Fun fact: this is actually mentioned in iron man 3, when Tony and the kid were in the cabin, he sudgested a stealth move with retro reflective panels and Tony ended up using them to make the SHIELD's aiborne aircraft carrier invisible
You could easily make this automatic with 3 or 4 fine tuned colors, An altitude sensor that makes it water blue when at low altitude, a second one that makes it sky blue when at higher altitude, a distance sensor to detect ground and make it tarmac grey, and for spaceships, a gravity sensor that makes it pitch black when in space.
Could also just make it the colour of the ocean on top of the plane and the colour of the sky on the bottom, so less code is necessary for those. And have a distance that overrides the top when close to the ground for a different colour.
@@ImABotTrust Problem with that is depending on where the enemy is, they won't necessarily see the ocean when looking from the top, and if you go trough the logic needed to make the camo the right way around when doing maneuvers with the plane going upside down, you need way more logic than with something similar to my idea. It's a valid idea non-the less, for a small build with little room for logic your idea is a good compromise.
A quick tip for better stealth: instead of black, try using shades of brown or tan. Straight, black edges stand out like a sore thumb in almost any setting, but browns and tans are more easily ignored as they can look like dirt or rocks just about anywhere 🤙
@@Silver_Gear yep. All dependent on where you’re at, who’s trying to find/catch you, and from which direction. Another fun stealth fact: natural predators have lighter colors on their stomach/lower half than on their back/upper half to help break up the silhouette caused by shadows from the sun 🤙
In order to decrease the amount of seams and black lines on the plane, you can just adjust the paint job on the build itself. I would recommend a neutral blue to blend into the sea and sky
Would be really cool if you added logic so you can press 1 and it’d automatically blend in with one type or terrain and 2 for another and so on instead of having to manually cycle through every color in the rainbow
i was actually already working on a flying wing with the bottom covered in panels, and rn all im missing is making a little animation so slightly lighter spots move along as i fly
Awesome build! Would maybe making the base blocks you put the panels on a glass texture make the harsh black lines less visible adding even more to the stealth…. Or make the whole plane glass😂😂😂
hmmm i think i have a idea (first up i dont play trailmaker because my pc burnt down and i dont have money XD ) SO MY IDEA -> wehn u have a block of wahtever u can change the color of it, shure of curse its trailmakers u think. BUT can u change the color of the panels? because yes the FUNKTION is changing colors but weh u see this as a BLOCK can u still change colors (i hope it makes sence XD ) so i think u can "coloring" these stealth panels for a vicinity waht u want mostly use for maybe white and panels blue to more blend in with the water or darnk orange and light orange for the sandy rocks AND u can paint more induvidual to make a "camoflaage" pattern look at 17:10 HMMM can u try it and wehn it works can u make a video pls? XDDD
Just wondering, could you paint them a rough texture so they don't reflect light as much? You could also fine tune the colour and use an OR gate, just edit the output value. This build is already amazing, but I think it has a lot more potential. You could also paint the black parts a reflective colour, because that's always harder to see than straight black. I honestly love the concept of an RGB plane, I wonder how it would do against an opponent?
It would be pretty cool to make a jet or a car which has a lot of cool mechanization with the new logic parts. So aside from the obvious landing gears or car doors, it would also have things like gradually sweeping wings or spoiler and so on. Just as much neat tech in one vehicle as possible. 😅
You had the best joke opportunity at the beginning you could’ve said harry Potter Spider-Man James Bond car and your father what did they have in common, disappearing?
Fun fact: this is actually mentioned in iron man 3, when Tony and the kid were in the cabin, he sudgested a stealth move with retro reflective panels and Tony ended up using them to make the SHIELD's aiborne aircraft carrier invisible
Yeah, I wanted to bring up that and Spider-Man: Homecoming as well, but I just couldn’t fit it into the intro unfortunately

That is a really cool idea
That is smart
Really cool! Definitely making a cloaking flying brick when the update comes out!

