  • Affinity Photo - Beginners Look At Colour Space and Recolouring Black Text and Logos
PC-Mac Version - although relevant to iPad version also.
This tutorial looks at working with what can be called Colour Space or Colour Format or most likely the correct term is Colour Profile.
The tutorial is for beginners, who may be having trouble adding colour to an image they have acquired or some text they have typed. If the image or text is in the wrong colour space it will stop you adding any colour to the image, text or background.
I have also done a quick look at removing a white background from a black image.

This video is very good thank you! Do you have a video that shows you how to change areas instead of the entire image? I am trying to modify one I got from CF, but I don't want to change the entire color of the piece, want to make different areas different colors, not sure if that makes sense. lol

Thanks. I doubt you could change the colour space in areas of an image. But, you can use adjustment layers to get the same sort of effect. Like Colour Popping. Have a colour image turned to black and white and then have a colourful coat or flower still in colour in some part of the image.
