I love your use of faux fur. As a newer crocheter, I find it intimidating, but these tips definitely make me want to try it even more. I love how you use it to accent your stockings; I think it really makes your design pop!
I just happened upon your channel today and I'm super impressed! I'm 30 years old and have been crocheting my entire life and I can't compete man, I am still a novice 😂 I would pick it up and put it down and rarely finish a project (hi, I have ADHD lol) but I've been learning and doing a whole lot more the last couple of years and actually finishing projects for a change and I can't wait to make your octopus (he'll be my first stuffed creation as well as arguably, the most complex project I've done so far so fingies crossed) and I am also so so glad you offer left handed tutorials as well!! One of my friends just started to learn but she's left handed and has had a hell of a time trying to find decent left handed tutorials and honestly, I tried to help her find some and, it is a STRUGGLE. So when I saw you offer both left and right handed guides, I sent her a link to your channel so fast! I hope you keep up the good work and thank you for doing what you're doing!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me! I am THRILLED that you found my channel. I have had several crocheters tell me that the octopus tutorial is their first animal (or even first project ever) so I have confidence you can do it, too! Tell your friend that I am actually left handed (I flip my videos to be right handed when editing) and always had the same struggle to find left tutorials!
@sweetcreekpatterns oh no way! That's awesome!! I'll definitely let her know!! It sounds like she's already started going through your videos so I'm pretty stoked that her and I can both do the same projects together! I'm 5 rows deep into the octopus now so we're coming along lol I appreciate your confidence in me, hopefully he turns out! Merry happy holidays and I look forward to the next project!! 😊
Thank you Emily, such useful tips, I am quite chuffed that I managed to work some of these out for myself already, but the rest made sense, once you told us. I mastered the art of using this type of wool by making lots of fluffy ghosts for Halloween 👻, I left them hollow and put battery tea lights inside, so any mistakes would have show up. I enjoyed making your granny stitch stocking too, using it! Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas 🎄
That stocking is by my friend Ashley from A Crafty Concept, here is the link: www.acraftyconcept.com/crafty-boho-stocking/ I have a dog bone and cat stocking that matches her pattern, here is the link: sweetcreekpatterns.com/crochet-dog-bone-stocking-pattern/

Thanks so much! I love working with faux fur too - it's definitely a fun, textural yarn to crochet with!
