I usually watch jeeps and 4runners, but I just stubbled on to this, and I am hanging on to my chair for dear life!!! Lol. Dude, you have balls of steal to do all that with a F350 and your house!!! That truck is a beast!
former wilderness EMT here. You developed altitude sickness likely because you didn't acclimatize and you were running up and down to do your filming and over exerted yourself. Smart move to come down in the night like that because it can actually turn into something more serious - high-altitude cerebral edema (HACE), and high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE).
"Just a dirt road," they say. The Shoot Dangs should made a song for that. One nerve-wracking trail, at least for those of us comfortably watching from home. 4am descent in the dark, yikes, you are one brave man; breathe well, amigo.
I recently visited some friends in Arizona who live at roughly 6000 feet where I live at about 500 feet. I can't even begin to say how much that elevation kicked my butt. Took me out for 3 days.
Everyone saying Great,Awesome Amazing,Yes absolutely all that.Your definitely a pro with your truck camper and the experience you have with rock climbing. But there would be no way I would even be in the truck as a passenger. Even when I was young I wouldn’t attempt it ,at 62 no way !no way ! I like adventures but that’s taking it to the top,no pun intended Enjoy watching you ,Stay safe and enjoy life
I can tell from experience keeping on trails in Georgia that in person you are amazed at where you are at then you show friends the video and the go…. ehhhh don’t look bad lol.. I’m impressed and my wife and I watch your videos every weekend.
A while back, I had the bright idea of hiking up uncompadre peak around that area and camp up there at 14309 feet. That was the worst night of some sleep I ever had.
Hey Tim, you knocked this one out of the ballpark. WOW! No way I would have done that road, I hate heights. That road reminds me of the Polychrome Pass and Eielson Pass in Denali National Park. I use to travel them a lot many years ago. They scared the shit out of me. You were really BALLSY doing that drive at night. Glad you made it though. Thanks for sharing.
Got a love the Rocky Mountains! Lived on top of Grand Masa for 5 years and loved it so much! One of the most beautiful places in the world! It's so awesome to see You make this Journey. 👍
Again, impressive Timmy! Happy as a clam you are back doing it in the high country. I absolutely love the high alpine areas of the San Juan's, makes one feel alive. Stay safe friend.
I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago and I’m so happy to see this particular video as I’m from Durango!! I’ve been all over this area and it’s fun to see you in this neck of the woods! I can confirm you did not drive on just a dirt road!! That whole area is dicey in spots! Cheers!
Become a huge fan of yours after finding your chan a few months ago. Been watching Brian and Sierra for many years now and was super cool seeing them on here! Sierra is missed!
Very Ballzy with that Huge Rig of yours. But I have seen low to the ground front wheel drive econo-box cars do the whole loop...smdh....Beautiful Area, World Class first class Mountain Pass off-roading for sure. Next time ill meet you on my KLR...lol...
I'm a long-time old school hunter from British Columbia, Canada and have driven over just about every mountain pass in the province with my brother and our hunting buddies. The biggest vehicle we ever took over the rough stuff were lifted Jimmy's or Broncos (full size) with our tents and supplies in custom made high ground clearance trailers. You did good with your heavily laden long wheel base truck....really good. After setting up a base camp we'd hike up into the high country where there was no road access to go after Mountain Sheep and Mule Deer, living out of our backpacks for 2 to 3 days. Highest elevation I ever camped at was 13,500 according to my altimeter which I thought was pretty good for someone who lived near the ocean.
I have experienced the same thing, coming from San Diego at sea level. Finding it hard to breathe is pretty scary when you get to those high elevations Can’t help but freak out!
Did this loop many times in a jeep and on dirt bikes. Can’t imagine doing it in a truck and camper. You missed a cool stop of animas forks. Well preserved old ghost town.
I lived at Cortez ,Co only younger years. Went Durango to ride the narrow gage train up to Silverton. Beautiful country. Don't think I would take that route you took. There were times on the train you would think you were going over the cliffs. But loved it out there.
At least you weren't totally demented trying to do Black Bear in that thing! So much better to stay alive and make more vids for us to watch ;-) Also fun to see the scenery....it is such beautiful country. So many film themselves up there but they go way too fast. Fun to see it along with ya.
You know what would be really cool!? If you bought a small four wheel drive like maybe a samurai that you could trailer behind your truck house and use it to go four wheeling in and use the truck house as a base camp 🤣🤘😎
This channel is a hidden gem!!! 👍😎
Aw shucks:)
Yeah amazing it doesn't have way more subscribers. Good stuff
Couldnt agree with you more 🌷
Your guardian angel probably has a head full of grey hair. I admire your zest for life!
lol

The wind alone should be enough to not want to camp up high and exposed🤘🏻
Sunday with a cup of tea and one your adventure videos, all is right with the world!
Вы рисковый , при таких габаритах на такой дороге. Вам как водителю респект а производителям вашего тягача зачёт. 😊

"Just a dirt road," they say. The Shoot Dangs should made a song for that. One nerve-wracking trail, at least for those of us comfortably watching from home. 4am descent in the dark, yikes, you are one brave man; breathe well, amigo.

I did a lot off rd driving in my younger days. But I didn’t have my house on it. A little unnerving. Don’t drive up Mt Washington with it !
I am sitting on the edge of my seat! Wow! Talk about adventurous!
I love watching these videos. This channel should have exploded and have a million views per video. I am sure it will get there someday
Maybe someday haha!
I tried to camp in my jeep liberty up high in elevation too. I experienced the same feeling you did. I couldn't breathe. So I went down in the dark

I recently visited some friends in Arizona who live at roughly 6000 feet where I live at about 500 feet. I can't even begin to say how much that elevation kicked my butt. Took me out for 3 days.
Great video. That was sick.

Timmmah! Great trip thx!.
I would scared to drive that during the day, can't believe you did it in the middle of the night.
Great video, you are a good driver to take a truck that big where you took it. I have an F150, without a camper, I would like to try it.
Omg good job you know what you are doing.!!

That hill around 15 minutes in looks crazy on camera!!! Wonder what it looks like in real life

That was some pretty intense pass!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪...greetings from 🇺🇾👌...

I lived at Cortez ,Co only younger years. Went Durango to ride the narrow gage train up to Silverton. Beautiful country. Don't think I would take that route you took. There were times on the train you would think you were going over the cliffs. But loved it out there.
Props for taking that road in your rig. Rode it several times on my KTM and it’s no joke.
anytime man:)
