Hopefully a little motivation for you. From my perspective, success is not defined by monetary gain or vanity. Rather, living a life filled with happiness and quality. So many have sacrificed everything to build and maintain the foundation of this country that allows us to pursue happiness and freedom. We must live in their honor, so please do not forget that if your journey leads to you a dark place, it's okay to ask for help from your brothers and sisters. Be courageous, choose life.

And I want to start a business too like you with article 15. I just think it's so awesome how a person who works hard enough can achieve anything! Drake Moore If you have a shitty environment now dont let it get you down. As soon as you enlist the world can change for you. You can be stationed overseas, deploy to Afghanistan or maybe soon back to Iraq. You can get a TON of GI Bill money and VA housing loans when you get out. Pick the right MOS and you can get contracting work after your enlistment is up. I made crazy money contracting in OIF & OEF, have a house in a nice subdivision and some land in the mountains that i bought in cash after i got back. I have two gun safes full of guns and I dont care about how much ammo costs when i go shoot.
Keep your eye on the prize, keep your record clean (a must for clearance jobs) and study hard, fuck the rest.

Drake Moore, I've said this to more than one young person who has asked for my advice, concerning enlistment in the military.
I've asked them to look around and tell me what they see. Responses were normally, houses, trees, grass etc.
I would agree and say that what you see are natural and man-made objects. Objects that you would see in the majority of the world. But these items are in the United States of America, the greatest country that God has ever allowed to exist.
Understand that the ONLY reason this space of the earth remains the United States of America, is our military.
Without our military being as strong and ready as it is, any country with a able military could cross one of our borders and take it away from us and our children. And there is a lot of countries that would love to take it.
The Constitution can't stop them, our politicians damn sure won't. Even our citizenry as armed and willing as it is. Would probably be overwhelmed over time, against a mechanized military with enough support.
Only our military, which is made up of only 1% of our population. People who are willing to devote a portion of thier lives to serve thier country
I believe that it is the responsibility of every able body person, living here, who are reaping the benefits, great or small, afforded everyone living here to server in her defense. However, reality is one a few will step up.
So the question is, will you fill those ranks or will you be willing to sit back and let someone else do your work for you?
In your case, all I can say is thank you for being one of those few.

Mr. Best, I would enjoy to shoot along side you. I would even bring my own weapons and ammo. But most of all, I would love to hear your stories. My father (my hero) served during the Vietnam War. He is now just telling me about his time over there. And after each story, I can see some relief in his eyes. He has some regret raising a family during his career in the military. Matt, I served 24 yrs and retired 13 yrs ago. Didn't see the kind of action most of you SO types did but as an Air Force guy we had and have your backs in a squeeze. I see, many days, fellow vets hurting in silence. And it goes without saying the government doesn't fully appreciate the sacrifices. I believe my wife and kids probably gave up more than I did. Just the instability of moving every couple years did irreparable harm to the family structure. But they did get more world culture than most would ever be able to. I ended up @ 90% dv. Doesn't matter why really. Just part of the service. Whenever I see a fellow vet I do my best to to make sure they know I know........and we are a bonded force with unique experiences. We are family.

On a more serious note. This is an awesome motivational video. Just what I needed to hear. I started trying to get myself back in shape after gaining a lot during my wife's deployment. The first half of the day went really well but the second part sucked. My wife was supposed to come back from Afghanistan tomorrow but I found out that the flight back was postponed. I let this get me down and I lost sight of my goals. Thank you for opening my eyes again. I'm going to go hit these weights and end the day on a positive note.

I needed that, thank you. Last 3 months have been hell for me, finally have a job, after being flat broke for that time. And battling Severe Depression as well. Which in itself, has been a challenge. Yes, that radio show is true, the VA was so fuckin backlogged, (I have friends and family that served) that the returning servicemen and women have had to wait almost a year if not longer to be seen. Reason why they were backlogged, they didn't expect that many to return. Much less return screwed up. In need of long term care. Btw I told my sweetie about your channel, he told me he loves them and agrees with and understands alot of what you say. He is also a veteran, USMC.

This reminded me of when my mother passed away last year all I wanted to do was give up on trying to walk through life.But my I know that thats not what my mom would have wanted and in a odd way it inspired me to keep pushing and make every day my bitch. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life until this year I decided wanted to be a Firefighter EMT my mother was a nurse for 21 years and that really helped me decided I wanted to do this . Even right now i have things that are trying to hold me back and they could change my life if they go the wrong way so thanks Mat watching this reminded me that no matter what happens in life never give up keep moveing and keep your head up. also i cant wait to see rang 15 its going to be the shit !!

Yeah. Australian veteran suicides have exceeded our fallen in Afghan. Response? Australian government cuts $100million from veteran affairs as the war comes to an end for our country.
Definitely needs to be more work done with veteran families so that we can stop this. Veterans often don't seek help until they're really hurting. It's families and friends who can see the signs earlier if they're taught what to look for.
Write to your governments. Protest. Get our countries fixed.

I come back to this alot if I ever meet mat I'm buying him a bottle of leadslingers I remember two years ago I was wasted nodding off taking a shit at 2 am this rolled through TH-cam and fate hit me like a wall between mat and idk if it was God's plan or just TH-cam's algorithms but it went to the reflection then the brotherhood video and by the time I was done I felt real broken I realized how bad I had been failing myself and those around me I was at work by 4 am and I haven't worked less that 12 hours a day 6 week since he has turned me into a grind machine like no other I no longer feel crushed by the weight of supporting a family I've gotten my dream work truck I'm working on the house for the wife and before I take a vacation I plan to help build a house for charity if at all possible and I wouldn't have ever turned down the path if it was for mat and the black rifle boys making this video and good coffee .....so here's to you brotha idk if you'll see it but if your in Colorado hit me up I owe ya a bottle at the very least you've served and continue to give after the fact it's good work you do man keep it up

I was told I would never be able to serve because of my mild cerebral palsy and it crushed me because my dad is a vet and my brother is active duty. I never thought of my self as disabled weather it was out of pride or defiance to it but I really felt like it after the recruiter told me I could not at the same time I was half way through my first wrestling season I was struggling and it was even harder after that then my friend sent me a motivational video link and after that I saw this and i trained harder and harder because of it helped me realize that I can let that bad news stop me or I can get up and get back to finding a way to make my self better and more then what my disability made me. so I joined cross country and started training.
