Video was great, short to the point. I liked the additional info of the amount of inches above and to the side of the window. I have 9’ ceiling with floor to ALMOST ceiling windows. Maybe 2 feet between. How many inches would i use above? Lastly, do you have a video explaining HOW determine the right spot to drill. I’m terrified I’ll mess up… never done this before and doing alone. Thank you.
didn't hit a stud and also did not use a drywall anchor so what is holding them??? just going to pull out and land on the floor in a week- month or too.
I liked the video, but it seems like you just put the anchors wherever you felt like it. It's not clear if you measured or did anything to make sure that they were level to each other. Did you do a step that wasn't recorded or did I miss something?
Hey Steve! Thanks for watching. We didn't show the measuring but Danny makes sure to speak about it near the beginning of the video right around the 0:36 mark where he mentions being a specific level off the ceiling and window sill. Hope that helps!
@@DCLAUniverse That was the main thing I was interested in and if he didn't demonstrate it, then I may have skipped over it in looking for actual footage of his doing that. It was a helpful video. Thanks for doing it.
what about if I don't hit stud, should i do with anchors? also four inches apart, most likely I will hit the studs? greetings from virginia, a Peruvian friend 👍
I have the exact same hangers. .. Only thing I don't like is how far the hangers put the curtains.. Mine are adjusted all the way in and still don't like how far the curtains actually hang from windows. .
You did NOT show any measurements on how to ensure that the two brackets are level? Why skip that step? How did you find the studs? Missing parts, why?
Lame - if I try to hang anything by eyeing it it would NOT be straight. I was hoping to see how to measure and make sure it's straight - oh well I'll find something else
im always a little sceptical about anybody hanging curtain rods without using the studs in the wall. The way you have done it is not really a long term solution. there is also no way you could hang your body off that curtain rod like you are showing...
Hey Christopher -- thanks for watching. For us, we prefer it to be a bit higher as it makes it easier to clean the floors underneath and so dirt doesn't stick to the bottom of the curtains. It's totally based on preference but we definitely appreciate your feedback!
I like the touch with the peeping sally at the end. 👀

exactly my comment. that is a terrible way to hang curtain rods. not a long term solution at all.
This is a great video!!!! Thank you I needed this!!
Hey Pam! Thank you so much for watching and for the nice compliment. Have a great one!

Tip-- place a use toilet paper card board behind each loop. It gives it a better rounded look. Also, adding 2 more curtain panels to make it fuller
Nothing more classy than toilet paper cardboard hanging behind your curtain. Surely, that's what they do in high end hotels as well
@@noli-timere-crede-tantumI worked in a high end hotel. Can confirm. They do.
Appreciate the "A-Rod" pun in the thumbnail
You don't know how long we've been waiting for someone to mention that! Bless you, friend.
So you didn’t use anchors? Do I have to use anchors?
what about if I don't hit stud, should i do with anchors? also four inches apart, most likely I will hit the studs? greetings from virginia, a Peruvian friend 👍
Thank you!!!
So should I worry about hitting any pipes/electrical when drilling ?
no, but i would make sure I had a stud to screw into, not the gib board, thats gonna make it too weak.
Great video. Was helpful and straight to the point. Would like to see a video on how to make some shelving for a walking closet.
Thanks for watching!! We'll be getting into shelving in Season 2, so stay tuned!
Thanks
Of course! Hope it helped!!
Link to the drilling tool?
How far from the ceiling would I measure to install floor to ceiling curtains on an 8’ wall?
Hello, it depends on the height of the curtains. Typically you want the curtains all the way to the floor and roughly 8 to 12 inches from the ceiling
I have the exact same hangers. .. Only thing I don't like is how far the hangers put the curtains.. Mine are adjusted all the way in and still don't like how far the curtains actually hang from windows.
.
How long was that rod?
Do you need to screw into stud or will it hold anyway?
I see why you need the privacy looks like some nosy neighbors looking in
@@pistl67 ??
Definitely need to get into a stud
Great job but two pair would have looked so much nicer.
Hello thanks for your comment really appreciate it
Do you need to put the screw in a stud ?
Hello yes definitely the screws need to go into a stud or anchor
but yours didn't??? you can tell when your drills slips past the gib.
@DCLAUniverse
Drilling the rod anchors into a stud was what I was thinking, too. Thank you for that clarification.
You didn't use the anchors
Hello thanks for catching that we actually were able to hit a stud so no anchors are needed on those locations.
You did NOT show any measurements on how to ensure that the two brackets are level? Why skip that step? How did you find the studs? Missing parts, why?
Hello neighbor! Goodbye neighbor. ✝️❓.
That is easy of course, you didn't find the stud first😑
This helps because I hate installing curtain rods 😡
Hope this made your project easier. Thanks for watching

Why is arod on your window?
Because a (curtain) rod is on our window? lol
You skipped right past all the most important stuff. How to set your height
im always a little sceptical about anybody hanging curtain rods without using the studs in the wall. The way you have done it is not really a long term solution. there is also no way you could hang your body off that curtain rod like you are showing...
It's too high the curtain is four to 5 inches from the ground
Hey Christopher -- thanks for watching. For us, we prefer it to be a bit higher as it makes it easier to clean the floors underneath and so dirt doesn't stick to the bottom of the curtains. It's totally based on preference but we definitely appreciate your feedback!
2 minutes in and already closed the video. Great intro, great ad, great waste of time
it’s literally impossible 🥲
Thank you we will definitely take that into consideration
