Retired Quality Engineer here, Denny is right, every fuel cell holds a different amount of fuel - the difference might be small enough that you don't care about it (like 0.00001 ounces) and you need a good enough measurement system to see those differences. An example, sometimes a set of tires do not handle the same as the previous set, although they all meet the spec.

I hate to give up some one's strategy secrets, but it isn't a mystery how you can get 20-30 more laps of fuel. The secret is to give up some track position to make it to the end of the race, and account for cautions. The last two, 2 tire pit stops that Logano made, the fueler added one or two more gallons of fuel than the competition that was worried only about track position for the restart. Paul Wolf had figured how much fuel the competition would need and added extra for the 22 car. The long shot strategy that works sometimes. Plus, the 22 car became faster after the last two pit stops. Everyone needs to quit crying about being out foxed, it happens to the best. I don't think the 22 wanted the last two cautions either.

The 11 has cost the 5 at least 3 maybe more W's by "racing for the win, which is whatever it takes.". Little to no drivers code. Larson may run people hard, he does not wreck people to win. He has run second instead of "whatever it takes to win." The 11 has forced Larson to give him the business to save face with his team. 11 can dish it, but can't take it. Denny has shown anytime it's racing for the win, kyle should do whatever it takes to try and win; if not make sure Denny does not win. Owes the 11 @ least 2 or 3 more. Denny wants to escalate it, because he's here for the long haul: outstanding big boy. See the 5 has a ring and you don't. You two figure it out, and race each other with a little more respect you will both have an opportunity for him to get his second or you your first. Keep this pissing match up, you guys going to tear up a lot of stuff. He'll still have one, and you will be in the running with Mark Martin for the best to never win one. Difference he had a driver's code.

Giving Larson less room to work with is not the same thing as literally running into other cars (not saying Hamlin hasn't done that btw ik it has happened) but for this weekend, Larson did it mid race, then went way too hard after a restart and took out another driver. We knew it was basically impossible to get around cars here so Larson restarting behind Hamlin, he wasn't racing for the win at that point he was just trying to hit Hamlin and missed overdriving it. Then immediately at the restart he caused another caution ruining even more drivers days. Both drivers are competitive with each other no doubt. But this weekend was all Larson's actions. Maybe next weekend will be Hamlin causing some chaos, who knows!

He wants to be you of course he wants to beat everybody else as well but he wants to be you specifically every race and it is awesome for NASCAR. We need more of this. we need more of the Dale Earnhardt Versus Terry Lonnie versus Darrell Waltrip versus Rusty Wallace, you know we need more of that in NASCAR. We need more of things like that in all the sports rivalries are great for sports not fake made up ones but real rivalries danny embrace it have fun with it. 11 is smarter about timing than 5 . Things will be chill for weeks or months, no issue between them and then out of the blue, near the end of a race, 11 will use up 5 such as New Hampshire I believe it was. 11 has done this multiple times in the past towards the end of races. 5 will get fed up as he should, and will do it at the end of stage 1 the next week or something ignorant such as Nashville but it doesnt makeup for what the 11 did because of timing. 5 needs to be smarter about when to return the gesure, hold it in his pocket until it can be returned the same way it was served, the end of a race. Trust me, 11 would be pissed to receive the same end of race treatment. A dose of 11s own medicine needs to happen. 5 spotter was right on and that is how you do it. Either we race clean all the time, if youre going to do this to me and then trust me, youll get it back the same way and as the season goes on, the fear of never winning a championship will eventually cause 11 to quit that crap.

I love the fall off tire aspect because when the tires don’t fall off, they don’t show where and all that it just makes everything even on track Cruise strategy and things like that are part of the race part of NASCAR but these tires that last hundreds of laps, not having to change right side tires for 3/4 of the race is ridiculousit’s taking it out of the Coochie heads and the pit crew hands. In my opinion you need to get these guys more involved in the race more often other than freaking ridiculous stage ending pitstops.

The difference between the 5 and the 11. The 5 typically admits when he makes a mistake. The 11 refuses to acknowledge his own accountability and blames everyone else for the incident. It’s not a result of a competitive mind but a flawed one. Likely a contributing factor to his lack of championships. Now utilizing his platform to campaign and spreading the narrative that the 5 is a “dirty driver”. Forgetting that we all watched this develop and witnessed Denny initiate this “rivalry” especially last season which was certainly birthed from talent envy. Bush had an incident with the 5 but when you watch an interview the week prior KB literally state that the 5 never raced him with overreach. Also stating the 5 was trying to “dump” him in that restart is incredibly pretentious with a delusional interpretation of facts. He was certainly loading up on the 11 throughout entry / center when he fought the apron and lost the rest of the nose but never twisted the 11. Denny would have been sideways while the 5 washed up if that was the end intent. Denny has become to soft as a driver but only when being raced by others. He also lacks all humility. Dennys success in life stems from privilege and opportunity nothing like the trail of the 5 which was built solely on talent. Imagine if the beginning of Dennys career would have been with a team like chip ganassi rather then the elite team he landed. He’s entire prestige was established from the team advantage during a time when it was so important for dominance. Denny has been tainted with privilege that’s amplified he’s talent on his behalf. However, he’s talent isn’t universal and not nearly as versatile and proven as his rival. The 5’s dominate performance during his championship year tells us what would have happened if Larson would have been in HMS or JGR level of equipment during the old generation era. He’s probably have 5 plus championships while Denny still searched for his. This is due to a delta on raw talent. Denny has a difficult time accepting that the 5 is simply more talented. It eats at him and effects his ability to race him appropriately. Denny just can’t due what we’ve witnessed Larson do across so many disciplines of Motorsports. He’s in fact scared to try and is why he will never start into a real race car. Denny is the rich kid in school whom fails to understand the privilege of his life and the circumstances that lead to his extremely pompous lifestyle.
Denny loves to cry about the races he would have or should have won if things went differently, yet he would have lost wins if the sand was said by other drivers. He’s states would be buried by the “what if’s” of countless other drivers whom also should have won races. Every racer in the industry and world has a list of these races.
