Hi Paul, I am really enjoying your posts. I missed Popham this year for the first time in many years, due to a combination of bad weather and having to spend the weekend sorting out my electronics, so good to get a flavour of what was going on. Thanks for posting.
Ta Ged. It really is a good day out especially if the weather plays ball which it did this year. Leave the bank card at home though to avoid temptation. 👍
A tactical approach there, by using the bike you're limited on what you can buy and take home. Of course there also isn't a landing strip at McNasty so swings and roundabouts as they say. When I saw Giles on the bench at the front I thought it was the naughty bench. Thanks for sharing, glad you enjoyed it, here's to a hopeful outcome for Popham.
Cracking day for you. Glad the weather picked up for you. Nice ride down. You've just won a few hundred thousand, which aircraft are you going to buy, a nice flex wing, or go for a streamlined 3 Axis.
Great channel Paulie! I fly an open cockpit powered parachute aircraft. Sometimes I use a Gopro 7 black on a head strap. I fly at a BLAZING 30 mph. Looking for a suitable external mic to plug into the Gopro. I want to narrate the flight while minimizing the engine noise (engine sits behind the pilot and passenger). Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
You’ll need a mic with a 3.5mm jack that you can plug into a GoPro media mod. I don’t know if you wear a headset with audio out. If you don’t then something like this would work. cpc.farnell.com/pulse/hsm-700-lj/headset-microphone-3-5mm-locking/dp/MP34751?mckv=s_dm%7Cpcrid%7C224680541983%7Ckword%7C%7Cmatch%7C%7Cplid%7C%7Cslid%7C%7Cproduct%7CMP34751%7Cpgrid%7C47726778220%7Cptaid%7Cpla-959039943324%7C&CMP=KNC-GUK-CPC-SHOPPING-945736535-47726778220-MP34751&s_kwcid=AL!5616!3!224680541983!!!network%7D!959039943324!&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6PGxBhCVARIsAIumnWYKJiXlt7ZDp5fvIXcQcCEN01lFiifXvIhvo7bjequWZByRwVSpA90aAmiCEALw_wcB
First of all Paulie, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my query. I do wear a headset and I am investigating a cord that will work in that scenario. Looks like it will have to be a custom build by Comtronics. What I would like to do is have a microphone plugged into the GoPro while I am wearing the GoPro head strap so I can be free of my Intercom and walk around to do preflight checks etc. So far, I have found nothing on TH-cam that would pick up my voice as well as canceling or somewhat canceling the engine noise behind me. I have been researching what bicyclists do for their audio. I have added Challenges in that I have motor noise and I’m trying to combat that. In essence, I’m trying to sort out a roaming application with only the head strap, Mike adapter plus microphone attached. If you have any other ideas, I’m all ears! Thanks again for your time. BTW Sounds like we have a lot in common. I have owned not a few motorcycles, I love Powered Parachute flight ……. you don’t happen to be a ham radio operator do you?
Great watch Paul, thanks for taking the time to bring us all along!
You are very welcome. 👍
Glad you finally found it buddy. It's a great day out and meeting like minded people. Cheers for the shout out.
Definitely is a great day out. Hopefully the housing developers leave Popham alone so the show continues. Fancy flying in next year?
@@paulieb796 I'll have to plan the time off ;)
Great to see your view of the event and to catch you on the day. 👍😁
Likewise mate and great to see you had some good weather to get your solo under your belt. Will hopefully be paying a visit to Shobdon soon. 👍
@@paulieb796 Really looking forward to that mate. Don't forget I can bring fuel/beer/Doner kebab pot noodle as necessary. 😉👍
Really enjoyed coming along with you on your day out. Well virtually anyway. Really interesting. See you back at work mate. K
Thanks mate. It was a great ride back too. I avoided the motorways on the way home. 👍

Sorry you missed the show. It was my first visit so but wont be the last as long as the housing developers keep their hands of the airfield.
Enjoyed that! Possibly sad news, but fingers crossed on Popham
Glad you enjoyed. It was my first visit to Popham but won’t be my last hopefully. 👍
Nice taster of what was going on Paul. Like you I have never been. It’s on the list. Keep them coming. 👍👍

Got a rucksack and two panniers full of brochures though!
Thanks Paul, great video
Thankyou. Your gyro is an awesome looking machine. 👍
@@paulieb796 thanks, I’m hoping to fly to the flexwing event at Rufforth in July 🤞
@@DavesGyroAdventures hoping to fly in to that one. Hopefully get to meet you. 👍
Thanks Paulie 👍
Thank you Patrick. I look forward to your 👍 every week. 👍
Great vid, Paul 👍🏻
Thanks Kev. Trying to edit 2hrs of film into 15 minutes took some doing. 👍

With a few Hundred Thousand i'd have a delta jet to play with while I build a 3-axis machine and learn to fly it. We can but dream!
@@paulieb796 I like your style. Petition signed.
Great to get rid of you for the day!
😮
Yet another airfield threatend with closure by greedy, short termism mindsets. Great video
I was shocked to find that there are more than 40 airfields under the same threat.
Giles - reminds you of a teacher
Paulie - reminds you of an uncle
P.S. why do you drive on the wrong side of the road?
Thankfully, we all drive on the wrong side of the road so it works. 👍
