As an 18 year old teen who isn’t anywhere close to buying a new car, I can’t help but watch these reviews because of how entertaining they always are. You guys are doing great stuff out here 💯
That is so very awesome! Thanks for tuning in.
+1 to this. I can give this review no zonks. 🎉
I bet the third row seat package on a SUV gets used about 2% of the time. It is just a flavor of the week IMO. Give me a 2 row with the space of the third row dedicated to storage space. i think Mazda is doing a really good job on their vehicles.
I totally agree with you!
I agree w you, I don’t get the hate on 2 row SUVs all of a sudden. I just returned my VW Atlas Cross Sport, which looked so much better than 3 row Atlas imo. I have one 2 year old, so I don’t need a 3rd row and I loved the bigger 2nd row and extra space in the back. Debating an ICE Mazda cx70 or 2 row Jeep Grand Cherokee for my next lease, just can’t decide, but I need to see the CX70 in person.
Yup. It’s hard to find 2 row suv with v6 power. Not everyone wants a 4 cylinder suv.
@@briguyinsigo look at a 90 with the third row folded, it's THE SAME CAR.
Your Atlas CS is physically shorter and different. If you are going to buy a car that's 201 inches long and can come with a third row, why get the 2 row version? The 2 row version does NOT get more room in the second row. It does NOT get additional cargo space. You do get a small underfloor cubby that is hard to reach for everyday use.
I agree 100%. I was desperately waiting for the Mazda cx70 and I was really hoping for a size between cx90 and cx50 but I was so disappointed to see it's the same bulky size as the cx90. I don't know why there is hardly any good midsized 5 passengers suv left in the market. I was considering either the cadillac xt5 or ford edge because I love their size but they are both discontinuing next year. Very disappointed
We need the CX-60 Mazda!
I am sure that is coming soon
it will be the CX 5 replacment hopefully with the inlune 6 and the good suspension not the torsion one is horrible
I don’t think so, heard no plans for the 60 to come to the USA. However, given the response, maybe they will consider it.
@@magnoliap5824 yes it is. It will be the replacement of the CX 5. Sadly Mazda has gone downhill and probably won’t be here till 2026 😭
I agree! I don’t want the big beast size of this car but the CX-60 would have been perfect

I am really digging it to!

That color is gorgeous!
I totally agree with you
Thank you Raiti I was looking forward to seeing this review. Great work!!
I love your car reviews. So much information with entertainment mixed in. Keep up the great work and thank you.
Thanks my friend! I really appreciate your support!
Joe, I'm a Mazda fan, I buy them at auction and sell them. What I like most about your videos is that they always have the same order, and you do it in a very enjoyable way. I am in Florida just like you and I know the heat and work it takes to make those videos, which is why I always support you.
I find your reviews are real consistent. Good job and such a high productive rate of videos!
That means so much!
@@RaitisRides You are very Welcome
I wish it was much less expensive as the Cx 90
That would have been a nice choice
It's the same vehicle. Why would it cost less
@@pinkisforpimps, A LOT of people say it is too big with an ugly rear end. What the company initially promised was a slightly wider version of the smaller CX-60. Had they delivered it, it would have cost less.
It should cost less
Great job Joe and Lorrie. In fact black cladding looks best with this color.
What a great review! Love to see great reviews of Mazda..
I am glad that you like this one.
Those black finish door handles, fenders, and side mirrors look nice as well as fake vents in front and back. Otherwise the car would look monotonous. Its color is more brownish than copper color which is I didn’t like. If they would paint it like an actual copper a bit “reddish”color tone. That would be amazing. those cup holders can bu useful thermostats
You need to see it in person.
Wow Joe you’re in my city area! Like your style of car reviewing
Thanks brother!
Love the red interior. We need more of them.
This is so very true!
Joe, always enjoy your reviews, very insightful. Was wondering which Mazda CX-70 you prefer, the PHEV or the Turbo S?
Love this beast... current cx5 owner and will be buying one after powertrain warranty runs out
That is so awesome to hear!
Joe, I'd like to see you wrestle a 4x8 sheet of plywood into that cargo area. Volumes don't really translate well for useful space.
16:53 of course you had to mention the twinkies! Love the creativity 👏
I’ve been waiting for this vehicle hoping it would come in about 10” shorter than the CX90, but it still is very tempting. Mazda held Autocross events and I learned to love the drive and handling of their vehicles. Even though it is a bit big, I will still consider it. Remember the adage Joe, “Big foot, big HUD”. Thanks for the great review.
