Posting this here for posterity. I picked one of these up to play GTAV on the PC. I've found that when the unit is set to keyboard mode, the analog stick can only be configured as four keyboard keys, like a D pad. When the unit is set to Xbox One mode, the analog stick can be set to be one of the controller analog sticks, but the keyboard keys can also only be set to controller buttons and not keyboard keys.
You may be using the wrong app there is 2 of them... the one for the xbox is called tactical keyboard manager, not hori, hori the one with the red and white bar is for the playstation.. I had this same issue, searched the playstore and found tactical keyboard manager. It has a picture of this keyboard and connects to my phone now with no problem.. hope this helps.
I have not played a battlefield title with this setup yet. I recommend getting it if you like this style of gaming. It will be expensive to get, but worth the buy now an app supports making the mapping of the controller possible. Download the Tactical Keyboard app if you choose to get it.

I've not really played it on PC, but I will try it out on my new Laptop and update you on what I find out.

Yes. My mouse works fine, it took the app forever to work as well, but it finally works. It is some serious trial and error work.

I used tactical Keyboard on the Google play store. I am not sure if apple store has the app.

theres a new android app for this, i bought 2 of these and the new android app let me completely configure settings, profiles and sensitivities
