To be honest Paul I'm not surprised you hit 1000, your channel is excellent. I'm sure you're going to see more growth over time. Talking of growth, I think the only fans idea is a good one. A niche market, one man and his plane, A meaningful affair between flesh, metal and fabric. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who'd watch. You'd only need 30 second videos out a time.
Next up 100k! Go Paulie! Let’s get Giles over 10k subs. Hope he’s staying out of trouble down in Gatorville. Glad you thanked Mrs. B, our wives are important.
Nearly six quid is not bad for one day. Awesome job Paul, keep the videos coming. I'd say you are really good at doing variety, show us what a typical microlighter gets up to.
Awesome result 👏 keep the content coming 😀 loved the trip to Weston. As you're not a mechanic more maintenance content please, I've never laughed so much 😂 just sayin! 😊 seriously though, well done mate.
That F@&kin spring still haunts me! I’ll be doing a 100hr rebuild at the end of this year. That should provide hours of swearing and knuckle skin removal to keep you amused. 👍
Great stuff Paul. Excellent job...always enjoy your programmes. With the Nine now, how about more cross country flights? Longer expeditions....all the best, Mike
Huge, huge congratulations fellow flamping buddy. I'm sure your channel will out perform mine as you have a great winning formula. I'll go back to tending to my sunburn 😅
I’m trying to be sympathetic to your sunburn but I’ve got to be honest and say I’m really struggling. Don’t forget to bring some flyable weather back. 👍
Hi Paul, I’ve watched all your videos and Giles’s channel too and it’s rekindled my desire to get back into flying. Started the process of revalidating my lapsed NPPL last year, but weather getting in the way. I think a lot of channels, particularly the road cycling ones I follow keep me coming back by covering firstly, kit reviews, I would love to know more about helmets, sky demon, navigation apps etc. Secondly challenges and adventures. Nothing better than getting inspiration following someone doing something exciting that you aspire to do yourself one day. Good luck with your continuing upward trajectory.
Thanks Mike. I’m always looking for ideas so these comments help massively. Glad to hear your looking at getting back in the air. Better weather is on the way hopefully so that should help. 👍
Congratulations Paul. I do remember those first ones, must be OK because I did click 'Subscribe'. Loved the 'going away' trips - camping or other. How about landing at non-airfields showing what the Sub-70's can do. No Motorbike ones please :-) £5.96 - that's approx 3 3/4 Litres of fuel - not bad :-)
Thanks for the ideas. More trips and camping planned. Some other people have asked for motorbike content so I might mix this with flying content but make it skippable so people who aren’t interested can skip past it. 👍
Well done Paul for passing the 1000 subs threshold and breaking into the monetised side of TH-cam. Mind you, you'd probably have to go topless to really rake in the money, :)
Paul you are great in front of the camera (far better than me) and congrats on the 1.03k subs you have whilst I am writing this, totally deserved. I would personally only be interested in flying videos rather than the bike stuff, I'd also like you do a few challenges (safely) like climbing to altitude (how does the flex perform going up hill) or maybe 'how short can you land' (you knew I'd ask for that one. Just keep up the always interesting and well edited videos.
Congrats, that man. Here's to middle aged overweight bald blokes eh?... 😉 You are getting some great polish on your content these days and it makes viewing a pleasure. In terms of content I'd love to see more flamping stuff, mixed in with practical maintenance bits. I appreciate that dedicated maintenance videos probably won't grow views as quickly as other stuff, so how about blending in specific bits of it (or jobs) during flying videos? The two content types might make for a more 'magazine' style format and keep the variety and interest going? I might be talking boll**** of course but just trying to get your suggestion box filling up. Keep up the cracking work and I hope to see you soon. 👍😁
Thanks Dan. That’s not a bad idea. Maintenance stuff doesn’t get the same number of views as flying content so mixing the two is an interesting idea. 👍
Fantastic, keep up the great work. Motorbike stuff would be of interest too, I first met you at New Farm when you decided to ride down and camp instead of Flamping!
Really enjoyed this one Paul. Only left you an hour ago but can’t get enough. Seriously congrats pal. Love it. I def think you should do a video on how to get qualified as a pilot. Explanation of costs, exams, locations and pros and cons etc. I’ve harassed you with loads of questions a one off video would be great. I hope you’ve not already done one and I’ve missed it. K
@paulieb796 hope to see you @popham if you make it. Aslo end of the year costs would be interesting, hargerage, insurance, landing fees etc. Give us an idea what a Bee is like to live with. Keep up the great content.