Someone tell me he didn't say you are going to bust cream all over the Napa Leather. 😂
Well...... LOL
Joe one thing I wonder if you could start to include in your review videos. How about the sound of the engine starting up/start up chime? Always a sound id love to hear on cars and gives each car it’s own character
Thanks Joe, I’ve been WAITING for the full review of these! I love the bench seat instead of captains chairs. Don’t love the clad black on the exterior. However I definitely prefer this over the 90!
Thanks for letting me share with you!
I love the melted copper color. This has a more copper look than my mammas lucky penny collection 😮
Man I love what you did there Chris!
Only reason I can think of as to why they left the cup holder's in the cargo space, is for off-roading/camping so when you sit in the trunk and you have a place to put your drinks lol I think the CX-70 2025 is gorgeous. I love my CX-9 2021 with 7 seats. If I did not need the 7 seats I would totally go for this one. Thanks for the great review!
Amazing review Joe.
Thanks brother for letting me share it with you!
We have a CX5 and looking to go hybrid to get better mpg and need more rear seat room due to a car seat? Is the rear leg room (2nd) row more than CX5 and same as cx90?
Oh yes it is!
CX-50 is actually a bit larger than the CX-5 and will come out as a hybrid later this year at a price point far less than the CX-70. It'll fit in your garage, too.
I'm sorry, but this has got to be the dumbest move on Mazda's part. The CX-70 has got to be one of the most confusing vehicles I have ever laid eyes on. How did Mazda think it made sense to take the CX-90, remove the third row, and market it as a completely different vehicle? It's like they were trying to do what Jeep did with the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L but failed to distinguish them from the outside. xD
You quite literally have CX-70 levels of cargo room in the CX-90 just by folding the third row down. Not to mention, both the CX-70 and CX-90 look almost identical aside from the slightest of changes made to the front-end and rear. Everything else from an exterior design point of view is CX-90. There isn't even that much of a price difference between the two if I recall. We should've gotten the CX-80 instead since that actually looks different from the outside towards the rear and it is also smaller than the CX-90 proportionally. I really don't see the CX-70 doing all that well if you ask me. But if it does, I'll eat my words. As it stands though, it's a really stupid vehicle marketing-wise.
EXACTLY! 😐. Mazda could've and SHOULD'VE done better 🤷♂.
We should have had the CX 60!
The cx70 is a result of last minute change. The economy is tanking and they didn't want to give us a real cx80 so they said "hey let's take out the seats from the cx90 and call it a cx70. Save a couple bucks since the cx90 ain't selling!!"
The third row never has enough room for full sized passengers.
I'm all for the 2-row design like the CX-70, like the Honda Passport
& the new Crown Signia from Toyota.
@@ssr1680 CX-60 is reserved for European markets.
So this is basically the cx90 without the 3rd row 🤔
Sort of….maybe
BINGO
Which is cool. It’s getting harder to find a 2 row suv with some V6 power.

Thanks for the awesome dedication
I bought a CX-90 PHEV and I love it! I have one kiddo and he’s uses a wheelchair sometimes. And we carry a lot of supplies for him. I literally just keep the last row down and it works great. There were a few times where I had to pick up a few ppl and the extra seating I have worked out perfectly! Skip the 70 and just get a 90! Btw I took this beast to Point Reyes and it drove like a dream! No body roll, the acceleration was great and the handling was awesome! It’s a huge SUV but it feels like you’re driving a sedan! I love my CX-90!😁
Great that it works for you! Problem with all the Japanese manufactures is that they don't offer a bench in the middle row on the highest trim. The third row on these mid-sized vehicles is ok for younger kids, teenagers hate to sit in the third row. Instead, I would rather have the CX-70 with all bells & whistles in the highest trim with a bench!
I’m waiting for Mazda CX-69420
Joe, have you given half zonks before? Joe, Which trim does the dead bug on the grille come with? there are seven trims, ? which one.
I sure have brother!
I love Mazda, but they missed the mark on this car. Should’ve brought over the CX-60, and just rebadge it as the CX-70.
They wanted a 2 row midsize though the 60 is almost the same size as the 50. They never bring the narrow body vehicles to North America because the biggest complaints were they were too small.
Maybe that comes next
@@DeadAir21you are so very right
Exactly
Fat Americans barely fit into the CX5
So they needed more room with the 70
Duh !
Get rid of the Mazda cx5 and bring over the 60 it’s bigger then the cx5
Joe, I love the Mazda CX70 PHEV Premium Plus & like I said & I'll keep on saying I think the "FAKE VENTS" give it style as a boring corner bumper, fender & rear bumper.
