Guys I just uploaded a really good USA vs Mexico rivalry video but it got blocked for copyright. Hopefully one day TH-cam will fix their shitty copyright policy so y’all can see it Update: It’s up but it’s blocked in a lot of countries
People were overly judgmental of him and we might have kept him and that whole class around a little too long but that isn’t his fault he always worked in the midfield and made magic
Bradley was a great central and attacking midfielder. When we started putting him in the defensive midfielder role he would occasionally have a mental lapse and lose the ball or make a bad pass that put us in danger, or not realize an opponent was behind him and it would cost us big time. I still to this day don't understand why we forced him into that role when he was such a great attacking midfielder!
I’ll never forget his Mexico goal for sure. Definitely moments but wasn’t the big man like we would’ve needed. Hoping players like pulisic are to continue on a legacy like we used to have with Donovan and Dempsey.
Even in the comments on this video it's still apparent most US fans don't understand Bradley. People compare him to Donovan or Dempsey but they are different types of players, flat out. Bradley was a central midfielder and no other US player in the 21st century has come close to being able to regulate a game like he was able to at times. It's very hard to be a top team unless you have 2 or 3 people in a generation like that. Historically we have 0 or maybe 1. It doesn't matter if you have 5 good wings/forwards/etc., without controlling midfield you'll just be hit or miss based on tactics, matchup, and/or luck
@@Emper0rH0rde bigger issue is the back half of career Jurgen tried to deploy him as a traditional CAM and he has always been a Box to Box midfielder. I think he wasn't good enough as a playmaking CAM nor was he fast enough to offset his lack of percision passing. But where he always acceled was recycling posession and fight in the midfield. You just had to make sure he had some cover behind him given his lack of speed.
As a U.S. soccer fan I still feel cheated that poor Stuart Holden had those ACL tears. He was our best holding/center/creative midfielder since Donavan up until MMA now. Think about what we missed out on with a Holden, Bradley, Dempsey midfield in those lean years!
The Clint Dempsey opener + John Brooks closer to beat Ghana in the WC 2014 Revenge Game was my favorite US game ever I think. They played magnificent that WC.
Dempsey était un génie...Franchement je souhaite aux USA de remporter la coupe du monde masculine un jour. Vous avez les ressources pour celà. Depuis le Cameroun.❤
Very fun clips. I would include both goals scored against Slovenia in the 2010 World Cup to come back from 0-2. Donovan roofs a shot, and then Bradley volleys a ball straight on that I don't know how he keeps down under the bar.
Didn't expect Bradley to feature so heavily in this. In recent times I've heard a lot of derision toward him, probably because he was a central part of the team which failed to qualify for the WC. Though he may have been past his prime and we had to stick with him because we failed to develop any talent to fill his role, there are many triumphant moments to remember. Same with Altidore though I feel his contributions to the USMNT are generally accorded more respect.
I was thinking of exactly that Davies goal. There are few greater losses to the U.S. program in its history, than that Davies was so grievously injured in that car crash, and he was never able to recover from it fully.
That clint dempsey goal vs ghana must have been extremely cathartic for him considering he was apart of the two previous crushing defeats to them in '06 and '10
That 2014 WC was magical and was what got me into soccer. The Jermaine Jones strike against Portugal was incredible. I remember as soon as he hit it going “why the hell wou-OHMYGAAAWD GOOOOOAL!!”
Michael Bradley was an elite player for the USA as well as Dempsey, Fabian Johnson, Timothy Chandler, Donovan and Altidore. Best players that we had and made the most of it. Now with a full roster in europe. Our future looks bright
I remember that game against us , usa Algeria , the game was on fire 🔥 , one chance here and other there , but the American's deserve to win in that game really to be honest , donovan I will never forget what you did to us , a heart breaking in the last second mean a lot of bad feelings , but after all this is the football , respect to USA team from Algeria
Greuther Fürth. He's basically been a huge part of the team when their in the second division in Germany, and not so much when they are in the bundesliga. Not saying he elevates the team, but it's kind of wild he's received no callups the last few years when we've played dueling 8s and he offers somewhat of a different skillset than a lot of the guys we play there. I was actually disappointed he didn't get a gold cup shout, especially when we're calling in Roldan, sonora, etc.
I got to see donovan score what i thought was a fantastic goal against Brazil in the confederation cup finals in Joberg. Anyone remember that? I think it was 09
You’ve forgotten the goals in 2002, the volley in qualifying for our first World Cup in 40 years, and the goals against Mexico in the round of seven 16. The impact and quality dwarfs your Cuba and whosever your team is
Great video but the whole time I was waiting for the 2 goals against Brazil in the Confed. Cup but they never came lol…The Donovan goal in that game may be the prettiest goal we’ve ever scored
Man, I know people love to pile on Bradley and Altidore, but they were really hard done by Jozy's horrible injury luck and the lost generation. Jozy should have broken the US scoring record but his body fell apart. Also, still insane Donovan was not in the 2014 world cup when he had 7 goals and 8 assists literally the year before.
You could make a case that Bradley should have appeared twice more for his goals against Scotland and Slovenia in the World Cup. He scored a lot of big goals in big games.
Some are extremely memorable forever in my mind until the day I die, but it’s great see a compilation of some awesome strikes. The World Cup ones were by far my favorites. I was so angry when we didn’t qualify, and it’s nice to have finally made it into the last one, but I expect there to be some extremely amazing future games for our men’s team. The women are a bit underwhelming nowadays.
@@SW.Productions he does get a little bit overhated but i feel like he stayed in the team too long and didnt lead the younger generation. maybe thats on the managers who continued to choose and play him past his prime though
Please notice that the majority of these goals are individual efforts and not TEAM efforts. Big difference in terms of the quality of the team itself when it comes to competing against the best in the world .
Goes to prove my contention that if you have the ability to put the ball on frame, there's no such thing as a bad shot. Either the goalie has to make a save or you score. I think sometimes teams try to get too creative and set up the perfect shot from 1 meter out. You're at the edge of the box, you have a shooting lane, put it on target and see what happens.

Lando v Algeria... was by far the most impactful in my life. I cried like a baby
Amazing moment you just had to be there
Especially being called by Ian.
very important goal but it was a shit goal lets be honest lol
OMG me too!
That goal gives me chills to this day!
I remember rolling around hugging everyone I could find
That 2014 World Cup team had some awesome goals. When compared to this 2022 World Cup, it helps me appreciate how special those exciting moments were

The Dempsey free kick at 4:00 is wicked. Even on the replay it is hard to track that ball because of how much it moves.

Brek Shea appearing out of nowhere with a banger FK feels so appropriate for both Brek Shea and the USMNT.
