    Thank god. I finally got rid of my two month permanent grey from no issues platinum blonde at home to the dumb suggestion from Sally’s to use a pure purple toner for a few minutes. My platinum turned DARK witch grey. So not only did I have shockingly dark hair but it was grey. Two months. No it isn’t wash out. Then they said well out dark blonde toner. Turned it grey again worse than before. This saved me. Perfect results.

    My dear you are a life saver 🙏 thank you! I had applied a Demi permanent on my roots and it turned out wayyy to dark, also my blonde pieces were affected by it. Did exactly your suggestion and went with the one to one ratio. Perfect and it got rid of the over tone and also brought up my root one level. If left longer it would of brought brought them up to 2 levels .. all say & done I’m happy with the result. And now I can see my highlights better.. where prior to the treatment they grasp some of that toner. Left on for approx 12 minutes.
    So happy I found your video. You got it girl!! The explanation was simple and easy to follow. Also, forgot to mention I used 20 developer 🙂🙏

    During covid I took myself from dark to blonde, when I started hitting those lighter shades of blonde I would do this but on dry hair and with conditioner! It worked exactly the same and was obviously a lot more conditioning. I’ve also recently used a color remover on my dark hair in my ends and it was more damaging than using bleach with a 20 volume. I ended up needing to take about an inch and a half off of my ends. Everyone’s hair is different, just gotta experiment and find what works for you :)

    Now I’m doing bleach bath. It went from red to copper in one wash. So I THINK bleach bath will help me get to where I wanna be.
    Normal hair color is almost exactly like yours in the picture. Mind you I’ve only been read since like two days ago, so I’m really pissed. I don’t know how she did it but she turned my hair green.

    could you do a video that shows how to get dimension out of hair color. most time dyes are just one color, not like natural hair that has different tones, how do you achieve a NATURAL color with dimensions, so like a brown that looks like it has bun kissed by the sun with notes of copper or gold ?

    • @brittneealexushair
      @brittneealexushair  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      FUN YES! I am writing this down but for now the easiest way to do this is to pick out a hair color that is one shade lighter with whatever tone you want (copper or gold) you will apply it foils around the middle of the head and color the rest of the hair the shade darker around the foils

    Sounds like something I could try, though I'm scared of bleach 'cuz I ruined my hair with it before. I'm thinking though, just to remove the remnants of the old dye before re-dying would be good, so I get a clear canvas. Or would Color B4 be better for that? Which is less damaging on fine hair?

      NOOO!!! I will be thinking of you this week and sending all the positive vibes, you don't deserve that at all. Coconut oil, grape seed oil or even olive oil masks slap it on towel dried or dry hair and put a bag over it (even a shopping bag will work) 15-20 minutes. shampoo & condition out. It will leave your hair a little greasy even after shampooing so would recommend doing it on a day you don't have to go anywhere for a couple days if that will bother you.

      if it’s just just a mild red tint you can use the bleach bath then put a brown color with ash over it. if it’s a lot of red, you can use a stripper- the stripper will uncover layer by layer every color that’s on your hair, you’ll rinse it out when it hits the color you want. you will still need to put a color over it- i hope that made sense?

    I did not know that about grey hair. I feel like hairdressers don't like natural grey hair - at least they don't talk about it much. I see some with gorgeous (natural) grey and then mine, kinda dull and flat. I'm at a loss for what can be done.
    I used to be a natural red. I miss having great hair.

    • @brittneealexushair
      @brittneealexushair  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is tough because no grey hair is the same, and it really fights the color. If you don't want to use a bleach bath before you color your hair, you can try just applying 20 volume developer on your grey to pre soften it. Nothing mixed in just straight 20 volume. Let is sit for about 15 minutes in a cap and make sure the room is not too cold but do not apply direct heat on it. Then rinse, shampoo, condition & dry and apply the color you want. Or if you don't even want to apply color, it will help soften the grey. Hope that made sense, and also thank you for joining me on this side of the internet also!!

    I accidentally dyed some bleached hair blue bc I used head and shoulders and left it on too long I guess. Fingers crossed that this works to get that out 😂

    You are right about the grey hair. Mine is dry and course and I dont like how it ages me and I want it healthy looking and to be healthy. I have grown out colour because my hair was falling out and thinning and also snapping off I dont know if that was because I was putting it up but even so it should not snap off for that. So for it to be healthy I left it natural but I need colour so I was thinking of doing a bleach bath in order to get all these semi permanants to stick they come natural and in crazy colours. With grey hair the colours are not coming out right too light and blonde ones are green. I dont know if you are a hairdresser but I can not find one single video or picture of a lady with natural grey hair having a bleach bath to see the difference see if it goes bright orange and see if it goes smooth. is it a good idea? I just think that will only be 10 or 20 volume and i can change my hair colour a lot and get it to stick but I am reticent because I have all this virgin hair I wouldnt want to ruin.

    Hi, would you mind doing a tutorial for how to use a ( reading and measuring ) hair coloring scale? And Ty for the tutorial!!!!!

      I'm sorry one more question do already have a tutorial on a ratio for using cream lightener and if not would you also demonstrate how to use the creme lightener. Would you prefer using a applicator bottle, applicator bowl, or a measuring hair breaker. Ty again!!!!

    Do not do this. It’s highly damaging and can cause breakage. Instead, use Color Oops, much safer and less harsh.

      I would agree it's highly damaging if you use 40 volume. Any time you remove color in any method you are risking the hairs integrity. Color Oops is a great product but this is comparable when using a low volume developer like explained.

      @@brittneealexushair but it’s not H202, it’s bleach, correct? That’s far more damaging than 40 volume H2O2.

      Except it says right on the Color Oops box that it's not meant for demi-permanent hair. It's for regular oxidative hair color. Not pinks, greens, blues or purples.
      I've tried it on my hair which was colorista indigo and faded to a mint green/pastel blue color. Didn't change the color at all sadly. So bleach bath it is! It's definitely still damaging but not as harsh as just bleach alone.
