My Citi Premier account converted to the Strata Premier this morning, I already have my replacement card on order! ✊

strata having travel protection is awesome!
FYI: The Strata can be upgraded to the PRESTIGE by calling the number on the back of Strata to determine eligibility. (according to Citi's website)

@@RJFinancialCiti is strict reason I just product changed my Double Cash to the Premier in 2023. Of course if you want the bonus you will want to apply for a new account!

Ben Hedges mentioned that one difference with the Strata Premier is that the 10% back on booking hotels through the travel portal will be made permanent. That seems to be the only real difference, but it is a welcome addition.
Unfortunately the Citi Travel portal is so overpriced compared to booking directly, that it negates both the $100 hotel credit AND the 10 points per dollar.
The cards is out now of course... and I saw that is a permanent feature. Before it was a part of the intro offer I think for the old Premier.

Fair. I liked how they added Alaska better. Hilton is the name everyone wants so the average person will be thrilled is my guess
I’ve been holding onto the Citi Prestige so I’m really interested to see what they do with Elite. I eat out a ton and use Priority Pass restaurants a lot so it made sense to keep Prestige. I’m encouraged by travel protections returning on the Strata Premier, which has been sorely missed on Prestige. For Elite, I would love to see the same benefits plus some AAdvantage benefit (transfer partner, loyalty point earnings, elite status, etc.).
Weirdly enough Citi is the last man standing with PP Restaurant perk.
When I found out about Citi releasing the Strata Premier, I was glad that almost everything was staying the same. Although, I was hoping they would have reduced the spend requirement to get the $100 annual hotel credit. With it being a "new" card with an elevated welcome offer, I think Citi may be lenient with their approval rules. Therefore, I think you may have a good chance at getting approved for it. I'll definitely be looking forward to your video on whether or not you will be approved for it!

I left Citi when they dropped the travel protection. Now that protections are returning I might have a second look.

I product changed my Strata Premier to a Custom Cash this evening. I still can’t get over the cheap ass low grade plastic design of the Strata Premier. The Citi Premier had a more premium look and feel, I have other travel cards with similar or better rewards so no loss.
Love me a custom cash. Design isn't great. It probably shoulda at least been flimsy metal like the CSP and Autograph cards. As they are competitors
I was denied for this card, lol. Letter I got:
- Your credit report shows a high amount of unused credit compared to your available credit lines.
- Your credit report shows too many bank or national revolving accounts.

WF definitely is on thr cusp of being extremely valuable. They do have the basics covered, but it's not enough to want to me to switch. Maybe just to complement ($0 autograph)? But, if they have Bilt partners, then that would be wonderful and absolutely a reason to change.
Fair. I don't think they care about any of us switching. This is for the regular people. Simple, easy to use, and low price cards win the masses.
Meh. WF is not trying to (aggressively) compete or be leader in card space. They just want to make sure they can keep customers and attract a few more (at low cost)..similarly to Citi.
Got approved with 6/24(1/12) new accounts and 5/24 HPs (0/12). Yay.

I am pretty sure the Strata not only adds protections it didn't have before (made no sense), but also made the 10x multipliers on hotels and rental cars permanent. Right?

Strata Elite with 5x on dining, groceries, gas/EV and flights with a $450 to $500 af plus $300 to $400 in credits. Is it coming out the end of this year? 6 monts after the Strata?
I guess next year. Maybe in time for holiday spend and travel. Depends on if you can have both cards or they make it like the sapphire where you can only have one.
I applied for the Citi Strata Premier card. I'm already disappointed in the card even though I haven't received it yet. Yes, it has travel benefits, but I called the bank and asked if it had "Worldwide Travel Accident Insurance". They told me that it does not have this benefit. What kind of travel card doesn't come with travel accident insurance? I will book a hotel to get the $100 back on the annual fee, and I'll do the minimum spend in order to get the bonus points. But I don't expect to keep the card beyond the first year.
All most of these cards are good for is the easy money. Downgrade to a second custom cash in year two

If you want the Citi life and travel then it’s all three cards. If you don’t travel then I wouldn’t pay for Strata in year two. You can find higher multipliers in each category for free elsewhere. That Mainly works if you do cash back.

I hope you get approved for the card, but im iffy for ya. Plus I like how you just say fuck it and apply for cards. Many people are scared to get inquires and worry too much about 5/24 status. Im tired of it. Get chase cards and move on. Garden later. Just my 2 cents.

Some constructive criticism. If this is going to be your job, which I believe it is, you can’t just “mail it in”. No research…no enthusiasm Your I don’t give a damn attitude come through loud and clear. I think you are, or at least can be, better than this. Rewatch this and ask yourself if this is the best you can do and represents excellence of execution. When you rewatch ask yourself if this “expert” seems knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this subject. Again, constructive criticism.
