      And i am definitely going to try these ways for my lower back pain. Thank you so much Ms. Bridget, you have been so helpful throughout my pregnancy... Love you 😘!

    In summary:
    1) sit straight so baby's spine curves against belly and not your spine. Don't cross your legs.
    2) lean forward on a yoga ball on your hands and knees.
    3) forward lean inversion off the couch. A sort of downward dog using the couch.
    4) Through the hole stretch
    5) pelvic tilt or cow position ( don't dip your spine down)

    I'm an old woman now with a daughter in law who's about to give me my first grandbaby. I am so excited!!!
    I loved EVERYTHING about pregnancy. I was so excited I didn't even mind the vomiting. I was an RN and I didn't like work. I loved nursing but the smells you deal with as a nurse, argh, it was hard to feel like your're going to puke all day at work and I just could not do some jobs!! My favorite thing was always feeling my baby move inside me and i loved knowing I was growing a baby inside my belly!!!!

  • @girlsix79
    @girlsix79 5 ปีที่แล้ว +118

    I wish I had seen this before!! I gave birth for the first time two months ago, in a few hours of labor I was fully dilated but I had to wait a very long time for my baby boy's head to reach the right position... I was severely in pain, (they gave me oxytocin to empower my contractions) and been told I had to wait and there was nothing I could do to help the process, so I was loosing strength and confidence, thought I was lost! 😢 At 7 am my gynecologist said I had three hours to avoid the c section but after a while suddenly everything changed, I was told the head finally went down and luckily at 9.43 my boy Bruno was born ❤️

    • @girlsix79
      @girlsix79 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@teejay5432 they didn't explain that to me, I guess it was because I had been almost 12 hours laboring and my baby could be suffering, or maybe they just needed the operating room for somebody else at a certain point ;) Anyway the pressure worked but I couldn't help tearing very badly and episiotomy too, two years and half later, I'm still uncomfortable with that, it heavily affected my sexual life and my confidence in my body. So I really wish I knew these techniques, even if every birth is different

Gravity is everything, trust your body completely and focus on the breathing: that was my strategy. These are all awesome. I'm 33 weeks and dealing with a babe who likes doing somersaults... Every time I try to find baby's head it's in a different spot. LOL I turned my last one while in labor using the pelvic tilt.. Spinning babies is such a huge help. The 'through the hole' position has been helping my hip pain-I'm too short to sit in any of our chairs with my feet flat on the floor so I sit for awhile, use the birth ball as a chair for awhile... Probably every hour or so I'm changing positions because I'm hurting... Unless my 2 year old needs cuddled. Pro tip, don't do forward leaning aversion with a toddler awake lol. Thanks for the video, somebody else explaining how to do some of these positions is always helpful.

    • @HypnobirthingWithAnja

      Hi Dulasene, I'm Anja and I thought I would answer your question. I recommend that these exercises be started towards the end of the third trimester so around the 33/34 week mark. This is especially useful if you are trying to encourage your baby to get head down ready for birth. xxxxx

    What’s the difference between the content you put on TH-cam and the services your program offers?

    • @HypnobirthingWithAnja
      @HypnobirthingWithAnja 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi honey, I think the purpose of her course is so it is all in one place and arranged in a certain order so you can work through things more methodically. Many TH-cam channels with lots of videos will be giving away their course content for free but over a long period of time. If you have the course you would have all the info straight away rather than potentially miss out on any information. For example, on my pregnancy and birth TH-cam channel, mine is pretty new, I also do videos about how to prepare for labour and birth, pain relief, breathing techniques etc. Over time, I guess I will give all my content away for free on TH-cam but if someone wanted to access my online course before I have created all the videos, they could learn everything straight away. xxxxx

    With the forward leaning inversion, if your baby is already head down but not yet engaged, will this cause them to flip into a breech position? I’m only asking because my baby was breech(head up) a few weeks ago and it was recommended I do the inversion to get him to be head down. I just want to make sure I’m not undoing anything, if that’s makes sense. I know that probably sounds crazy. Haha

I had a c section with my last baby and they did not mention to wear compression socks, as I’ve been reading on different births wear compression socks.
