I decided to create the California feeling, here in Toronto, and practice outside in the backyard. Sun is shining. Could imagine myself anywhere. I liked the slow-down pace of the class to focus on some mechanics of breath, opening up the sides and backs of the ribs and a new way of opening up my collar bones without popping the ribs out. Despite the slow pace, I felt I got a well-rounded workout in nature today. As always Tim, thank you for your wisdom and guidance. Until next time...
Hi Tim - I'm celebrating my 40th birthday today and I started my morning with this class. It was EXACTLY what I needed. I really appreciated how you built each pose slowly by focusing on the key muscles we should be engaging during each pose. having students get comfortable with that, and then building out from there. I was much more mindful as I moved into each pose because of it. The final stretch felt amazing. Thanks for the great birthday present!

Hi Tim, there were so many great things about this class: too short shorts, thumb warmer, 'that's not all' stretching, but that setting...OMG, just breathtaking. Every new class with you is just better than previous. My dog this morning was much better, thanks to all this core work. After a crazy busy day, where I didn't have time to do a morning practice, I was super grateful to see this pop into my inbox but boy, oh boy, that starting core work was definitely more than my Friday evening brain was imagining! Did me the world of good. I like the slightly longer holds (now I've finished) but I did find myself wondering if my screen had frozen once or twice :-) For you, I like a flow then longer restorative work towards the end but honestly, I'll enjoy it whichever way it goes. This was a wonderful class! I do prefer your teaching and doing the yoga or having only one person practicing rather than a group. The group class was too much busy-ness in that lovely calming space. As for the yin classes, I like both types you described.
What I most loved about this sequence was that I took notice of my rib cage in ways I had not done before. And it was not immediately, the first exercise putting the arms up and over, I couldn't quite get it... But then, bit by bit, it's like I was learning a new language; when I did my downward dog, I felt the difference or was just being forward again. Of course, lavasana and all that is much easier this way. Also, focusing on the core helped me release the goal of stretching beyond even though I couldn't strain to get there. It's better to get it all in a balanced, integrated way. Thanks, TIM! Your explanations are so crisp, and you also made them funny; I love that you can let yourself be in these videos; I have been practicing with you mostly to learn details (Iyengar style) of where how my body is connected with my mind and soul... since 2020, probably... Thanks, again
Great class, very mindful core practice that looks rather innocent , but really provides a deep and challenging workout! I love that you never rush the pose or the exercise and there is plenty of progressions ... I will keep this one on repeat for sure!!!
Fabulous! I have missed doing yoga the last few days as I have a new puppy that requires constant supervision! I managed to get him in his crate for an afternoon nap and I got to do yoga! It was a wonderful break! Thank you!

Tim- I love all the core you add to your lessons. I would never do any types of abbs workouts because it use to be very hard, but following your lessons I build up more strength in my core ❤️❤️

Tim- I love all the core you add to your lessons. I would never do any types of abbs workouts because it use to be very hard, but following your lessons I build up more strength in my core ❤️❤️
