Interesting! Didn’t know you could use AUM to turn a device into a midi controller. I always used miditure and midimittr on my iphone to act as an MPE controller
One small feature i’ ve used is the midi range curve under channel midi mapppings. You can map 1cc to 2 different channels with opposite range curves to get a crossfade or balance control.
The last feature is one of my favorites! It’s at the top of my list of things to share when I start making videos of stuff (after I get a little better settled into my place)
It’s pretty sweet. There are actually more apps that can and berries themselves as BLT controllers like MIDI Designee Pro for instance. I’ve used that in the past.
Hi Jakob, as usual a clear and useful tutorial :) You can also just tap on any small vertical meter and it'll show it on the top horizontal larger meter. I don't know why the smaller meters can't be 2 or 3 circles taller... Carry on the great work :)) sorry can't do emojis

Regarding bookmarks - you don’t have to bookmark the start and end, tapping the house icon in the bookmark window switches you back and forth from there..

A simple one that is not known by all is if you want to add a second or third etc fx, to a track, instead of going down to the + sign, you just double tap the line below the last fx in the verticale list.

Switch to AUM is definitely a keep sake especially since some apps are only in standalone some do have a side panel to switch still its useful to map that for quick Swiss’s in between iaa and host apps
Another cool tip is the transpose that you can access on all AUM tracks so with one sequencer you can do complex arrangements and multitimbral synth layering stuff
It’s a shame that it doesn’t have a quantization tool. ApeMatrix does and it’s the one thing AUM is missing on this aspect you’ve brought up! The scale quantizer on the ApeMatrix grid is a blessing

At about 10:30 you are talking about connecting your iPad mini via BT to Agonizer. But in the matrix it shows a connection from Cubasis 3 to Agonizer. Did I miss something? Or is it just a mishap (i.e. pressed the wrong column)?
Yes, the transport controls can be mapped so you can send play/stop, rewind etc on a midi controller. You can map controls in apps too to trigger them, play etc. and mixer controls are mappable to.

Jakob, why is that some plugins does not fit well after double tapping. For example Egoist. I have to manually resize the window to see the patter part on its bottom. So annoying. Nice list tho! :)
I spotted the deliberate error just to prove I watched it all very carefully Jakob. You connected cubasis in the last midi routing (instead of your iPad mini ). Great tips though. Ta. Lee

The AUM application, the nano control korg is not connecting for it to lower the volume, the korg gadget does work but the other application shows reading
Hello, I naively thought that these four products of yours would work on my Apple Mac. I could not get them to work so I got my Son to pop-around - and he explained why they would not work. Maybe my age had a part to play in this, I am 76 and not computer literate as I though I was. My “wrongful” purchase of these items is MY Fault. Pity I was looking forward to using these.
I have an MPK Mini pro 37 controller keyboard and want to map the play/record/rewind buttons to AUM’s transport controls. But when I try assigning these using AUM’s midi learn it doesn’t appear to work. Is there some trick to this I’m missing? Note: I used the following steps in AUM.. 1. Using the hamburger menu in the top right hand corner of AUM.. 2. I select midi control.. 3. Then under transport, I select parameters.. 4. From there I select toggle play. 5. I then tap midi learn and then the play button on the controller. This should work, but it doesn’t.

return to AUM is a great tipp. But if i return to AUM while Beatmaker3 is playing a pattern it returns to aum but stop playing and gets an anoying constant dark sound, dont know how to get rid of it.
How can I change quickly between presets in AUM? let's say I have three channels to find with three different instruments that have the sounds bass, piano, horns and they have their zones set. then for the next song I need to switch to a new set of presets that this time have strings, rhoads, oboe and they use some new instruments. If I have a set list of 40 songs is there a way to show a list of the 40 presets and just tap go to the next I'm ready to start the next song? I don't see anything in the manual about presets

Hey man I'm trying to do Livestream through this software where I take in 32 channels from my mixer through a USB and send one channel back into the board so my Livestream team can use my aux on my x32 board how can this work is it possible (have tryed a lot of rerouting can't make sending back a channel work)
Press on a channel name and drag up. When you do this, the channel view will zoom out and now you can drag channels sideways, left and right, to re-order then.

I got two iPad Air 2 and I can’t connect them in peripheral/central midi routing. It says “non compatible”. I want to use KB-1 scaler to control the second one. Any suggestion amigos?
Technically infinite. What actually sets the limit of a project is the hardware capabilities of the iOS device, together with the amount of and type of AUv3 plugins you’re running inside a project.
@JakobHaq I'm using m1 iPad, iPhone13 PM & iPhone6SPlus all for MIDI Guitar (controller) for live, not recording. The 6SPlus is last version to have a headphone jack. I need to have multiple faders active with various sounds like organs, pianos, strings, brass, pads & others used on the fly for live performing.
It would be cool if the volume slider of each channel would also be a combined meter (or have the ability to toggle between the two) or just have a meter alongside it
What I got from this video: I was interested in AUM, but after seeing this tutorial and reading comments about other hidden features & workflow tips..this app is not for me.
What I’m showing here is the stuff that people easily miss. Great features but maybe not necessary for a lot of people. My advice would be to go watch a “AUM basics” video first before you make up your mind. 👍
AUM actually has an audio timeline that is hidden from the user interface. Use “offset” to trigger audio as on a timeline e.g.: intro = offset 0 Verse = offset 64 Chorus = offset 128 Verse = offset 192 Chorus = offset 256 Bridge = offset 320 Chorus = offset 384 You can even fast forward or rewind by dragging the transport control section, but each section needs to be on a separate track, because there is only one offset trigger per sample. I hope we get an actual timeline UI one day, or at least multiple offset triggers per phrase sample.

I can’t get it done now, I’m waiting too. It’s not on my end. I’ve tried sharing the presets from myself to another pad but I couldn’t get that to work either, otherwise I could have shared them in another way. So now I have to wait.

AUM should have a toggle tab between narrow view and full view of the mixer. This would help to see more channels on the screen.

Yeah I love stuff like that! I set up macros for volume/dist or volume/filter a lot. I love having full on control.
i wonder why they don't have an option to have meters overlayed to the big faders for each channels.. that'd be so much more intuitive and easy to see

I think that might have something to do with how individual apps are coded to scale, so it’s not AUM.

Hmm, that’s weird and I’ve never seen that behaviour before. Try to delete/“forget this connection” in Bluetooth settings and try to set it up again.

So I can add & subtract sounds quickly using the iOS faders while playing live.

I can’t get it done now, I’m waiting too. It’s not on my end. I’ve tried sharing the presets from myself to another pad but I couldn’t get that to work either, otherwise I could have shared them in another way. So now I have to wait.
I got a response that they’ve notified the product manager for Mixbox, so they’re looking into it.
Ok so there is something going on with my registration but the tech guys aren’t back until Monday. There might be something weird going on with yours too.
They’re still on it. And I’ve been helping them test as I’m not getting the in app message either.

Tap on "Related Downloads" under MixBox CS and get access to all signature presets.
I've stopped watching your content because of this habit of omitting proper index titles. I assume it's to try and make people watch the whole video in the hope they'll stumble across what they're after.b It's a pity, and frustrating.
