I still remember the day I watched my first full football game. There was this player on the screen-his charisma, his infectious smile, and the way he moved with the ball-it all captivated me in an instant. I didn’t know it then, but that was the moment I truly fell in love with football.
As a kid, I supported Real Madrid. Tbh; just because my cousins gave me a Real Madrid shirt, and from that point on, I was a Madridista kid😂. But I had secret, If Barcelona was playing at the same time, I’d quietly slip away to my room, close the door, and turn on Barca match, just to see Ronaldinho work his magic.
One day, though, my little secret was uncovered. My cousin walked in and caught me watching Barça. I was just a kid and I felt a knot in my stomach, worried he’d be disappointed in me. Well… He just sat down next to me, gave me a knowing smile, and said, “It’s okay, cousin. When HE is on the field, I just want to watch him too. He’s just something else.” That moment-it’s one of those memories that has stayed with me, the kind that makes you smile even years later. I felt understood in a way only kids can feel, like my secret love for the game was somehow okay.
Today, I’m still a Real Madrid fan-my cousins’ influence was just too strong to shake. But if, by some miracle, some magic… that young Ronaldinho was back on the field… trust me.. I wouldn’t hesitate to change the channel..

Imagine if he had had a winning mindset...he would have played in Guardiola and Messi's Barça. I was fortunate to see him 2 or 3 times at the stadium...and the boy was special. You could see it. Once he did a 60 meter pass with an amazing curve and the ball went exactly to his teammate's foot, I've never seen this clip anywhere. Mindblowing. In Barcelona we adore him as he brought back the illusion after some grey years. It changed the mood of the whole fans.

I was never a soccer fan but I remember this impact the dude had on the world! I'm 31 and when I was growing up he inspired a few kids from Mississippi to take soccer seriously. My homeboy got a scholarship for soccer which took him all over the globe. Thank you Ronaldhino for inspiring kids to chase their dreams