Thanks Luis for sharing your thoughts on this one
I agreed with every item you suggested. All that sleekness then a rear wiper was like “ah c’mon”. I am also not a huge fan of the front fake vents. Keep in mind I am a Mazda person. Literally drove a Mazda MPV as my mommy mobile and I prefer old school low-riders overall. Mazda is my big girl brand. Now I am debating as it’s time for a new car and you review cars the way I think which I love. Definitely subscribing. Thanks a million (or should I say 57k 😉).
That's the color I want!
It is really amazing!
Was really looking forward to the CX70, wanted a sporty driving two row, but wanted it about 10 inches shorted than the CX90. The truth is this is nothing but a rebadged CX90 with a rear seat delete and some color changes inside and out. Hard pass and disappointed. And it's the same price as the CX90, another huge mistake by Mazda. A swing and a miss.
I feel your pain!
I completely agree!! I was so excited for the reveal, and sadly was very disappointed!!
We knew Raiti had an ace up his sleeve 😏
You know me very well!
Perfect Camping/Road trip vehicle! More so the inline 6.
What a cool looking SUV! 😎
I think that color looks pretty good with the black cladding!
I am glad that you are liking this one Bobby!

I wanna see brembos, bigger turbos, an engine tune, adaptive suspension and performance exhaust

Folding side mirrors?
Love the melted copper color!!
It really pops for sure!
I find it odd that they used black on the arm rest instead of matching the red
That is very interesting isn't it!
My lease is up for my CX5 in 2025. If the CX70 had been smaller, it would be my next car. I’m fine with something bigger but not this big for a two row. Looking at the Land Cruiser or 4Runner. Which ironically are smaller than the CX70.
may as well get cx90 - almost same price
Is the 2nd row of the 70 roomier than the 2nd row of the 90? Is there more leg room?
It felt really good Ryan.
I actually like the contrasting black wheel arch trim. Wish the CX70 was a little shorter and lighter as the 3rd row is gone so why not save weight and overall length. Love the copper color and that beautiful vibrant Mazda red color as well.
Would look better if it had dual (visible) exhaust tips to add sportiness to the rear end look.
Mazda - Take the 3rd row out of CX-90, increase the price and call it CX-70.
Zoom zoom guys - Hell Yeah!
They know what they are doing!
They sure do! Remove features, charge more.. it’s like car shrink-flation!

Lovely Car,! Lovely colour..
It really pops in the sun!
It seems like an afterthought and rushed. Not taking out the 3rd row cupholders says it all.
This would of been nice if it was executed properly. I would choose the MDX over this, especially since Acura is finally putting touch screens in the newer vehicles with the new MDX.
I wonder how long it will take Mazda to put a legitimate touch screen and get with the times. Its 2024.
It might be a case of what might have been.
Nice review though as always
I’m glad that I can share it with you!
I wish Mazda had brought us the CX60, but with a sportier attitude like the CX50. That being said, with this decontented CX90, Mazda should have pushed the back seat further rearward to increase rear seat legroom, since they no longer have to accommodate the third row. They could have given this car enough legroom so that 4 six footers could really s-t-r-e-t-c-h out, while still having a ton of cargo space.
So they had two opportunities to make the 70 really desirable and botched both of them up.
Miata CX-20. 2-seater with rear storage. Built on CX-30 chassis.
Watch what you say because it might happen.
Agree about the fake vents! Kinda dorky looking. Seems very unlike Mazda's typical refined look.
Going to have to do a rear wiper delete to make it clean. The copper and black contrast works but would look better with body colored a- gloss wheel well mouldings and side skirts
You mentioned some great points
Nice suv 👌🏾
I am so glad that you think so.
I agree about the pieces at the corner, but I am unsure about the styling. And yes, bring back fog lamps. I don't know what it is about fog lamps, but over the last few years, every freaking manufacturer has moved away from putting them on their cars.
Mazda truly is a story about a survivor vehicle brand. Currently, Mazda is punching far above their weight class with some stellar new vehicles.
Can we get the 2024 Honda Passport Black Edition on a Raiti’s Rides Review
I will get that together for you!
Same price as the CX-90 with the same trim. Ridiculous.
Not exactly
GV80 length: 196.0
Cx-70 length: 201.4
For the ones that’s complaining!
I love the idea of the CX-70 because it’s a 2 row with a 6 cylinder engine. That’s beginning to be hard to find. There’s people who want a 2 row suv with some power.
Looks good
You are so very right about that Manuel.
I knew you were gonna zonk the fake vent. So many brands are doing that which doesn't make sense to me. Not feeling the flat black on the fenders. Mazda goes crazy with the flat black on their SUVs. Love the red interior. I would like to finally see them install a touch screen infotainment one of these days. No gloss black in the interior is nice.
Great minds think a like!
