      Now it would be actually just a small step away to save a whole channel as a preset that belongs to the audio source of the channel. Bitwig does this and I absolutely love this feature. I know in AUM you can import channels from other projects but giving it a name and that the presets are grouped by the synth that it contains makes it so easy to use and to find.

    • @JakobHaq
      @JakobHaq  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! However I’m curious to what it is that you want to do. Could you elaborate a bit more. There might be ways of reaching the end result you want with what’s already in AUM. I often make complex MIDI macros for my projects so that I can change stuff.

      @@JakobHaq I use AUM primarily for church and gigging. I guess I’m looking for a set list feature that seamlessly transitions between songs or part of songs (verse chorus bridge) sounds or settings within a session. I have used KeyStage in the past for my larger more rehearsed gigs but need something simpler like AUM for my weekly performances at church. Sunday Keys is in a closed beta and looks promising but doesn’t support AUV3. That program looks ideal but expensive. I vision this new feature like a shelf (similar to the on screen keyboard) with buttons that you would long press to save the state of all on the screen and rearrange. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

    About multicore processing, have you ever compared how many instances of a heavy auv3 can you run in AUM vs Cubasis? How much of difference does cubasis multicore processing makes?

    Thanks for a great video! Some clarification regarding the DSP Core Distribution in Node Statistics: What you're seeing is *not* that one CPU core is used for audio and one for UI. What it shows in your example is that iOS schedules AUMs audio thread mostly on two of your eight cores. Since it's single-threaded, it only runs on one core at a time, but it flips between them really fast (faster than your eye would see), so the graph shows the average over a time window of a couple of seconds. The graph shows *only* at which cores the audio thread is running, no other threads or UI code etc. Often, the last 2 or 4 cores are "high performance" cores, for devices with 4 or more cores.

    Thanks for so much helpful content in all your videos. Due to your Channel I startet building a portable Setup... using AUM and the 'Haq-University".
    And there is the question about the Fileplayer: is there a possibility to stop the playing file during play, and it stops at the end? Sadly, assigning the Loop on/off function in the fileplayermenu is not possible.
    Is there a other workaround for "patternchaining" the fileplayer

    Hi Jakob. Thanks for keeping us updated. Great nice and short video!
    Question: once you filled your AUM mixer with the different instruments, what sequencer do you use to send them the midi?
    Update: I just saw that you already made an entire video, just to answer this question 😂So no need for an answer anymore.
    I only would like to add that using Korg Gadget as a sequencer and AUM as a mixer, works quite well. It also avoids having that many windows open inside of AUM.
    Cheers!

    I like you Jakob. I wish AUM would allow the same lowest latency with guitar amp sims that you can select when using the particular amp sim outside of AUM. For example some stand alone amp sims can be used with 64 or lower. AUM only gets down to 128. 🤷‍♂️

    • @meru_lpz
      @meru_lpz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timothy5974 It could be, though that would be suprising since 9th gen came out late 2021 and has an A13 cpu,
      whilst iphone 8 came out on 2017 with an A11 cpu...
      AUM is giving me the 64 frames option on the iphone lol
