I love how the red line is merely a suggestion and the engine is quite happy to go off the end of the tacho and start on the oil gauge 😁 This was a fun couple of laps to watch 😊
Did you notice how long it took for them to react to Misha's overtake, even after being hit by a shower of debris and dust? Talk about having the spatial awareness of a cabbage! 😠
Note that carbon fiber blocks radio waves, that might be why GPS cut and also the transponder. I learned that on Ramy Rc videos, (he builds radio controled airliners and on the lasts ones made of carbon fiber he did have to use external antennas because of that).

Take care to look at the components before, during, and after. Check the rear rubbing. The outside of the tyre is at least 5 mm maybe 10 mm to far extended outward. Or you can bump the spring rate to the next rating, not sure what your running, 350? 400? Id add one more step towards harder, reducing squat under the high lateral loads.

I'm only guessing but I imagine everything has been replaced that would be mileage sensitive 😅 engine, suspension, probably only the lower half of the shell has done the full mileage
Bmw's engines from the past are built like tanks, my uncle had an bmw series 3, 3000 6 cylinders Diesel from the first 90's, had the M package as well, and that engine had over 400000 km on it and never had any problem or perfomance loss, was incredibile
The speedometer is not working so the mileage counter isn't working either. On top of that, the engine was swapped in. So there's no way to tell the actual mileage of the car or engine in this video.

Proper build. Thanks also for the technical discussion at the end. That comparison with the M4 GT4, which is a full on racecar with slicks and COMSOL (or the like) precision calculated & probably wind tunnel tested aero - impressive, to say the least.
The M4 GT4 doesn't really have any underbody aero, but it does have about 100+ more hp, so this E36 must be an absolute blast to drive!!! Looks like it handles like a dream, and with just enough usable power.
@@rustyduktapehave u seen one? I work on one for a race team and in can tell u the aero is pretty advanced underneath the m4 gt4. The way the flow is directed with the massive front splitter and the underbody is pretty decent. Not gt3 level but certainly a lot better as an old diy project e36 (wich is still insane by the way)
@TheTechnoaddict I don't work on one, but have been a fueler for a team that runs the gt4 and gt3 for a few years. If I'm not mistaken, it's really just the front splitter that does most the work? There isn't really a floor similar to the gt3, right? Either way, I think this e36 just has "more" aero going on underneath, maybe if only because of that diffuser.
@@rustyduktape the underbody is almost the same as a flat floor with the panels and front splitter except for the exhaust tunnel. And there is a lot of research done on how the air flows and how it is directed. But no it's not like a gt3. That's a whole different level and doesn't come close to a stock chassis.

Misha, you were definitely "hauling the mail" as some of us say here in America on those (2) amazing laps! Wow! I could definitely tell you were comfortable with that car. The Carbon Fiber body made a huge improvement in cornering speeds an acceleration out of the turns. Great video.
