    I bought an Avenir Envista 2 weeks ago. Love it. Plenty of power and I was concerned. It's a winner for me. Everyone stops me and asks what is that. Love it.

      What has been your experience not having a rear glass wiper?

    • @capt.clydearnold126
      @capt.clydearnold126 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wesgrooms1215 I use a product called TopCoat F11 and I polished the back glass. Hasn't been an issue for me. I had a Malibu before and I'd say its about the same as a car without wipers.

      Same here. I have people ask if it's a Cadillac or Ev. Everyone thinks I paid 40 or 50k. Some of them are actually car guys.

      Any issues with the engine being only a 1.2 l? How’s the acceleration and highway driving?

    I bought this exact model, color, and interior and I absolutely LOVE this vehicle! Everyone is very surprised with the Buick pedigree!

    Plenty of power for me. Also I live in the south, no snow, so back window so far no problem with no windshield wiper. Same with no all-wheel, not needed for me. I do love it so far. People have been asking me what is that? It’s beautiful! It’s happened as I was pumping gas and people walking by. Sometimes I feel it has a flutter noise in the engine going to have it checked out, but car runs beautifully.

    Without an AWD option I would ask how effective the traction control would be on snow. The traction control on my 2018 Encore is quite helpful on light to moderate snow.

  • @matthewnaughtin3880
    @matthewnaughtin3880 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    No AWD because Buick wants to keep it lower cost to get people in them. Swap for snow tires in winter and the FWD is just fine. AWD will be option in the future models. Put a tune on motor if more power needed. Other than that, this is a sharp vehicle

    Looks really nice although I hate the pinstripe on it makes it look cheap….no rear wiper is a fail also in Canada we need that!

    I think it is the best looking subcompact SUV. The Honda HRV looks like a mudskipper.

    I test drove one and it was way peppier than I expected. My only concern is thst it was built in Korea.

      Believe Me all my Hyundai's were built in Korea and not 1 problem with all 5 of them that i owned. This Car is awesome to drive!

    Like it a lot except for 3 issues on the exterior. #1, not sure about that chrome trim that sticks out on the two sides high near the roof/hatch? #2, really hate that chrome trim bumper piece on the rear end? Just paint it the same as the body. #3, a tape stripe along the sides?? Was that a dealer add on? My 1977 Pontiac Gran Prix had that 😅.

  • @jtjt8331
    @jtjt8331 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Several issues:
    1) Buick a GM poor quality
    2) three cylinder, not gonna cut it
    3) blinkers on the bumper are difficult to see it.
    Good for those whose only focus is fuel economy, and who trades in the car is every three years for simply reliability reasons. My preference is extremely reliable car, so I only go with Toyota or Lexus.

    These vehicles can not stay on the lot. They keep getting sold. I'm trying to test drive a Sport Touring. I was lucky to test drive a Preferred the week they came out. The ground clearance is a little bit lower than I would like, but the Sport Touring and Avenir have bigger tires. So I'm hoping that will give it a little bit more the lift. I may end up with one if I can't get the dealership to come down on another vehicle I've got my eyes on. I wouldn't discourage anyone from the Envista they are nice. My only complaint is that dealerships are adding pin stripe to them. I don't really care for it. If you order ahead, they won't put it on when the car arrives, so theres that at least.

      @stevens1646 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the Preferred trim is the best bargain at just over $24K with Adaptive CC, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Traffic Detection (three must haves for me). If you get any color besides Summit White, add $500-$1100 (really Buick?). The other two trims are too close in price to a Mazda CX-5 S which you can buy for around $28K with the same safety/convenience features mentioned plus AWD and proven reliability. Just my 2 cents.

    Beautiful vehicle. I would be pretty suspicious of the 3cyl. Turbo. How will it be at 50000+ mi?
    Since their is no AWD, but with 9, or so inches of clearance ... I'd lower it and call it a "car!"

    So if there is a "Teen Driver" mode which probably adjusts the maximum speed to 65 or so, is there a "Boomer Driver" mode which adjusts the entertainment to "NO Rap or Hip Hop" ?

      That would be the lane assist and collision detection system. Now all it needs added on is a stop sign warning

    This is basically the American version of the Prius. It’s meant to save fuel without sacrificing space or engine if you don’t want to go ev. Yes it’s slower than a electric scooter but the hp is still impressive out of a engine that small and it’s not a cvt. A 1,5 turbo 180 hp 8spd would look better on paper

    • @danny51577
      @danny51577 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but equal to or more powerful than a lot of the entry level crossovers on the market.
      And most of the other 130hp affordable small SUV or crossovers are mated to an 8 speed, which I would steer clear of
