The Indy car race through Baltimore a couple of years ago was cool. I can only imagine Stock cars there would be better. Those Indy cars are fragile, Stock cars are made for banging in the corners.
NASCAR is finally realizing why F1 has been the pinnacle of Motorsports for decades. Road races with challenging environmental conditions are what showcase great racing and great drivers.
Mike Bagley was not part of the MRN broadcast this week, but I agree. I've been listening to the radio broadcast over TV for a couple years now. I'm not going to try to convince anyone of anything, but I recommend that if you haven't to try listening to the radio one race.

I was there general admission. The rain was cool to me. Nothing like rain in the Windy City with cars flying by. Can’t wait for next year going to start saving up for the vip pass.
So many people have called for SVG to get more experience on ovals in Xfinity before transitioning to Cup.. Yet he's still able to pass guys and consistently finish in the top 15 on ovals without crashing and taking people out.. Unlike these so called best drivers in the world who can't keep their car underneath them when the roads wet. Now ya'll gonna cry.. 'they have no experience in the wet" Well now you know what SVG is up against and the stella job he's doing with no experience on ovals, but he's doing a much better job than these top tier cup guys by not crashing, not taking others out and finishing races. Edit: Oh btw.. How good is street racing hey! So entertaining 👍
Right, road is not a high priority nore should it be. This race is definitely fun and entertaining but we don't need more road courses, id rather not change another thing in NASCAR.........
Most all Nascar fans love SVG and his skill on road courses. He's finishing top 20 on ovals in the Xfinity series, where the talent is much lesser than Cup. He's getting a lot better at ovals and I agree he should be in a cup car next year full time. No need to defend SVG in TH-cam comments, he is well loved

Eh, I don’t blame briscoe. It’s rainy conditions, he locks it up, and he happens to run into SVG. Not necessarily a bad mistake, although it’s still a mistake. It’s just an unfortunate incident for SVG

It looks like he was thinking he could either take out the car in front like Briscoe, and himself, or he could just take himself out. And he made the decision to take himself out. I don't think he was expecting to clip the other car, sent him almost straight into the concrete barriers, but I respect the decision behind it.
@@tylerrogers3263 Plus these low profile tires behave much differently than the ones still used in Xfinity. Once a low profile tire starts to skid, you are just along for the ride because it's not gripping any time soon.

I normally hate road races, but that was one the best races I've seen in a while. Took me back reminded me of the old formula 1 movie when they were racing at Monaco.

I know that this race is fundamentally a shot NASCAR is taking at bringing in F1 fans, but if the racing is consistently this entertaining, I’m 100% okay with the pandering. This was a banger of a race.

Not a lot of experience with these cars in these conditions. With the amount of times racing in the rain has happened in NASCAR, it's a fairly novel concept.

The novelty of the Chicago street race has worn off. Nascar needs to return to Daytona over the 4th of July week and give us some some high speed racing.

Whenever they include the MRN calls in these, it becomes immediately apparent how much of a higher level they're on than the TV announcers

Most racing series that race in the rain have traction control and abs. It makes a huge difference.