I think its more to simulate the radar stealth paint
But, yeah.
Or white to blend in with the clouds or the foam on the water

I wouldn't recommend brown ir tan for an aircraft
This is a really fun concept! Can't wait to see what the masses come up with once they get the new blocks!
I love the fact that he's casually holding a big desk mic
an actual high-quality commentary trailmakers video?! no way!!
If you want a block with more connections that has lift just flip a spoiler
Nice tip
@@Rushtown_mayor_gaming thx
is that some good kid i spy in the background?? two of my fav things, trailmakers and GK! you've made my day :D
The devs should add video blocks witch connect to camera block and make these things simpler

The second that they said they were adding a hue panel this was the first thing that came to my mind!
Is it s bird? Is it a balloon? Is it a plane? Oh it's a flying hue pannel
We now have the ability to play Minecraft in trail makers
I can already see all kinds of trail makers TH-camrs making AI
This is a pretty good tutorial for the new block, as well as an impressive build!
Whemplar always makes the most creative and crazy builds. So ambitious and inspiring.
that noise right on the intro gave me a scare, thought I was about to get stick bugged lol
didn't even think about this lol
Using good kid's music just feels amazing to hear in a video. I'm glad someone is using it!
A colour changing mech would be pretty sick
space thruster being 3 pwc is not what i expected to surprise me
which makes it a surprise
Needs more Hue Panels
But do you know what else is cool?
More hue panels!
Rgb plane? 🔥🔥🔥
i would make the underground collar metal. black stands out a lot
Stealth tank next?
good kid music 🔥

i love how you showed a lot of the bulding process instead of a little and then you driving i like watching the complex bulding of this game👍
Whemplar: for a plane that has no wedges, it has a very nice shape.
8:00 literally uses a wedge.😂
Now make a helicopter 😂, great videos your catching up with logictive!❤
it actually worked better than i expected it to

Put chrome to places you cant cover so the reflection does it for ya
good music choices

Bro got the RGB plane
U should make a shirt saying "I ❤ hue panels!"just for this video
in the beginning i thought you were going to make the plane entirely out of glass to make it invisible
but this is also cool

yeah ig screen blocks would work
I think it needs more hue panels
3:00 I might be crazy but is that the instrumental to First Rate Town by Good Kid? AND OSMOSIS?
Yup!
What if you shot it with an EMP

You forgot about wonder woman's invisible jet at the beginning of the video

I actually wanted to try this once the update came out.
You should have used those part used to detect colour to make it real stealth
I would suggest to add some black quantum rudders for easier time keeping this thing in the air
make an rgb flying sword
and how will you do the rgb part?
that's right, *HUE LIGHT PANELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
really liked the video
maybe make the plane's body white so that it looks like sea foam or clouds instead of black things
damn
damn
not enough hue pannels
You could use the metallic texture with white
Im gonna grab this concept and use it slightly, im gonna make a reconnaissance aircraft which flies high and has the screens on the bottom
A largas distancias no cargan los paneles así que igual te verán
What if you changed the blocks inside to glass texture? Make it see thru. It might remove some of the black lines appearing when trying to stealth
Ok Here's a challenge: Make a clock with hue panels and logic.
Love it
I made a computer and tv using the new hue panels best update to trailmakers (for the trailmaker nerds only)
RGB boat might be easier

idk man, seems like he's building Fenrir to me (ACX)
oh god i want the new gates so bad
You just need to make nano-suit now
now include a stealth drive
paint the primary colour of the block light blue
You should be more popular
Still cannot afford trailmakers :(

Holy shit, rgb plane
3:47 it’s gonna be something like this I guess 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Or Skibidisumtinlikthis

For the black spots shouldn't you put white as the base colour? White is more common than black in the background (clouds, sea foam, ...)

ohhh, a like from whemplar. I'm honored!
