This is so beautiful to hear and learn from Muslim perspective. I am a Catholic, but I respect and absolutely love to listen to the teachings of Mufti; he's one of the most wonderful faith teachers of our time. May peace and blessings be upon him always. 🕊️❤️🙏 Thank you Mufti Menk
Catholic common misconception: we don't actually worship, we 'honour' Mary as the mother of Jesus and we pray to her to ask her to intercede our prayer pleas 'to' God, in our request to help save our souls. We dont worship statues, they are a visual aid only to focus on as we pray. We believe in the same one Almighty God. For Catholics it's God in three persons (forms) = God the Father (1 Almighty Creator), the Son (Jesus as God revealed to us in human form to save us from our sins) & God as the Holy Spirit (God with us living within our hearts) Hope its ok to share this here, I don't wish to offend anyone. I share a perspective with Truth and Love in the Spirit. 🕊️❤️🙏 Peace be with you. Thanks
Hey! I was raised as a Catholic too, forced to be an altar server, went to Sunday school... All the works. Began to be distant with regards to being an altar server. When sitting in the pews during church, I would keep quiet when 'Hail Mary' was recited. I'd sit behind to avoid neiyng close to the statues and stained glasses because it felt wrong. So wrong. I then began sitting outside during the whole church procession.. and this was before I knew or began my journey as a Muslim. Alhamdulillah, I've faced many trials that would make one turn back from Islam, but Islam answers all queations about God and the Prophets before us. There is truth and clarity in Islàm, I wouldn't jave it any other way ❤❤❤❤❤
No amount of words can describe how i feel when Mr Menk Speak. I am even inspired to learn Arabic and Islam. The way you share the wisdom of islam, is unlike any other muslim i have seen on the internet.
I grew up Catholic. I assure you that Catholics worship Mother Mary and they worship their many saints. They have statues and images. They light candals and burn incense to them. They pray to them. I am so very grateful that I was granted the gift of reversion and see that Allah alone is God.
Iam Muslim but my Christian mom send me to Catholic elementary school. Catholic worship Maria as the “mother of god”. Every morning we our class had to pray and say that
It's Ok to do whatever you wish but do not misunderstand a phenomenon or situation or a practice. I am a true Catholic and we don't worship Mary. We honor mother Mary because she's the immaculate mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.
@@emmanuelattah7222 As I say, I am a cradle Catholic from a deeply religious Catholic family. I went to convent schools and was deeply involved with the Church for much of my life. On the basis of my considerable personal experience I stand beside what I said. Prayers are offered to Mother Mary, not only is she included in general prayers, specific prayers are said to her alone. She has the power to affect the choices and actions of the trinity. She "appears" to humans affecting the behaviour, teachings and beliefs of the Church itself. Candles are burnt to her, incense is burnt to her. Her statues are the same size of those of Jesus and are placed side by side with him. If this doesn't constitute worship I find it hard to say what does. It isn't even possible to imagine the Catholic Church without "devotion" to Mother Mary. Muslims manage, on the other hand, to deeply respect Mother Mary without any of the Catholic behaviour because Muslims respect her while Catholics worship her. Ask yourself if you can imagine the Catholic Church with nothing but the worship of God, nothing but God, can you imagine that? In Islam we seek Allah alone and we put no human with Him in any way, that is not what the Catholic Church does.
@@emmanuelattah7222 I was a cradle Catholic and lived much of my adult life in the heart of the Catholic Church so I stand by my statement: 1) the statues of Mary are equal in size to those of Jesus and often stand side by side 2) the same size etc candals and incense are burnt to both 3) prayers made to Mary are believed to have the power to influence the actions of the trinity itself. 4) apparitions of Mary have been used to change actual Catholic doctrine and practice 5)not only are general prayers said to Mary but specific prayers are. In fact one of the most important forms of Catholic prayer is addressed to her. 6) she is honoured as" Queen of heaven" and "mother of God" both divine titles used in the Roman pantheon. I could keep going but if these are not indications of worship I don't know what would count as worship.
Some of my family are Christians and wished me merry Christmas I replied with peace up on isa = jesus. We should cheerish all prophets whom all taught us to love each other. Under one god.

