Man, You two guys, with no experience, and those bikes, did way more than what I'm brave enough to do with my 4 years mountain biking (not that I have a place like this anywhere near me but still) you're incredible, welcome to the party
Y sure buy a 2nd hand cheap bike with a rusty chain as a beginner and have the balls to just cuasualy roll up a double diamond jump trail. This guy is pure cociane.
Props for rocking the park on a Wal-Mart entry level. I'm looking forward to hitting Two Rivers next spring. Good luck to you in the future and keep cranking.
Thanks! It's crazy, the first time I got on a real hardtail and rode the the same trails. I was just shocked and amazed how much better it felt. I had so much more control and so much speed.
@@HelicopterDr Wow, that goes to show you that you can find a good quality bike and dont need to upgrade every 2 years. I feel like so many people go out and buy a brand new full suspension for like 2,000 dollars and where I live you dont need that.
Great skills and courage, I'm loving the fact that it's your first time and you seem to have no fear at all going over those drops. Also a good video to show those beginners that they don't have to buy that $4000 full suspension bike yet.
@@coltbryanfilms3176 Yeah, I would ideally upgrade to something comfier and more suitable for my skill level in the future if I was a beginner but starting with a hardtail + a dropper post would be a good start, especially with a lot of dudes selling their expensive bikes after the first few days of practice. Ride on :)
Another tip: I know it seems a little terrifying going off of the jumps at high speeds but you were going off of them and landing on the flats and you’re not supposed to do that you need to land on the down section of it to relieve all the pressure from the bike shocks and from you I learned this the hard way when I jumped the dirt bike and went past the down area and I ended up fracturing my left ankle and spraining my right.
love your video. i got into MTB recently and it was just soo much fun riding and making my first video while being scared of falling and braking my bones 😅
I had a friend mountain bike and when your good you don’t realize what beginners have to go through and you definitely tried things that you probably shouldn’t have great video 👍
Thanks! Yeah I've learned a lot since that first time. You can watch the full series of The Road to Mountain Biking if you go to my channel. You will see my progress, its insane!
So I've never been mountain biking. My first time in gonna be in 9 days. Ive been watching video after video on tips and I can provide some tips while I'm just watching tips. When your doing jumps, keep your pedals level, this also keeps your balance in the center instead of possibly putting more on 1 leg because they are uneven. Another tip is to lean back while you take the jumps so your not landing completely flat. Especially since you were straddling to seat, that looks like it hurt🤣
This was hard to watch:P Get a proper hardtail mountain bike and just gradually upgrade the bike. And lube that chain for fuck sake. You don't need to buy the most expensive bike to have fun. Just make sure you get a dropper seat post, okay suspension fork, flat pedals and some wider handlebars
Quick Tip Don't Keep One Pedal Down When not pedaling just keep them level

That's how I started mountain biking, terrible on first time and and mostly same bike as you guys. Love it,

@@coltbryanfilms3176 same here. I had a 1998 Raleigh M-30 full rigid and upgraded to a 2009 Raleigh Mojave 4.0 hardtail. Still riding it to this day.

Thanks yeah, I do have to say I know why people spend a lot of money on a good bike. It sure does make the difference 🤙😊

Those ramps sure aren’t like the plank of wood on bricks like we used to do. Hope you and Kyler continue to this type of fun together
What's up! Yeah I remember we used to do that quite a bit. We had a lot of fun. Good memories...

Keep sending it mates. You had the hardest part nailed on day one. Commitment! Every thing else comes in time and with experience.

Footage is 💯 dude! Awesome vid

Coltbryan Films Pumped for it!
@1:38 glad the stem or steerer tube didn’t snap
Where is this park?? Looks so fun, and really well built.
Two Rivers in Missouri.
Flat pedals and standing up coming off the lip would help but full huck!
impressive video editing skills
get more speed when hitting drops
im impressed that you could make that crappy bike look cool epic video.
And btw a little tip lean back when jumping lower seat and stand up :D

My brain is just screaming internally that you need to stand up and not sit down.
This is my local bike park!
👍
lower your seat down, kinda why your brother messed up on the jump, his was near enough sat on the seat
Don’t worry about people say about your bike I rock a 90’s full rigid cannondale
As a bike Mechanic
I will say
Your derailleur isn’t supposed to be vertically up
Stay safe
It’s a great sport
Quick tip don’t sit down and if you are going down a steep hill put your bumb to the back of the bike so you don’t go over the handle bars otb
how do you have only 183 subs????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya broke your deraileur

@@RS-xq6je I'm super good. Bike snob perhaps, but otherwise ay-okay
You guys should of get newer bikes or something high end
I'd say make do with what you have to hand