Flat black flares and grill pieces aren't the best but the car is so damn beautiful that it doesn't seem to matter so much. The rims and this particular paint are lookin real good. Turbo straight 6 is awesome. Very attractive vehicle. ☮️💙
Yeah, Mazda knows styling for sure!
Leaving out fog lights is a big zonk, my man. Every other vehicle in this class has them and MAZDA made the mistake of leaving them out. Go figure? More light is always better less. Those would've made this the perfect vehicle.
Joe tells it like it is. Flat black fenders are so cheap looking, and his old school references re space are totally nostalgic!
LOL... Game Genie... I think we're the same age!
I think Mazda is going to end up eating Volkswagen and Audis lunch with these new models.
Mazda been stepping up their game as of late. Every model been a banger so far
Wait until you see the other cars they have coming
Two things that these cars need are a touch screen infotain ment and fog lights
Love cx70
You have great taste!
Dear joe please make a video about the 2024 ford Territory 😊
I like everything except the red interior.
You are not the first to say that
Don't like the plastic trim, paint it gloss black if you want to do it. You know how unpainted plastic holds up in Florida
I like the way that you think!
The CX-5 design is so elegant and sporty, this is just so awkward and clunky for Mazda. Was excited for this when announced a couple years ago but as many other commenters have noted, nothing new here and the size is just bloated and wrong for a two-row.
Edit: WHAT?!! Almost 5300 lbs for this mid-size CUV?! Crazy!
I’d like to see a video on the Aston Martin Vantage. 😊👍
You got it Andre!
Comfort of seats better, or worse, than the new Lincoln Nautilus?
It’s really hard to think that the same people who designed this vehicle came up with this interior and exterior color combination. It’s arguably the worst color combination I have seen in a vehicle.
Mazda seems obsessed with these weird colors. In addition to the regular black interior, I wish they had the following exterior and interior combinations:
Black, white, silver, dark gray with this red interior; black, white, dark gray, dark blue, dark olive green with the saddle brown interior. These are luxury car color combinations, not this crazy copper and red.
🤦♂️
💯
You are not alone in those thoughts.
No way. We've had enough boring NON-colors like white, black, etc!... but the CX-70 does have those boring NON-colors as well...
but I agree that it would be nice if they had a green, like Lexus's Nori Green... I'd actually say Lexus is more adventurous with color than Mazda, but Lexus dealers only stock the lame and boring whites, blacks, etc.
True luxury is found in color and contrast... not boring NON-colors that make your car look like a rental car.
@@brandononbrand You mentioned contrast. I think we’re saying the same thing, for the most part. Here’s where I think we differ: Lexus introduced a copper-like color with its latest RX. How many have you seen on the road?
Back to contrast: Colors, especially on a premium or luxury car, need not be crazy. However, when a manufacturer matches a “boring” non-color, as you put it, with the right interior color, it produces an interesting effect, hence the reason I suggested the aforementioned exterior and interior color combinations. In other words, white might be boring on its own, but having red seats creates an amazing effect. Other combos that produce great visual effect: black exterior with saddle brown interior or red interior; dark olive green with saddle brown, etc…
Great review love the content, the infotainment not being a touch screen is an absolute turn off for myself, my mom has a tlx with no touch screen and that thing is god awful. I have a golf R and they zonk the infotainment for the sliders and I will say its miles ahead than those infotainment systems.
Thanks for sharing that ownership input with us!
I would consider this for the sole fact that you can get a 2nd row bench in all trim levels (not just the lower trims like the CX90). Is it too much to ask for a CX90 with driver's memory settings, a digital gauge cluster + a second row bench? Seems Mazda took the idiotic Kia/Hyundai/Toyota approach. The CX70 is a viable option since I would never actually use the 3rd row seats but I do like the size and cargo space of this platform. However, the price increase of the CX70 over the CX90 for essentially less features is disappointing to say the least.
The wheel trim and body should be one color and not plastic black.
You can go for the Turbo S
I like it.
I feel like Mazda Zoolandered us with blue steel
If you run across an older RX7, you might want to do a review for these younger drivers!
I will definitely put that together for you
I’m so over the flat black trimming
I wanna see this CX-7O reviewed against the new Crown Signia from Toyota.
Stay tuned!
Got a feeling the CX-70 will flop because the CX-90 has it all for the same price. Although I personally don’t need a third row… I’ll wait for the big discounts on it because it won’t move as well as the CX-90. Probably even get 0% when the time comes lol
It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
I like flat black fenders
Trying to justify lower trims of the inline 6 CX-70 against the top trims of the CX-50 and CX-5 is going to be tough
You may be right about that.