Mufti Menk is truly a blessed man and speaks words of such great wisdom. It saddens me that other "so called" religious leaders cannot speak such truth but would rather create hatred between you and other beliefs / faiths or religions. The reality is that we all pray and worship the same God.
"...worship and pray the same God..." am sorry but your opinion isn't true. Many including yourself thinks so but we differ a lot. For instance, my God never begets neither begotten. Doesn't suffer slumber nor sleep and many other lovely attributes befitting only him no one else. How can we compare that with the majority of Christian God and the idea of trinity. Can he be the same God? No. They differ. The idea of having a deity is well explained in Islamic thoughts backed by the teachings of the Qur'an than in any other scripture
I have to laugh when people say that someone else's opinion isn't true as none of us can prove anything as we merely believe what others told us so it comes down to a personal believe. Assalamualaikum. I was a Roman Catholic before and I came from Philippines yet working here in Kuwait. I just embraced Islam and took my Shahada last 12th of September and Alhamdulillah we graduated last 12th of December from Basic Islam class but its very short meetings more focused on how to pray inshaallah we will continue to the next course. Now I’m still having many thoughts and questions on my mind that I hope it will be clarified inshaallah. Anyone could help me answer this. 1.why Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Alyhi Wasallam) is also like center of Islam like I could hear and mention Him in surah just like Catholics do when they pray they also say Jesus and Mary. Why can’t it be all the messengers be mentioned since they have all these special characteristics at their own time? Why he has also special holiday like Jesus on Christmas? 2. Why Muslim men are allowed to marry more than 1 wife? Will it not cause trauma or give her bad feelings to the first wife if ever? Can you love women at the same and all with equal feelings you share? 3. Why divorce is allowed when marriage is a very sacred union of two people that should be a guide for the young generation to stick with your husband or wife and that Allah (SWT) be the center of the relationship. 4. Why eating pork is haram? Please do not take my question be offensive rather help me clear things on my mind as a new Muslim. Thank you everyone❤
Hi!... you know that your questions are good ones but only science people in Islam can really and correctly answer you. I highly recommend you to just make some researches on internet and you will see the light Inch'Allah. Allah creates humans: some are science people like sheiks and others are just humans 😅. Knowledge is from Allah and he gives to whom he wishes. By the way, all of us may have a little bit of knowledge about our religion and sciences in general. So please make researches until you know
I dont know if Im knowledgeable in this. But let me try 1. Please define "mention while praying" ? in Shalah. We mention Muhammad [SAW] (and Abraham [AS] sometime) to Ask ALLAH SWT to give HIS (ALLAH SWT) blessings and peace to them (Muhammad SAW and Abraham AS) but especially for our prophet Muhammad SAW, IN the Quran ALLAH took it "personally" to give blessings (shalawat) to him (Muhammad SAW) Search the Ayah about shalawat, and the explanations of its different meaning in arabic language depending on who does it. SHALAWAT meanings: For ALLAH : Giving personal blessings to The last Prophet For Angels and Humans : Praying FOR blessing to be upon The Last Prophet
2. It is allowed, but NOT ENCOURAGED. The Quran is the only scripture to say Clearly, "if you cant be FAIR, better marry one" as far as I know not even Tanakh (old) and New testament has this verse. Not even the other non-abrahamic scriptures. Even The Last Prophet's wives sometimes got jelous attitude, as we know that Khadija RA (the first wive) and Aisha RA were his favorites. So we can see even the FAIREST-ever-possible human, The Last Prophets, could not COMPLETELY be fair with his feelings. But dont get it out of context, beside those two wives, the other wives were married for protections and elevated status purposes. And the only one who did not have the widow status was only Aisha RA. So the point of the teaching is, when the FAIREST human possible, The Last Prophet SAW can't even be completly fair with his feelings, how about us, mere sinners ? Can we be arrogant enough to say we can be fair and have multiple wives ? And think, in this age of debauchery, IF, big if, IF a married husband could not hold his urge and his wife could not do her duty for whatever reason, and that husband have a HARDLY-ever-given permisson from his wife to marry the second wife, WOULD you still stop him ? Or worse, let him do Zina (adultery) regardless instead ? ALLAH knows how weak a mere human can be in front of his natural instincs
3. Again, ALLAH SWT knows how weak a human can be and how fallible we are. No husbands, or even wives, are perfect. When a husband for whatever reason can not control his emotions, and always do abusive behaviors towards his wife, to the point of torturing her (it happens, it does) almost EVERY SINGLE day, letting his anger uncontrolable, would you still force the wife to be in a marriage of that kind ? NO ALLAH is merciful, HE hates divorce the most, but ALLAH does not forbid it, forbiding divorce. Because marriage that has no goodness left in it, is marriage no more. Another example, if the wife was found doing adultery, being unchaste, would the husband still can love her the same ? Some may, but most can not. It may cause severe fights, abuses and hate in that marriage. So again, in that case , divorce is allowed by ALLAH SWT. Even though HE hate it the most
Lastly, those are my limited knowledge, learn from ulama (the scholars) as im not one myself. Note : SWT Subhanahuwata'ala SAW Sallallahua'laihi wassalam AS Alaihissalam RA Radhiallahua'nha/hu ALLAH SWT knows best ❤
Mufti Menk is very inspiring and made me start this TH-cam Channel. This videos are very eye-opening and I always recommend them to someone who needs them. May Allah bless him and everyone reading this.

I am catolic and all my life we know 25 december is not realy day when Jesus is born but we that day remember and celebrate Jesus coming from God or Allah on Earth.
The day is irrelevant. People who get hung up on that are so childish. What are we going to do, put all Christian holidays in the Spring and give kids a month off school? Why not, Christmas, Easter, etc.. one after the other.😂😂 And by the way, there are Christians all over the world. When its Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, its Summer in the Southern Hemisphere so what do you do? Base Christmas on where you live? 😂
@@snjezanamarkov6976 Why are you asking me? I dont have a problem with Christmas. Im sure it doesnt even occur to these Christian obsessed that the Eastern Orthodox church doesnt celebrate Christmas on the same day as other Christians.

For Angels and Humans : Praying FOR blessing to be upon The Last Prophet
NO
ALLAH is merciful, HE hates divorce the most, but ALLAH does not forbid it, forbiding divorce.

@@susiex6669 I live in Europe, and it is irrelevant time when christians celebrate Christmas because we dont know when Jesus was born. What is problem?
@@snjezanamarkov6976 Why are you asking me? I dont have a problem with Christmas. Im sure it doesnt even occur to these Christian obsessed that the Eastern Orthodox church doesnt celebrate Christmas on the same day as other Christians.
Thank you Mufti for your clear explanations.

I urge you as a respected Scholar whom I admire much and with so much reach to correct the errors that we have learned on since the passing away or the era of the Khulafa Ar Rashideen.

Allah created Jesus from a miracle birth, made him sinless, and gave him miracles to send a message to the Jews. All by ending up backfiring on him and deceiving billions of people 👏. Such a beautiful message ❤️
