  • When it comes to looking for a car that fits, well, everyone, it’s no easy task. What more when cars these days have to be built for the young and old, the beginner and the seasoned driver as well as male and female drivers?
    And if you think designing a car for the fairer sex is easy, think again. Us “car enthusiasts” often think the world revolves around us when it comes to driver ergonomics, chassis tuning and whatnot but beyond that, there’s a whole different segment of buyers looking for completely different things.
    So, to find out if the 2023 Mazda CX-30 does indeed fit everyone, Greg has compiled a checklist of things to look for in a new car from the female spectrum. Question is, does the CX-30 have what they’re looking for?

    This is not a women car la. You got it all wrong. It’s just a compact SUV. For men and women. This the worse review for MAZDA CX 30.

    Things that a girl would consider:
    1) auto wiper,
    2) auto rear & headlights,
    3) 360 camera that has good visibility especially at night (not the low resolution type that is blurry when used at dark surrounding) only few cars in Malaysia has good stock 360 camera e.g. cx30.
    4) adaptive cruise control with stop & go function,
    5) Apple car play for waze & apple music,
    6) auto lock when walking away from car,
    7) auto boot
    8) easy access (able to unlock car by touching car door handle)
    9) as mentioned in the video above, handbag hooks that Myvi has to safe keep her handbag (and preferably even space for her laptop bag)
    10) prefers run flat tyres so that if the tyre does hit a nail, she can still drive home and let her hubby/bf/father pump air/change tyres for her (to avoid having to change herself by roadside if roadside assistance is not available)
    11) visibility from driver perspective when driving (bmw x1 u11 has good visibility)
    12) car’s ground clearance (cars like xc40 with 200mm ground clearance) my wife is afraid of scratching the bumper / rims when parked near curb
    13) physical dials / buttons to change aircon speed, temperature and music volume (golf gti mk8 doesn’t even have lights on their aircon control)
    14) driver seat auto adjustable (especially height)
    15) preferably without auto start / stop function (the one that cuts off the engine when the car is idle)
    16) auto handbrake
    17) auto dimming on side mirrors and rear mirror (as she has astigmatism)
    18) welcome lights (girls wearing high heels would appreciate this to avoid stepping on stones / uneven roads when surrounding is dark)
    19) sufficiently lit car boot (so that girls can find their shoes / heels)
    20) blind spot monitoring
    21) lead car notification (informing driver when the car in front has moved away)
    22) prefer not to have sunroof because Malaysia’s hot sun will cause pigmentation (ok to have if able to cover sunroof, also main concern of my wife when she saw Tesla’s huge sunroof)
    For ladies with family planning in mind, we also appreciate if:
    1) front passenger has button to lock / unlock cars because it is difficult for pregnant ladies to stretch to driver side to lock the door especially at petrol / charging stations.
    2) large door assess to rear seats, sufficient headroom & legroom at rear passenger seats (easier to fix baby seat)
    3) front isofix (the one that golf gti has is good, although not recommendable) but easier for single mum to attend to baby (after parking car by roadside) instead of having to stretch from driver seat to back seat especially if baby seat is rear facing
    4) ride height (many girls prefer suv especially when pregnant because easier to get in / out from car)
    Things that most ladies don’t care about (unless if she is a car enthusiast):
    1) if it is naturally aspirated / turbo / v6/v8
    2) how much hp / torque
    3) 0-100 in 5sec or 9sec

    I dont quite understand that the review is about how woman is going to percieve this car. A car review should be unisex, well Mini's are made for woman bcs it's easier to park and maneuver. The concept of male reviewing a car to be woman-centric to me is absurd. TBH a car even if its made gender specific but its not illegal for a car is driven by male if its primary target audience are females. An unbiased gender dominated car review is the way to go in my opinion

    While the intro is a wee bit long, I actually enjoy your review very much. Most car reviews revolves around features that generally men drivers care about (engine, speed & jargons that I don’t understand) However, this video touches what I care about in a car (the height of the boot for petite asian girls, storage & fuel efficiency)
    Appreciate the effort to be inclusive of some females who want a simple understanding of a car’s feature.
    I think the hate comments just come from people who aren’t able to stand in our pov😅😅

  • @speedycatz
    @speedycatz 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

    Yes, because those who are interested in things are majority men, and those who are interested in people are majority women. Hence, mechanical objects are appreciated by men more, and the market is driven by that.
    Mazda design cars around human-centric approach, never have I heard from their design team anything about designing cars around women.
    I’d suggest you don’t bring this western gender ideology into car reviews. The context seems to be forced and is unwarranted.

    • @kierkier2368
      @kierkier2368 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree. Their stupid WapCar idea to make a car channel become "woke" to support some stupid political movement in the US... I am shocked that a car channel in Malaysia is doing this rubbish feminist movement...

    • @speedycatz
      @speedycatz 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@kierkier2368 Perhaps they should rename their channel “WokeCar” and review cars specifically for the woke community. I immediately unsubscribed after seeing the intro; that lame, woke-pandering quote from Emma Watson, and his forced segue into the car.
