I love anything that helps automate tasks with the shortcuts app. I just wanna see more creative, and more original shortcuts. Like utilities. Not something that’s like adding songs to a Spotify playlist. Videos like these are awesome! Keep it up!

This is fascinating. I had no idea you could create anything with this level of complexity within Shortcuts (which to be fair, I'd never really looked at before). As a dev I'd always assumed that this kind of manipulation would require actual coding. Thanks for a great video!

Hey Rob. I just wanted to thank you for these videos. As an aspiring shortcutter I am always amazed at the thought process to create these. I find myself still struggling to get my thoughts together to build more intricate shortcuts but these videos help immensely. Do you have any useful shortcuts for a “Save to Feedly” type function. I am not sure it can be done but just something I have been interested in.
I'm glad you're finding the videos useful. I have to say that it's a lot of trial and error in the early days to get the shortcuts working but after a while of doing that I managed to get a feel for how the system works.
Regarding Feedly - that shortcut is definitely possible, but you might not need it. If you have the Feedly app installed, you can send any page in Safari to any of your personal boards by selecting Feedly as a destination in the share sheet.
Can you recommend a video about opening a URL and clicking a link or a button on the page? Or fíling forms on the page?
you could also technically get chrome extensions working as long as they all use javascript, you can do this by getting the javascript of a chrome extension and running it on the page using the shortcuts, you can also make your own inspect tool, by using the body's innerHTML or the html tags innerHTML actually

Having said that, I tried to learn something about creating extensions following the video itself but after having created the first script following your very clear step-by-step instructions I wanted to download some of the other extensions. Unfortunately that doesn’t work. If I click on one of the links you provided, a page in iCloud opens and once I hit the script button I am directed to my own shortcuts.app and being prompted a message that states (more ore less) that for sake of security I cannot import the Script. Am I doing something wrong here? Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Thanks for your kind words. You've not done anything wrong - by default you can only install shortcuts that are published in the App Store. To allow Shortcuts from all sources you can use Settings > Shortcuts > Allow Untrusted Shortcuts.
If you're doing that, it pays to check each shortcut you install before you use it to make sure it's not sending any sensitive information to places you don't want it to be going!

Is it possible to have the shortcut run automatically on the webpage, without having to go to the share sheet?
Not currently. In 15.4, the support for running shortcuts automatically is extended, but still doesn't cover running inside Safari automatically.
Can I use google extensions
Well: I tried to create a shortcut, but it didn’t really work. I live in northern Finland. I wanted iPad OS to remind me for example at 8 am, if the temperature in the morning is below let’s say -4°C, so I put a motor heater on.
It works ok, if I open it manually. But then I also could have a look at the weather app also. It doesn’t really work, if the shortcut opens automatically at 20 - it wants to get my position and doesn’t really get it.
Now I don’t need that shortcut anymore: it is always freakin cold and I heat up the poor car anyway.
This is one of the big limitations of Shortcuts in their current form: there’s no useful way to trigger them based on events. Hopefully iOS14 will see is move a step forward on this.

When I import multiple photos into one single note into notability, it sometimes gets wonky. Is there a shortcut you could make that could combine multiple images into a pdf? It’s much easier to import a pdf into notability rather than multiple, separate images.
I believe there is. Sadly PDF shortcuts are broken on iOS 13.2 it seems so that will have to wait for 13.3!
I heavily rely on Chrome Extensions and Opera Addons. Does it work already on iPad OS?
