    Today's video starts with a brief seated meditation to help to take us inward and then goes into a dynamic warm-up, followed by a well-balanced mix of strengthening exercises and poses for the whole body, finishing with some deep stretches and hip openers. This is a strong and challenging class.

    Today's class kicked my butt!
    One thing though, I prefer it when we do the boat poses last because when we don't and then go back to down dog, I've already sweated all over my mat and my feet tend to slip 😅😂
    Anyway, your classes are what's keeping me sane during this pandemic. Thank you so much Tim! ❤️🥰

    This video of total power burn is definitely not for beginners or anyone who has not done any yoga or who has quite a bit of joints inflexibility issue. The transition of movement is too fast. And quite a few of the movements or poses are very difficult to follow or achieved. Especially the pose which defies gravity (the one where you balance your whole body using only the hands with both legs above the ground), the pose that you transition from warrior 1 and lift one leg up from the ground .. this pose requires a person to have good knees and good balance, both of which I do not have.
    This video of yours causes discord and quarrel between my boyfriend and me. He was eager to follow your movements and scolded me for not achieving or struggling with the poses. He said I am too heavy / fat when I am only a size 6 (for bottom) and size 4 (for top). Definitely I am not a supermodel figure or size but neither am I fat! Hence your videos with the advanced poses caused many a quarrels.

    Great class. Looking forward to checking out the Yin version on the CMC. I also struggle with more than 3 Sun Bs. You had one class, maybe a live one, where you did the breathing count in sanskrit(?) and that was very soothing, so I tried to channel that to get me through. Loved the cues in down dog at the beginning to draw up through the wrist and ankle muscles.

    • @yogawithtim
      @yogawithtim  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Extremely well balanced class with a good amount of difficulty in the middle there. When doing the vinyasa warm ups, I find myself variating between all the warriors. Warrior 1 every time gets boring so I go to warrior two, and cresent as well. Unsure if anybody else does, but something easy to modify if you need to. Thanks again Tim!

    I already did tomorrow’s video, and i hadn’t taken this class yet so i get to like it although I did not enjoy all those sunsalutations at the beginning of the class very much 😅 I thought you were making a joke or that the video was looping but nope 😂 it was a great class non the less, thanks so much Tim!! :) See you soon ( i might take a third class with you today who knows, they make me feel so good! :) ). 🙏🏻

    I don't understand why you use the sun salutations as warm ups; those are tough, and repeated performances are murder on my wrists, no matter how much I spread the weight through my hands and lift off them. I know all the tricks, including wearing soft wrist braces for support. Using down dog repeatedly has a similar effect. I follow other yoga instructors who think more broadly and have me warmed up and challenge without the joint abuse, and I keep hoping you will broaden your scope too.
    You're such a good instructor, and I understand you are trying to help us build arm strength, but those of us with hyper elasticity will never have optimum strength in certain joints, especially those not meant to bear such weight as our bodies.

      I appreciate so much your feedback Brenda! I will definitely take it into consideration. Please, if there is a movement that doesn't feel right for you, don't do it. Yoga workouts can be challenging, but they shouldn't be painful.

    This was my first workout with you and is now one of my favorites ❤️ I have never watched a yoga video that challenged me as perfectly as this one. It made me feel like a warrior when I had completed it! You will never know how much content like this means to so many. Thank you thank you thank you for helping ignite a positive change in so many lives ☺️

    This was great! I love it. I wish only the pace was a bit slower. Changing between the poses sometimes is so fast that I’m afraid I do not put my body in the right position. I got a bit of knee pain now that I have done this video several times over the past 2weeks.

      This is a more advanced class, like if you went to a black belt class in Karate. You would need to start with the white belt classes and work your way up. I would suggest starting with my beginner series.
      I am healthy, but don't do Karate and If I went to a black belt karate class I would surely end up injured ;)

    Another of my favourite videos! Do you think that some people can not physically lift up their hips/legs from a seated position because their torso is too long and arms are too short? I honestly think it is impossible for me to do this!!

    I/ve been following your classes since the pandemic. This is so far my favorite class. All the flow poses are included, and they are not easy! My 94 year old dad has been watching this week and he said I'd continue to stay in great shape if I follow these practices. He was also impressed. Thanks so much! Frank
