Unlike you, most of my neighbors are christians who time and again wishes me Eid Mubarak and Eid Adha. I proudly wishes them Merry Christmas to show them that Islam is considerate and to be good neighbors are important. Wouldn't want them to think Muslims are rude. On top of that, I visit them as they visit me during Eid. And yes, they ordered halal food for us. That is how nice they are.

I was raised up to Believe in Jesus; but not celebrate Christmas. My family was shown "the Truth that He was not born on Dec. 25th but Sept during the Feast of Tabernacles. Pope Constantine changed the date of His birth to align with the winter solstice." We were also raised to not celebrate Easter and other Pagan days as well. New Muslim revert grew up in Christian family who celebrated Christmas as Jesus birth(midnight church service that's us), that's celebrating a baby who was born to die going by the Christian narrative. Gonna be 1st Christmas (2 wks hols here) as Muslim. Is it still ok to join in secular celebration - season of giving, singing carols, family get together? Jesus wasn't born on 25 December. So celebrating anything on 25 December doesn't make sense. If you look it up its actually well known that it's a pagan festival that has been adopted into Christianity. So not even you should be celebrating Christmas. But I can write my opinion according to my limited knowledge( may Allah SWT correct me and guide me if I think or say of anything wrong) But the true and well-depth love with Jesus(pbuh) must be developed automatically by those Muslims who have gone through a proper and thorough understanding of Holy Quran by means of Translation and Tafseer(details or summary)... As in the Holy Quran, both Jesus (Isa pbuh) and Respected Mary ( Marium AS) are mentioned as highly honoured and Respected. ❤️❤️ Even the Jesus pbuh is mentioned more times than prophet Muhammad pbuh is... Unfortunately....in this day and age, you may find some Muslims are lacking of knowledge of the Holy Book, Quran.. Why does Yasir Qadhi say it was Judas who was crucified? Although Muslim scholars say it is possible it was someone else, we don’t know for sure because it’s not mentioned in the Quran or Ahadith.
Personally i am not a religious man, but i have a deep interest in, and a profound respect for the religions of the world, and respect and love for true believers. However, i have NO respect but actual contempt for political correctness and identity politics. As a Muslim if you think about it, saying Merry Christmas is wishing a happy celebration of Jesus (saas) birthday. What is wrong with that. As we are Unitarians, there are also Unitarian Christians who don't believe Jesus (saas) is God. On top of that, son of God is a Hebrew expression. Unlike you, most of my neighbors are christians who time and again wishes me Eid Mubarak and Eid Adha. I proudly wishes them Merry Christmas to show them that Islam is considerate and to be good neighbors are important. Wouldn't want them to think Muslims are rude. On top of that, I visit them as they visit me during Eid. And yes, they ordered halal food for us. That is how nice they are.

Every Muslim knows to not imitate such events is not what we do and its worse for children too. New Muslim revert grew up in Christian family who celebrated Christmas as Jesus birth(midnight church service that's us), that's celebrating a baby who was born to die going by the Christian narrative. Gonna be 1st Christmas (2 wks hols here) as Muslim. Is it still ok to join in secular celebration - season of giving, singing carols, family get together? As we are Unitarians, there are also Unitarian Christians who don't believe Jesus (saas) is God. On top of that, son of God is a Hebrew expression.
