*Neel must be loved and protected AT ALL COSTS!* My hands were holding my heart throughout half of this episode, and 70% of that was for Neel being the biggest sweetheart in the galaxy. And honestly we need more people with that level of kindness and empathy in the real world.
I feel like this episode has one important piece of setup. The At Achrann is a cookie-cutter copy of At Atin, and it has a giant turret defense system, which means At Atin has one too. That's going to come into play when the kids need to defend At Atin from pirates in the end.
I have a theory....it could be bunnies. But seriously, I think that SM-33's former captain wanted to hide his treasure hoard, and where better than on a lost planet?

My first impression of this episode wasn't the best for similar reasons as you felt. The plot with adults and kids felt a little weird. What made me come around it was the idea that this series (even if it doesn't pay off like that) feels like a bedtime story that Wim's dad would be telling him to sleep. Even if it isn't the case, it could be something like The Hobbit: here's a cute story told by the point of view of an innocent character, as if Neel or Wim were the writer of these stories. So I ended up enjoying it after all. Different from you guys, I found the droid twist at the end amazing, I really enjoy it! And the "Jod saves the day" trope also works if you consider all these stories a bedtime story... Anyway, just an idea. It won't be it anyway, and if it came to be, haters would love to trash it. But to me it would be great!
It feels like they're taking the onion approach to this show. Each show peels back another layer, getting us closer to the core mystery. It's a bit like how serialised novels used to work, like Gulliver's Travels. Layers, or chapters, won't all have the same amount of dramatic heft, but will all play a part in the end. Also, this show was 'in the can' long before the founding of Neel Nation, so they might not have realised how popular he would become.
I knew this was gonna be one of the best episodes of Star Wars because the directors (The Daniels) are the same geniuses who made Everything Everywhere All At Once. I didn’t expect to love it THIS FREAKING MUCH! These men need to be given a Star Wars movie with their choice of plot and setting, and give them a blank check.
I feel that all the other reaction channels totally enjoyed this episode as I did and you guys were looking for something that wasn't meant to be. The reason you were disappointed was because you had wanted something else that YOU had in mind to happen. Tsktsk.
Best chapter so far, and still some people can't enjoy it as it is, it showed Neel's growth defending his friends and showing Haina that things can be done with kindness, also it showed that all planets are made the exact the same as n experiment, it showed that Jod cares a little for the kids, and finally showed that SM has a lot to do with their planet... But not everybody can enjoy the story, maybe some zombies can appear for no reason and be funnier😂😂, hope you enjoy next one better

The tower is located in Hattan territory, so it was considered deadly to get through. Jod striking the deal gave them some time to get to the tower.
