    Thank you so much for this video. We were quoted over $700 to fix the heater in our 2015 Armada. The problem was exactly as-shown. We were able to use exactly what you show in the video and in less than 30 minutes under the hood we had it working 100% again. The small gear had backed out and it went right back in.

    Thank you for this video! My NV3500 stopped blowing hot all of a sudden and this ended up being the culprit.

    Man, that black spindle shaft is hard to keep in there. The whole unit is tilted down, so immediately falls out for me. I’m going to have to redo this as the little white part did walk up the shaft, however, my heat did not return after after I adjusted this.

    Hey 737mechanic, I have an overview of the A30M if you are interested in checking it out. It about the same at the D7 but without the key programming abilities.

    I have heat in the front... But not the back...could this be a problem?

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It posible it isn't opened all the way. That valve does control the flow of coolant through the front and rear heater cores but if it is only opened part way it may be letting enough go to the front and by the time the little that makes it to the rear gets back there it has cooled off.

    That black plastic part you said sometimes breaks at 14:10 ... what's that called or what part number is that? Mine is broken and I need to replace it. Or do I need to replace the entire control valve?

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't buy that by itself. You have to buy the entire heater control valve. amzn.to/3f0ZL8A

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably have a slow leak. Even with the valve in the heat position you should still get A/C.

    I'm not getting heat out my Nissan Titan, I checked the hoses that lead to the heat control valve and they are the same warm temp.

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may have a blend door stuck in the cold position. Could be a bad blend door actuator.

      @@737mechanic do you have a vid on how to check or replace it by chance?

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Texas713 I don't but one thing you could do is turn everything off to make the vehicle as quiet on the inside as possible and turn the key on and listen under the dash on both sides while you turn the temp control from cold to hot and see if you hear it running or moving. If you don't hear anything then that is something to look into.

      @737mechanic The only thing I don't know is, the AC blows very cold air while driving, but if you're at a stop light or parking lot for more than 3+minutes, the ac temperature slowly gets warmer and warmer. Not sure if all Nissan V8 trucks do that or not. My 2023 Genesis g70 3.3t doesn't do that. It constantly blows cold air even idled for a long time.

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kuvyoghmoobamelica6883 Make sure the fan is working. If you have electric fans make sure they are blowing on high, if you have a mechanical clutch fan make sure it is moving a lot of air when the engine is at idle.

    • @kuvyoghmoobamelica6883
      @kuvyoghmoobamelica6883 ปีที่แล้ว

      @737mechanic thanks will check in on that. Just thought I share what happened. AC air gets warmer while idle with spindle out or something. Not even sure if it had anything to do with the spindle being out lol. Thank you!

    • @737mechanic
      @737mechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kuvyoghmoobamelica6883 It sounds like you are not getting enough air through the condenser because the fan may not be working. When you are driving down the road there is plenty of air going through the condenser but when you are stopped the fans are the only thing pulling air through the condensor.