Love the channel. Being new to Flexwing (doing my NPPL with Giles) things I’d really like to see are why you chose the kit you chose. Why the BivyBee and the wing choice. Why the helmet and other kit. How do you decide where you’re going to go to and some of the prep needed if you’re landing away. Storage of the Flexwing and insurance is also another thing that’s a bit of a mystery. Motorbikes are always a good subject to cover off as well. Keep up the good work. Love it.
Hi Colin. Thanks for the comment and suggestions. It really does help. I think I covered the question why I chose the BivvyBee in the video linked below. The other suggestions are all good and going on the list. Are you taking your lessons at Darley Moor? If so, I’ll no doubt bump into you soon. 👍th-cam.com/video/dOhpilMdOh4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AnR66muajoaV4-e3
Hi Paul, congratulations on reaching this milestone - onwards and upwards! I'm interested in all things general aviation (close to gaining my LAPL 🤞🏻) but never had much of an interest in flexwing.. until watching some videos on your channel! Glad to see your success - your content is interesting and you seem like a generally down to earth good normal bloke, which makes the viewing all the better. In terms of ideas for the future, perhaps some information on how someone might get into flexwing flying? Admittedly I've not spent too much time Google-ing it yet, but I haven't found anything that simply explains: license types, how many hours required, what SSDR and sub-70 etc is.
Thanks Michael. That is a very good idea and a number of people have suggested similar so I’ll stick it on the “to do list”. I’m not often described as “normal” but I’ll take it! 👍
Hi Paul. Love the channel. I’m a microlighter and a biker so I’d love to see some biking stuff too. I road race classic bikes and I fly my Blade 912. I’m racing in the Pre TT in May in the Isle of Man and then after I get home I’m flying back in the Blade with the misses for the TT. I do videos on Facebook of my racing and bike repairs but I’ve yet to do any flying ones. I’ve been picking Giles’s brains about camera set up for the Blade. Sorry for the long winded comment. Keep the videos coming.
Hi Paul. Sounds like we have similar interests although my preferred pace on a motorbike is a lot slower than yours. It’s amazing how many flex pilots are also motorbike riders. I am planning on doing a video to look at why that is. Keep flying/riding. 👍
Hi. Congrats on your milestone! And Thank you for your interesting content. Would you consider doing a video on your journey to your pilot's licence to buying your first aircraft, and what decisions you are happy with and one's that you would change from looking back? Thank you!
Congratulations Paul, just an idea that for me ( a person taking lessons in a gt 450 flying out of deenesthorpe) could you do a video on video editing , What editing suite you use , also how about doing visits to other airfields to meet and even fly with some of your subscribers . You would always be welcome to visit us here at deenesthorpe. All the best Marcus
Hi Marcus. A few people have suggested doing a video on the process of making a video so that is on the list. I will definitely be making a visit to Deenethorpe. I’ve heard the breakfast is well worth the trip. 👍
You have done very well to achieve that level of following in a short time. Takes me a week to make that sort of money here! 😂 Congrats. 🎉 Did you see my shout out to you in my last video? 😮
Hi Stewart. Just watched your video. It seems really strange getting a mention from someone on the other side of the planet!! Thanks for the shout out and the support. Fly safe. 👍
Hi Paul Being a expat I’d love to see the British landscape, in particular I’d love to see some beach landings, I don’t know the rules of that in the uk?
I have a list of things I want to do and beach landing is on the list. There is a beach in Lancashire that is quite a common destination. Watch this space. 👍

I’m sure Giles will get to 10k. I can’t wait to see his Sun & Fun videos. And yes, behind most pilots is a very understanding partner. 👍
Congrats Paulie. Well deserved...
Thank you. It’s kind comments like yours that keep me going. 👍
Congratulations Paul, don’t give up the day job. I like the flying videos. I really enjoy the scenery and related topics. 👍
Thank you Ger. I’ll keep making them as long as people keep watching. 👍

Congratulations Paulie! I think I subscribed to you channel when you had less than 50 subscribers. I enjoy your videos a great deal. Cheers mate!
Thank you. I’m hoping you will have seen my content improving as I am getting to grips with it all. 👍
Great stuff Paul. Excellent job...always enjoy your programmes. With the Nine now, how about more cross country flights? Longer expeditions....all the best, Mike
Definitely going to be doing some longer distances this year. 👍

Ready for the next 1000.. more camping, weekend trips. Different airfield.. can you put your plane on a trailer and travel to Scotland??
Definitely more camping trips and visits to new airfields. A trip to Scotland would be cool 👍
