I am so grateful for these videos right now! With Covid-19 outbreak going on there are no options for birth classes at my hospital. Watching these has definitely given me knowledge, and a feeling of empowerment that I didn’t have, and thought I may miss out on. The instructor is fantastic. She has a very calm and soothing way about her.

These classes have greatly helped me because in my country "Uganda " they have don't have such birth classes and it seems like you can't discuss much of the options with the health care providers. You life is at thier mercy here. But I hope I will get a good private and well equipped hospital which will be flexible.

I am so thankful for these classes it is helping my peace of mind because I can not go to classes because of COVID-19 going on. I love how the instructor explains things so simply I can understand easily. I feel like I’m in the room with all of them. Great videos I’m so grateful for these! ❤️

These are great informational videos. I have had 3 children and have gone through 2 series of birthing classes. These videos are extremely detailed and I love the helpful visual aides. The best visual was the sock type one that showed contractions and dilation. Wish I had gone through this childbirth education series before my births.

Women who look like me often get coerced into C sections that aren't needed. I'm terrified of this. Also for women who look like me the recovery times are longer and more difficult. I was C section (transverse, month late) when I was born in 1984.
I just don't know how to prevent the coercion. I need advocacy.

      I feel for you 💜
Education is huge. With being as educated as you possibly can be, they can't coerce you into anything you do not give them consent for. Look up Nurse Zabe here on youtube. She has great content. Also look up Evidence Based Birth. If you arm yourself with that, you will have the upperhand as a patient. If you have time, find a provider that most closely aligns with your birth preferences. Also, check to see if there are doula programs in your area that specifically serve and advocate for vulnerable populations. Praying you recieve the support and care every single patient deserves 💜

Here in Africa we have more C-SECTIONS and they say if your blood pressure is high you are quickly put on C-SECTION

That’s done here in the USA also if blood pressure is high because of preeclampsia , but we have a lot of c sections because women chose to have them an don’t want a vaginal birth also

Thanks for the great information. One question, how is the afterbirth delivered after a c-section?
