My only recommendation for any of you would’ve been to make it so your wings folded in when in the water… like the dive planes on a Typhoon or Seawolf Class submarine, or even a Gato Class where they folded against the hull rather than into it. Except, in your case, opposite, since the wings cause drag in the water. I never heard a rule saying your Swiss Army Fighter had to “always be an airplane”… and by folding them in, it would still work and meet the definition of a sub that’s also a plane, you’d just have the wings in flight is all. Nothing different from stowing or not using a propeller when in space when you think about it!
in KSP I made an aircraft family called the Daedalus Its downfall was 7-year-old me not understanding how control surfaces worked and mainly relying on gyroscopes and thrust vectoring (It also had three tiny pairs of wings)
Idea inspired by the underwater portion - Version of overpowered theme: One person with overpowered "Sea monster" vehicle vs. small armed submersible. Not sure how feasible it would be, but if you used weapons without targeting it would make it harder to see the "monster" underwater, potentially getting more of those "monster out of the deep" vibes. Perhaps even limiting the "monster's" weaponry, but letting them have targeting. They can see you, but you can't see them till they're close type of thing.
Ooh! Boats vs sea monster; the boats are limited to canons and bombs, while the sea monster has rockets as the main weapon, so it has to surface to shoot.

Great video @Scrapman - How about having a battle with vehicles that use skids. Battle can use the arena. Assorted weapons for rounds, ending in melee and jousting mechanisms. Another idea is Sailing ship battles on the sea map. No Propulsion - only wind and angling of sails.

8 days of asking, Dear Scrapman, I have an idea. The challenge would be to go as fast as possible in either kp/h or time from corner to corner of the grid map with a set power core limit like maybe 50 or 100. I think this would be an interesting challenge due to the need to balance aero, acceleration and the power limit.
I second the discord idea... All these "day x of asking" are annoying and don't work. It's like being a panhandle begging for money. It might work, but the more you ask the more likely I am to get annoyed and walk away.
U guys should do this again but with 6 different mediums Submarine,Boat,Plane,Space,Land and Wall climbers just to push the best of your abilities and it’d be really awesome to see 😅
Personally I would build for Air/Water since in space you have no drag so shape and thrust are less needed. Also since gyros are a thing, maybe ability to detach wings could be helpful just like the first round shown, with one wing gone it would be better to detach the remaining one and just switch to pure gyro control
During the underwater final battle scene, you can see the giant abyssal worm at the timestamp if you slow it down and pause it at the timestamp and scrapman looks down at it and it's at the timestamp 21:37

Idea; I found out a few days ago that with the powered tailfin on a hovercraft with gyro stabilizers creates a kind of glider. For example, I took my jet up until I couldn't see the island then I transformed into the hovercraft in midair, then activated my stabilizers and glided down then hovered across the water. You could use this idea in a race, combat, but the challenge would be you can only use two hoverpads :)

I would say that those are varifighters, but that's already something trademarked/copyrighted/claimed by Macross/Robotech. I think something similar like a flux-fighter (as in a fluctuation [condition change] fighter) would be something that hasn't been claimed and fits the bill. Besides you have 3 different flux-vehicles right there. You have yours as the "workhorse" all-rounder flux-fighter. Frank's is the tanky heavy flux-bomber. Yzuei's got the fragile yet fast flux-interceptor. I think the next flux-vehicles that need to be done should be water surface, off-road and snow. So a hover, off-roader capable of working on snow and ice. And then to top it all off, you have to use the smart logic for your hover pads. They turn off if they detect the ground and a button is toggled off and they'll turn on if they don't detect the ground and the button in question is toggled on. Also I think setting up some traps, like mines and spike sticks (rather just anchor blocks with trash on it to get in the way of builds) would be fun. Another idea would be long range artillery on the test map. You've already done this, but you can definitely push it to outside render distance. You create artillery pieces, you have no where to hide. The only main rule is you have to stay outside render distance of each other when firing.
@24:23, as an earth dweller said, the enemy is down. Thats all you have to do to reference yourself in space. Then you are just thinking about falling and shooting where you are falling.
Scrapman, an idea: Jerry-rig a prebuilt vehicle to make it capable to use in space, air or water.(The prebuilt vehicle is like a car or truck, land vehicle)
It would be great if you could show everyone’s process of building their craft so that we can see their trains of thought and their own reasoning/tactics

I would have liked to see a fight in the air and sea in the same fight. Also maybe one with no HUD so you have to really find each other to incentivize going into the water. You could pick designated starting points that are relatively close so there is not a huge lull in "content".
This is a race idea: someone is going to make a range of different cars which would be parked at different parts of the racetrack while the human missiles try to destroy all cars and slow them down or potentially stop them from winning
Video Idea: How about a 1v3 where the big plane/spaceship hybrid has to fly away in space and they can also enter planets with atmosphere and the smaller ones have to stop it

there is a glitch that rquires about 10 power cores and can go across the grid map in under 30 seconds so if you do this make sure that is addreseed
