In the future, you can add just one panel, set the logic input to connect to it, and then copy it around. As long as you paste the copy to a valid connection point, it'll retain the original block inputs.
Hey Yzuei, I thought it might be worth pointing out that the point of retroreflectors is to bounce as much light directly back to the observer/light emitter, like road signs do, which would make you super visible rather than invisible. What you've done is counter-illumiination, which is done by some squid and other sea animals (like the firefly squid en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watasenia_scintillans) and is the process of producing light (especially coloured light) to blend into a bright background. This was experimented with during the second world war with technology called Yehudi lights (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yehudi_lights), but afaik is not in active use now.
Trailmakers should add a logic page for building. Like something you can access while in build mode to open specifically for that build and have it lay out like a circuit board. It would be huge to have a visual connection to see it do it's thing. It could even have a test run to see it work before putting it in the build.
I love this idea. Logic was so difficult for me for the longest time because of the lack of visualization. I adapted and just use lights to know when specific things are happening, but LBP2 had me spoiled with how easy they made Logic Gate usage.

id make a suggestion to do a video of a derby, it was very fun seeing the last one, but you could increase the block limit and make a bigger build, like big trucks derby or something
that's a cool concept but that's not what retroreflective panels are, retroreflective means it returns light back where it came from, it's what they use in road signs to make them so reflective

If that thing actually used them it would be the least stealthy thing in existence especially if the coating worked on radar too. The mirrored ones look very weird and not at all like what you have there, still interesting premise.

With radar systems and whatnot, though, it's useless in practice, since spotters are far beyond obsolete. Plus a lot of planes are just super fast and agile, a man-operated anti aircraft emplacement would be equally as useless as blue paint on the underside of a modern stealth plane.

Couldn't you get the same effect by just using a few hinges with blocks attached on the outside? And then stick the panels on those blocks again. I think the build would look almost the same, but far less complexity. Anyway, cool plane ;)
redo this with the new logic blocks, maybe? should be easier now with the measurement options, maybe? now you really can replicate the background of the plane, while flying by a mountain for example or something?
what if you made Something like Scrapmans orbital canon, but with those retro reflective Panels to make it invisible. Almost like a alian flying saucer.
I tried to do something like this inn stormworks, but the sky color appears darker when you are flying high than when you are on the ground, and im not sure how far the screen renders. So i didnt finished it
This is not what retro reflection is... It's actually like those road signs that light up from further away than the surrounding area. (Technology Connections has a video on it) Still a good video though!
Retro reflective panels are not what is in the video, retro reflectors is the defenition of anti stealth, bouncing ALL radar beams back to the emmitter exactly, that’s why they are used on street signs and bikes, what is in the video is called active camouflage, using cameras and displays to display an image through the object
Imagine not being able to do those hyper specific outputs since you play on xbox (and yes trailmakers is on xbox) the lowest output you can get on xbox version is 0.10, and the smallest angle on a hinge Is 5° which is really annoying sometimes.
thats.. not what retroreflective means? but dope build nonetheless! retroreflection is when a ray is bounced back at the same angle it enters so thats things like bike reflectors and street signs. they have a lot of interesting properties but stealth is not one.. in fact stealth jets meticulously avoid any geometry that could cause retroreflection of radar waves back to the sender to stay hidden

They need to add a sort of colour sensor that converts colours into a signal strength so you can go camouflaged automatically with the light displays

A brave try, but might still lose to flying in Space in a Spaceship painted entirely Black, Chromed, and glowies left outta the design.
Every radar system within 2half a cubic radian of where you're flying that plane:

You can make a short range radar with hue panels and distance sensors

if you want to get it to be seen from further away try painting the plane, assuming you won't use logic to change the hue of the panels

For space camo paint neon collorable light all blacked out and glass pane, it will reflect the stars and sky so you dissappear
