You’re literally speaking my 3rd born. The symptoms is exactly that, we call him a piglet bc he’s always on a boob or bottle and I absolutely had to start supplementing about 2 bottles of formula a day. He’s ravenous ....and will almost chug a bottle when he’s only eaten not that long before. Only 6 weeks old. Never had that issue with my other two. Cranky gassy and (it’s hard to say constipated bc when he does BM it isn’t hard or balled; he just went from a couple a day to one every 3 days or so and he hasn’t taken well to that change) and that happened after I gave him some formula. Like you said, I switched to gentle ease (God I wish I saw your video sooner!) and also tried a different bottle - were still working out the kinks. He’s mixed and his father is lactose intolerant along with majority of his family.... *but I worry that a “soy based” doesn’t have enough in it to fatten him up/fill him* or give him the same kind of nutrients that would get out of milk. I still Breastfeed too, but his ravenous symptom was there when it was exclusive (and exclusively BF my other two and also pumping this time now I know I’m producing/he’s taking in more than enough at feedings, I can feel it too). Any advice or words of wisdom on how a Soy (or other non cow milk) formula stands up against cow milk formula??? And if there’s much a difference in the nutrition or caloric intake ...::I feel like that’s a “diet” kind of thing to do lol 😩 I thought I was a pro at this mothering thing by now but this babe threw me for a loop! #humbled

I didn't realize babies eating more could be with what you said..My son is about 2 and a half weeks old and he is pushing 4oz but sometimes it's like he wants more, like he will literally do all the symptoms of wanting more so I give him more but when I do it's like he wants it then not..I have told our pediatrician how much he eats but they never have told me this. There is times where he does very well and other times like yesterday he was crying like he wanted more but I just fed him his 4oz and he wasn't due till like an hour for his next feed. Then he only sleeps 2-3 hours till his next feeding, it's very rare for him to go to 4 mostly with the amount he is eating. Thank you again.

Her dr said it was probably colic so we put her on a milk based gentle formula and she does MUCH better with it. She also does better with a certain bottle

I use Loulouka and I absolutely recommend it. It hits all the marks on organic and replacing palm oil with coconut oil. Works for my baby and my standards are always questioning and researching all things I don’t understand
My daughter started with the regular one dr said used gentlease, got get constipated so bad... so I tried reguline and it worked wonders, never even told the dr.
My baby kept aspirating on anything not thickened so I was told to try enfamil AR and she was doing great but def wanting to eat constantly! But if I switch I’m concerned about the aspirating and doctors still can’t offer me help on why she’s doing it
People say that Enfamil and Kirkland brand from Costco are the same, but I have noticed they have different ingredients. Enfamil has lactose and modified milk ingredients as its first two ingredients. Kirkland brand has lactose and skim milk powder as its first two ingredients. In addition Kirkland brand has whey protein concentrate whereas Enfamil does not. I'm not sure what the protein source is for Enfamil. Perhaps it's in the modified milk ingredients? Based on this information which of these would you recommend?
I also want to add that both formulas are definitely NOT the same. They mix differently and the powder looks different. The grains of the Enfamil powder are finer in size.

My baby is lacto,has bad gas problems and digestive issues.Did not do well on any of the similac products as wll as on isomil. Im currently on alimentum.He has too much gas his stomach is hardening up everytime especially when he lets out his gas or burping.

Formula from Europe is not regulated by the FDA. So if there’s a recall on the formula from Europe how would you know? Most of the labels are in a different language it would be hard to determine how much to give the baby.
There are some of us that can’t get formula from Europe so it is great he is doing American formulas for us parents that are on a budget, have a Costco/sams membership, or on wic.
