hey Peter have you ever considered coming to the US for RMAC? I’m sure you would win the 100 yard bench rest. 1st place is $20,000 dollars and I’m sure everyone would already know you, it would be like you’ve known them for years and you’d have a great time.
Im sure it would be quite an experience 😃 I would have to get into 22 at least - dont think my 177 shooting pellets would do well 😃 But thank you buddy 👍👍👍
Hi Peter a little off subject but you mentioned in a previous video thatcyou shoot JSB 13.43 pellets in your M3 could you advise at what speed did yoy find the best accuracy
@@davidjohnson5369 That must be the case 😃 They usually perform well between 960 and 980 fps. But I also had them doing well at 1020 fps. Did prefer 970 though.
Very good video I just bought the 700mm Panthera, added the front bottle and love it. I wish I had known about the drop down bottle adapter and been able to keep my original/stock rail rather than the saber rail I added, but it's ok either way. I will use mine in a wide application, target plinking, little hunting, some friendly competition shooting and maybe some other applications from time to time. Mine is a little on the heavy side for long walk hunts. It's a total different game than what I started with. but for now in a good way. USA. Cheers.
I think you made a nice decision in buying the 700 mm Panthera. And for your applications it will do a great job. I recently tuned a similar gun and installed the high preasure Huma reg and it really surprised me to see the difference. Super accurate and with a nearly non exciting spread in velocity. Actually considering one for mine. Enjoy your gun and thanks for your comment 🙂
My first comment seams to have disappeared, fantastic video Peter very informative as usual. I do like the dynamic block.as you know i got myself a king. But i must admit I to prefer my m3.i just love it. For me it's perfect in a un perfect way I have loved making it my own .and i have loved setting it up to ...
Making a better gun than the M3 is quite a task. And thats if you are FX or any other manufacturer. This only makes me more excited about the M4 when that hopefully emerges. I tested jsb monster in the Panthera with the stx superior liner that I have from the M3 and it did very well, but I have an idea that the King 500mm would be even better. PS Im in the process of making a video that you really wanna watch! Interesting spares for the dynamic block that WILL make you like it even better 😎😛
@VikingAirgunner fantastic Peter. The only thing is when they bring out the m4.i will want it so bad, and like anything worth having it won't be cheap lol
The laws in Denmark requires a hunting licence for anything bigger than 177. Getting the licence is quite a taske and on top of that you a permit for guns of bigger calibers and that takes ages to get. So all in all a big hazzle.
You should have a shed in the forrest like you have at home in the garden. I have been looking at metal garden sheds to put up at my friends place instead of building it all myself in wood, a kit is more easy i think One problem though, to stick the rifles out we would have to make a big cut along one side of the shed, but i think reinforcing what is left this is also quite doable. And we will of course still want to be able to completely close the shed as critters would otherwise make it their home. The other downside is, cost go up a little.
It sounds like a good setup with a metal shed. I have been offered to build a wooden shed at the old forrest range, but placing it at 100 m would limit me to that. Not that I really shoot at the possible 125 m, but it is nice to have the possibility 🙂😎
@@VikingAirgunner Indeed. with our new setup i will be able to reach out to 130 M, which is the 86 M i shoot at today, so place of launch moving back a lot, actually it is outside of the field / fenced in parts. That of course mean shorter ranges will have to move back too, CUZ we will still want to be able to shoot 50 M and even shorter for my pistol shooting friend.
@@peashooter950 I think it is important to appreciate shooting a many different distances. 100m+ will show any mistake, but it is also sensitive to many different factors.
What attracted me to FX was the high shot count I just want to clarify that this is correct before I purchase the gun. The shot count for slugs seems unusually high. I could be wrong. I copied this information from the FX USA website. Maybe somebody made a mistake at FX. If so can you contact FX and inform them about this issue and ask them what the correct shot count is? The FX impact mk3 shot count per fill: Quote from FX: "ft/lbs are maximum fac power output using slug ammunition and a slug power kit." - 22 cal has 330 shots - 25 cal 160 shots - 30 cal has 105 shots." So isn't the FX website saying that you're going to get 330 shots using slugs and the slug power kit? The FX King shot count using FX hybrid slugs according to the FX website at 900 FPS. -126 shots 22 caliber 22 grain FX hybrid slugs - 96 shots 25 caliber 26 green FX hybrid slugs - 56 shots 30 cal using 44 grain FX hybrid slugs Can you clarify this for me?
You are mixing up the info 🙂 The power that fx is refering to is when using the power slug kit. So the maximum power of the gun. The mentioned shot count is the maximum shot count. So I assume that these numbers are based on the gun when using a very light pellet🙂
@@VikingAirgunner Perhaps but that's the impression that FX giving people. I also sent this to Ernest Lowe and he said that he thought the shot count was on the high side. So even to him I don't think it's clear. They really should clarify the information so it's not confusing and misrepresenting what the gun is capable of. Thanks for getting back to me.
Saludos desde Gran Canaria,España. Como siempre genial,es muy agradable y placentero ver tus videos y esta ultima parte desde el sofa muy bueno.🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍
I would love to try the bigger calibers. In quite a few guns the 177 seems to be causing problems. Owning the 177 I cant find the fascination 100% - yet... 😉 I have just finished test/video of the soon to be available pin probe and v2 transfer port from Huma and that is defenately a step in the right direction 😎 Looking for some better weather to go and test it long range 😎😜
Great video mate but not my cup of tea. Way to much overpriced tralala on those rifles and both are useless for hunting or freehand shooting. For me ankrest shooting with PCP's is boring and no challenge because the results i already know. Target shooting with a quality springer is a challenge and need shooting skills. I own a S410 with walnut stock and HW springers. The springers are the last rifles i'll ever sell.
In your opinion, what would make the Panthera or M3 unsuitable for hunting? Surely as long as it's accurate and has the necessary power it should work right?
@@PaddyFromPaddistan Those are bankrest target rifles and not designed for comfortable off hand shooting. A hunting rifle has a full length stock that gives a good hold for accurate shot placement. Shooting with use of a bipod from the hood of a car is not hunting but not more than target shooting on living quarry. Hunting is way more than only shooting animals.
Finally ......a clear objective comparison, thanks !Greetz from Zell in Germany

Hi Peter. What kind of grip do you have on the Panther? And doesn't it make it difficult to hold? your hand doesn't get in the way of the bottle?
