Dubuque Rigs and Equipment Failure - Struggling for Pool 4 Walleye and Sauger

No one said fishing in winter would be easy and maintaining your equipment when temperatures plummet (especially if you store your boat outside) makes cold weather angling even more difficult. My lifelong fishing buddy, Pete Wagner, and I head to Pool 4 of the Mississippi River in search of walleye and sauger, but we encounter battery and fishfinder issues that plague our trip. You don't watch TH-cam for fishing perfection, right? Good, because this trip was far from perfect, but we had a great time, nonetheless.

I was wondering if that was you! So great to be able to fish down there with this unusually warm weather. I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of how to catch fish consistently down there. Spot lock and heavy jigs really help! Say hello if you see us down there again. Have a great 2024!
